We come inside a jam-packed Nutter Center, which is somber. Members of the United Remnant Band Of The Shawnee Nation are in the ring with Alpha Force, Star Warrior, SuperNova, and Bloodline. The leader of the Tribe pulls out a flute and performs “Amazing Grace”.

There is not a dry eye in the house.

As the song ends, they are greeted with polite applause, and then chants of “O-ME-GA” break out.
The Tribe members hug each member of Omega's family, and they all exit the ring as the chants continue. Star Warrior acknowledges the chants, and the crowd pops.

Mean Gene Okerlund comes down the aisle and into the ring to a huge pop.

MENE GENE OKERLUND
Good Evening, and Welcome To Championship Saturday and the Finals of The Omega Cup! (Huge crowd pop). At this time, let me bring out one of the greatest tag teams in the world, and the known universe as well. Please welcome......THE GLADIATORS!

(As “Metal Health” by Quiet Riot plays, Brute, Massacre, and Vengeance come down the aisle to a huge crowd pop and chants of “GLAD-I-A-TORS”. They enter the ring)

MEAN GENE OKERLUND
Brute, let's start with you, it's been a tough couple of weeks for you, but through it all, you're still standing, and in the eyes of the wrestling world, you've become quite the hero. What are your thoughts on all of this?

BRUTE
(Takes a deep breath)
Mean Gene, I don't know what to think. I mean, I think I'm still the same guy I always was, but maybe now, I'm just aiming that rage for a better reason. I'm not going to mention that POS' name that started all of this, but.....

(We are interrupted by “Dogs Of War” by AC/DC, and Aethran rookie WARHAMMER comes out and enters the ring to a chorus of boos)

MEAN GENE OKERLUND
WARHAMMER, what brings you out here, I was trying.....
WARHAMMER (Silences MGO and asks for a mic)
You see Brute, there's where you're wrong, his name SHOULD be mentioned. His legacy will be carried on by ME, whether YOU like it or not (Gets nose to nose with Brute as crowd begins to stir)
BRUTE
I've heard about you – a big punk loudmouth. You know what, I was a big punk loudmouth too when I was your age. It's kind of expected within the Aethran Fight Club. But you see kid, it's like this. Being loud will only get you so far, and the AFC I remember destroyed their opponents in the ring, not their lives outside of it, and they didn't threaten innocent lives as well. My friends' lives were nearly ended, and mine was too. That's not what we were about. So yeah, I might be an Aethran by birth, but now, me and my friends are our own men by choice! (Huge pop)
WARHAMMER
Oh my, are we becoming soft.......UNCLE BRUTE! (Crowd reacts)
BRUTE
(Spoken in a half growl) Uncle Brute can still kick YOUR ass, boy

(Referees enter the ring to separate Brute and Warhammer. Scott, who is in the broadcast position with Mark Lowrance and Paul Ellering, takes a mic)

SCOTT
All right, ENOUGH! Warhammer I do NOT care for you interrupting this
BRUTE
Scott, let ME fight him (Crowd pops)
WARHAMMER
Hey, I don't fight for no reason. If I fight you and beat you, I want the first open spot in Block 2
BRUTE
And when I fight you and beat you, you go away for good!
SCOTT
We have just added ANOTHER match to the card (Huge crowd pop). Brute and Warhammer will fight. If Warhammer wins, he gets a spot in Block 2, If Brute wins, Warhammer is gone from SSUSA! Get ready boys, it's ON! (Huge crowd pop)
MARK LOWRANCE
And there you have it folks, a bonus match to go with the already stacked card here tonight at Championship Saturday. We welcome you to a jam-packed Nutter Center for the finals of The Omega Cup, but as you know Paul, a little sadness hangs in the air
PAUL ELLERING
Yes it does, Mark, Omega was loved by everyone that knew him. Tonight, Omega's family will be presenting the trophies and the Black Belts to the winners of the finals, and I understand Scott has a big announcement to make, and he's in the ring right now with Mean Gene Okerlund. Take it away Gene.

GENE OKERLUND
I thank you Paul and Mark, here in center ring I have Strong Style Owner and Commissioner SCOTT in the ring with me, and I understand you have a couple of huge announcements
SCOTT
That's correct Gene. The first one is, basically, I have to step down as Commissioner after what has happened recently......HOWEVER........I've found a superb individual to take over, and I think you all know him. He's joining us tonight via satellite from his home on the west coast, please welcome ROWDY RODDY PIPER! (Huge pop)
RODDY PIPER
How ya doin' Scott! I see you're havin' a little problem with some guy named Clawhammer, Jackhammer, Ballpeen Hammer, whatever, well, tell ya what, I hope Brute takes care of him, but if by chance he doesn't me and him might have to have a little talk (Huge crowd pop). I'd love to be there, but I'm recovering from a touch of the bug, but guess what, I'll be there next week!
SCOTT
We look forward to having you back, Roddy. That brings me to my second announcement. In the short time we have been in existence Strong Style USA has become not only national, but international, and with some of the galactic stars joining us, you could say interstellar. With that, I felt a change was in order. I discussed it with Omega, God rest his soul, and he loved it, so in his honor, as of right now, we are now known and will forever be known as STRONG STYLE UNIVERSE! (Huge pop) We hope you will continue to follow Strong Style Universe as you have Strong Style USA. Mark and Paul, back to you
MARK
Thanks Scott, Paul, let's talk about our finals. In the Women's final, ODB faces who has to be the sentimental favorite, SuperNova
PAUL
Maybe so, but with everything she's been through recently, is she 100% ready for the match? If she is, I don't think ODB can stop her. ODB is going to have to corner her and beat her to death
MARK
And in the Men's final, Lou Thesz takes on Bandido
PAUL
Very evenly matched, I give Thesz the edge in wrestling, but Bandido's agility advantage may offset that.
MARK
It's time to do it STRONG STYLE, and we head up to the ring and Gavin Loudspeaker for our opening contest

SPECIAL CHALLENGE MATCH – BRUTE VS WARHAMMER
IF BRUTE WINS, WARHAMMER IS GONE FROM SSU
IF WARHAMMER WINS, HE SECURES THE FIRST OPEN SPOT IN BLOCK 2
Warhammer off to a quick start with corner whips and running smashes. Warhammer lands an impressive dropkick and Brute is down. On another corner whip, Brute hits Warhammer with knees as he comes in. A running clothesline by Brute turns Warhammer inside out, and a DECAPITATOR drops Warhammer for the three count.

WINNER – Brute via pinfall at 2:02

Brute picks up the defeated Warhammer, gorilla presses him over his head, and throws him to the floor, where security and referees escort him out of the building

THE BIG BANG BATTLE
PENNY HOFSTADTER VS BERNADETTE WOLOWITZ
This was a lot more of a physical war than most people anticipated. Bernadette dominated most of the contest, but Penny caught her in a mistake and hit the PENNY POWERBOMB for the win

What was expected to be an outright brawl turned into domination by Tommy Rich, as he used his superior wrestling ability to negate the brawling edge of Mance Warner. Tommy takes the match with the THESZ PRESS

We see a video package previewing our next match. Nikki Bella states that someone that looks like Rotunda doesn't belong here. Rotunda states that Nikki Bella made a lot of money uttering the same two lines on “Total Divas” week after week, which were “Let's go drink wine” and “I miss my man”. With such a television reputation, it's no wonder John Cena dumper her!

THE LADY VS THE DIVA
“THAT BIG, BAD, FINE WOMAN” ROTUNDA VS “TOTAL DIVA” NIKKI BELLA
The new look Rotunda was quite a match for Nikki Bella, but neither lady would go quietly as they nearly fought to a draw. In the end, a lariat by Rotunda followed by LADY SINGS THE BLUES gets her the pinfall and a degree of satisfaction

THE BLOOD WAR
“THE INTELLIGENT MONSTER” BRUISER BRODY VS “THE MADMAN FROM THE SUDAN” ABDULLAH THE BUTCHER
As you might expect, this match spent more than its fair share outside the ring, where Brody would get and keep the advantage by cutting Abdullah deeply on a steel guardrail. Abdullah, true to form, would not quit, and it was only after several PILEDRIVERS that Brody was able to score the pinfall

Fairly even, power based match, until Thunderkitty gets hung throat first on the top rope by Grace. Grace then with FALL FROM GRACE for the three count

BLACKJACK MULLIGAN VS STAN “THE LARIAT” HANSEN
It was expected to be a brutal battle, and that's exactly what it was, and believe it or not, it spent very little time outside the ring. Mulligan took the win after a Trapezius Claw to an exhausted Hansen

After early back and forth, a perfectly thrown chair by Bandido busted Thesz open deeply, and only served to PO Thesz. Thesz, from that point forward, dominated Bandido with submission wrestling, various throws, and body shots, finally scoring the pin with the THESZ PRESS

It is now time for The Main Event!

ODB enters first with a Harley Davidson escort and local H.O.G. Members lining the aisleway as she makes her entrance.

SuperNova then enters escorted by the Chief of The United Remnant Band Of The Shawnee Nation. Nation members line the aisleway as she is brought to the ring. She stops to hug her family and enters the ring.

WOMEN'S OMEGA CUP FINAL
FOR THE STRONG STYLE UNIVERSE WOMEN'S BLACK BELT
ODB VS SUPERNOVA
In an incredible back and forth classic, SuperNova takes advantage of a reckless charge by ODB and sends her staggering with double knees. SPEED OF LIGHT scores a 2.99 count, but undaunted, SuperNova hits a second SPEED OF LIGHT immediately afterward to score the pinfall
WINNER AND NEW STRONG STYLE UNIVERSE WOMEN'S BLACK BELT
SuperNova via pinfall at 17:47

When the third count is struck, an enormous pop rocks the building. SuperNova is handed her belt and begins crying. ODB comes over to her and they hug to another huge pop. Lou Thesz comes out and he and SuperNova hug as well. Mark Lowrance enters the ring.

MARK
Please give a great round of applause to our tournament winners and our new Black Belts, Lou Thesz (great pop) and SuperNova (huge pop). Lou, let's start with you, despite being cut deeply by Bandido, you didn't slow down, as a matter of fact it's safe to say you got mad, wouldn't you say?
LOU THESZ
I think that would be correct. I try to wrestle when I'm in here, but when I'm fouled in that fashion, I have no problem responding in kind, and I think Bandido learned that tonight, but let's face it, this night belongs to this young lady over here, congratulations SuperNova (another huge pop)
STAR WARRIOR
On behalf of my father Omega, and the family, we would like to present to you, Lou Thesz, as the winner of the Omega Cup, this beautiful trophy. Congratulations! (Star Warrior, Alpha Force, and Bloodline all shake hands with Thesz. Lou Thesz hugs SuperNova again and leaves the ring)
MARK
And now we come to you, the winner of the Women's Omega Cup and the Women's Black Belt, SuperNova (huge pop). Take us through the past couple of weeks and the emotions you've been going through
SUPERNOVA
Oh My God, fighting some of the best women in the known universe, and then having to deal with my Dad (pauses).........He was such a great man, and to win the tournament named after him makes not having him around a little easier
MARK
I think this young man has something for you....
STAR WARRIOR
(Chokes Up) On behalf of our.....father........Omega, your two brothers, and your nephew, we would like to present to you, SuperNova, as the winner of the Women's Omega Cup, this beautiful trophy. Dad would have been so proud of you. Congratulations! (They all hug to a huge pop)
MARK

Well, they already fought, and due to a prematch stipulation, Warhammer is gone from SSU.  However, there are several Aethrans that aren't real pleased that Brute, Massacre, and Vengeance decided to be their own men.  Wait until you see their new business venture.

Hey Gang!
Been working a lot lately, so haven't had time to post with Christmas, Music Trivia, and a performance on NYE coming up.  Also, a special thanks to all of you who nominated Strong Style USA (NKA Strong Style Universe), as well as voted for me, for Fed Of The Year.  It's nice to know I'm doing something right.

With that said, I'll be back shortly to begin Block 1 of bracket competition for both Black Belts, as Lou Thesz and SuperNova are both itching to see whom will challenge them first.

CALL THEM HEROES?  NOT SO FAST
Long time wrestling "Gladiators" just see themselves as regular guys

DAYTON, OH - At six feet, 10 inches tall and nearly 400 pounds, the wrestler known as Brute definitely lives up to the name in the ring

Along with his longtime partner and friend, Massacre, they've terrorized rings all over the galaxy in tag team competition with each other and their fellow gladiator, Vengeance, wrecking careers and inciting the fans' wrath wherever they went, until Massacre and Vengeance disappeared and were thought to be dead.

Until recently, when Brute was on the other end of the spectrum, so to speak.  One of his fellow Aethrans wanted him dead, and went to great lengths to do it.

"I couldn't understand it" Brute told me over dinner with Massacre, Vengeance, and Scott "Yeah, I was not a nice guy, but I never tried to end anyone's life.  So why was someone doing it to me?  I figured it was an irate fan with nothing better to do"

Brute was nearly ran over in the parking lot of the Nutter Center while walking with his then friend, The Overmaster, but he didn't grasp the severity of the situation until he was in the middle of the ring when suddenly, raw, bloody chicken was dumped on him

"I was embarrassed and really pissed off, if you want to know the truth.  I paid a LOT for that suit"  Brute laughed  "But Scott, the owner, bought me another one, so that was good"

Scott, however, began to get suspicious

"This, to me, was more than a personal rivalry to someone" Scott began "The phone call and the video proved it to me.  Having followed Brute, my first thought was it was a professional rival.  Brute, at first, thought I was patronizing him.  He wasn't used to people actually trying to help him, as he was insistent on doing everything himself.  So I began poking around.  It was then that Omega wanted to talk to me privately"

That conversation led to a very dramatic discovery - Massacre and Vengeance, long thought to be dead, were actually alive and rehabilitating, thanks to Omega, one of their ring enemies in the past.  It was found that, after a match years ago, Massacre and Vengeance were severly injured in a locker room attack led by fellow Aethran Paralyze

"When he brought out Massacre and Vengeance after all that time, you could have hit me with a truck and I wouldn't have felt it.  I was in complete shock, and then I was happy to have my best friend and my old buddy back with me" Brute recalled "We shared a long hug, something you don't EVER see Aethrans do in public.  It was thought of as weakness.  But at that time, I was just so overwhelmed."

"Yep, he was still the big gorilla I remembered" Massacre said, laughing

"Poor guy would be lost if he didn't have us around" Vengeance added, also laughing "But yeah, the rumors are true - Omega got us taken care of physically.  I owe him for that.  I owe him my life, if you want to be honest about it"

Scott began piecing things together and found that fellow Aethrans Paralyze and Strafe were in on the plot.  It led to a confrontation that resulted in the both of them being shot and killed in self defense by Scott.  Then things went south from there.

"I began piecing things together and found Overmaster was behind it, and he decided to use my wife and my niece, Jamie, to get back at me, so he kidnapped them.  He didn't count on the bond that Jamie had formed with Brute, Massacre, and Vengeance.  They were her new uncles, and the three of them grew fond of her"

"Scott proved that he really cared about helping me and my friends, and when I found out he was going to hurt Tina (Scott's wife) and Jamie, going after him to save them two was the right thing to do, and if my fellow Aethrans didn't like it, then oh well.  I was suspicious of Scott, but after meeting Jamie, I figured he was OK"  Brute said.

In a dramatic fight on top of the Kettering Tower in a driving rainstorm, and aided by local law enforcement, Scott, Brute, Massacre, and Vengeance took on the crazed Overmaster.  Brute ended the fight by a wicked uppercut that sent Overmaster plunging to his death.  It would be when they all came down off the building and onto West 2nd Street that Brute was shocked.

"There was all these people that heard about what happened, and they came down to see it, I guess.  When they heard what happened, they began cheering us, I mean, REALLY cheering us.  They were calling me hero, ME, a hero.  Do you believe that? I don't see myself as a hero, I just did the right thing in the situation, but boy did it open the floodgates.  We've done several autograph signings to turnaway crowds and people love us wherever we go"

"Imagine THAT, people love US!" Massacre says in faint shock "But it's nice"

Despite the happy ending, there was one casualty - Omega was beaten and drugged to death by the Overmaster trying to protect Tina and Jamie from the Overmaster and his accomplice, Spike.  Omega was remember fondly in a tribute before Strong Style Universe's "Championship Saturday" event that did not leave a dry eye in the house, and was topped off by SuperNova, Omega's daughter, defeating ODB to win the Women's Omega Cup tournament and the SSU Women's Black Belt.  

With everything that has happened, how are the Gladiator's getting along with Omega's family, which includes one of their longtime nemeses, Star Warrior? 

"I wouldn't call us friends or anything, but we're cool.  We can be in the same room without wanting to fight each other, let's put it that way" Brute said "When this was all said and done, and Star found out what Omega had done, we buried the hatchet and shook hands"

Now, Brute is preparing himself for an in ring return.  He defeated rookie Aethran Warhammer in a challenge match at Championship Saturday in just over two minutes.  Massacre and Vengeance are starting a new business venture together running a gym partially financed by Scott.

"Massacre and I aren't cleared to wrestle, so we needed something to do.  Most of our money was used to pay for medical bills, so Scott, out of gratitude for helping save his wife and niece, gave us a place to stay and helped us with financing to open Gladiators' Gym.  We couldn't be more grateful"

So after all this, have The Gladiators gotten used to being called heroes?

"It's nice to hear, but it doesn't change anything.  We're still regular guys, we're just easier to get along with now" Brute said, as everyone laughed.

And what would happen if they decided to return to their hellraising ways?

"Scott has already said if that happened, he'd send his niece after us! He doesn't want her uncles disappointing her"

They all laughed again, Brute especially.  After nearly being killed, being reunited with his best friends, and finding people who truly care about him and his friends, life is pretty good.

STRONG STYLE UNIVERSE

PART ONE

After the events leading up to, and surrounding, Championship Saturday, SSU Owner Scott wanted to give the talent a little time off to grieve and heal, as well as take care of the legal issues surrounding the contract put out on Brute, as well as his family's involvement in said issues

The talent is rested, refreshed, and ready to go.

Brute, Massacre, and Vengeance are all fine. Brute will be a part of the SSU Roster, while Massacre and Vengeance will be starting their own business venture. More on that later.

Scott, his wife Tina, and their niece Jamie have resolved all the issues needing resolution. Thanks to the Omega Cup and Championship Saturday, Scott has secured a nice television deal.

As mentioned on Championship Saturday, Roddy Piper is coming back to handle the role of Commissioner and Director Of Competition.

So it's time to do it once again, STRONG STYLE

We welcome you once again to the Ervin J. Nutter Center on the campus of Wright State University in Fairborn, OH. A banner of Omega hangs from the ceiling now to remember the great warrior of the ring.

We open the show with Director Of Competition Roddy Piper in the ring. Roddy welcomes everyone to Strong Style Universe. Roddy sends his best to Omega's family, then says let's get down to business. Roddy says when he came back he talked to Scott, the owner, and he had an idea to get Block 1 started with a bang. We're gonna have two Second Chance Battle Royals featuring the top 12 ranked stars from each division and two bonus competitors.

First we bring out the women. Roddy introduces the women – ODB, Victoria, Mildred Burke, Madison Rayne, She Devil, Judy Martin, Barbi Hayden, Tina Moretti, MsChif, Jordynne Grace, Penny Hofstadter, and Rotunda. Then Roddy introduces the two bonus stars......Nikki Bella, who enters the ring and immediately gets face to face with Rotunda, and Thunderkitty.

Then we bring out the men. Roddy then introduces the men – Bandido, Matt Sydal, Martin Casaus, Freddie Blassie, Austin Aries, Lance Hoyt, Ted DiBiase, Jackie Fargo, PCO, Tommy Rich, Bruiser Brody, and Blackjack Mulligan. Then Roddy introduces the two bonus stars......Brute, who gets a huge pop, and Warhammer, who gets nose to nose with Brute in the aisle, forcing everyone else to step between them and separate them.

Once order is restored, Roddy explains the rules – The two bonus stars for each squad take the #13 and #14 ranks. As fighters are eliminated, they will be reranked, 1st fighter eliminated is ranked #14, and so on up to number 1. The last fighter remaining in each battle royal receives the #1 contender slot and $50000........BUT, the fighter in each division that can improve their position in the rankings by the MOST spots gets a title shot........TONIGHT! We see Lou Thesz and SuperNova look at each other, shake their heads, and leave their spots to go get ready.   The men are in the ring, we ring the bell, and here we go.....

After the free meal and the meet and greet with the stars of SSU, it's now time for our two title matches. We go up to the ring

SN started quickly, hitting TK with the Running Star Blast and sending her flying outside. SN controlled the first two minutes, until receiving a stun gun from TK. TK would send SN outside, butODB SN sent TK hard to the rail, drawing a public warning. Back in the ring SN missed a corner charge and was rolled up for a near fall. TK follows up with the Cornbread Clutch, which SN manages to escape. SN finds an opening shortly after and hits the Running Star Blast again for the pinfall and the win

WINNER – SuperNova via pinfall at 3:59

SuperNova pointed at the banner of Omega after leaving the ring. ThunderKitty was beside herself with anger.

A classic back and forth match where Warhammer demonstrated that he was indeed a main event player. It would take sending WH outside, sending him headfirst into a table, and hitting the THESZ PRESS to finally put Warhammer away. Lou Thesz was in a war and he knew it after the match!

Just caught up on everything Strong Style.

Really enjoyed those battle royals and that was a nice touch regarding how to earn the title shots.

Was pulling for Thunderkitty to win the title but it wasn't meant to be.

I am a really big fan of Omega and to see Supernova in my minds eye point up to his banner was very cool.

Kinda like you know that scene from The Hateful Eight when Kurt Russell is a little choked up reading Samuel L. Jackson's "Lincoln Letter" and says, "Ol Mary Todd...well that just get's me".

Lou Thesz retains!! And that's always awesome.
