LCW Monday Night TNT
Monday, February 18 – Year 1
The show opens with Jim Duggan in the ring:
“I’m proud of this flag and I’ll continue to wave it high above my head! I’m proud of the history of the good ‘ole USA! And I’m proud to be wrestling on LCW Monday Night TNT on President’s Day! Iron Sheik! Shawn Daivari! You two stomp your curly toe boots down to the ring and meet me and my partner in the ring tonight, if you two tough guys got it in ya! Hooooo!!!”
Gavin Loudspeaker: “At least Hacksaw isn’t dumb enough to take on Iron Sheik and Daivari himself! I wonder who he has lined up as his partner tonight!?!”
Ian Riccaboni: “I don’t know but he’d better be good. We saw the damage that Iron Sheik and Daivari can do when they took out Steve Regal yesterday!”
Rock n Roll Express vs. Martin Stone & Johnny Saint – The Rock n Roll Express keep Martin Stone in the ring for the majority of the match, not allowing Johnny Saint into the match. Saint is always one to play by the rules so he didn’t get involved much when his partner was getting double teamed by Gibson and Morton. The Rock n Roll Express pin Stone after a DOUBLE DROPKICK.
A camera is following Jim Duggan as he walks in on a meeting between Dave Marquez and Morgan Dollar.
Duggan: “Oh, sorry boss.”
Marquez: “No, it’s OK, we were just finishing up… So, Morgan, you swear you didn’t take money from Ted DiBiase?”
Dollar: “I swear.”
Marquez: “Good enough for me. You’ve always been a stand up guy. No reason to believe you’ve changed.”
Morgan Dollar walks out and Jim Duggan walks in.
Duggan: “Boss, I had an idea. Tonight is President’s Day. What better way to commemorate the occasion than by announcing a new LCW title… a United States Title! A title that is only defended in the greatest country in the world! The good ‘ole USA!”
Marquez: “Hmmm, that’s not a terrible idea except that we are a US based wrestling promotion and don’t currently have any plans to travel overseas… so ALL of our titles will be defended exclusively in the USA. Let me think that over and get back to you, Jim. I’ve got some work to do here. Let’s talk later.”
Pete Dunne vs. Cheeseburger – Surprisingly competitive match! Cheeseburger is really over-achieving in his matches lately. He ultimately falls to a Dunne rope hung DDT though. Dunne wins.
Dave Marquez comes out to the entrance stage: “During yesterday’s LCW Go! show, Steve Regal and Jim Duggan were attacked by Iron Sheik and Shawn Daivari after their match. Hacksaw is all kinds of pissed off but Steve Regal has a cracked rib and is going to be out of action for at least five weeks. I’m still deciding what to do with Iron Sheik and Daivari but for now, they have a special President’s match… and it’s right now.”
Iron Sheik & Shawn Daivari vs. Jim Duggan & Abraham Lincoln – Iron Sheik and Daivari double team Jim Duggan and repeatedly keep him from being able to tag out. Over and over, Duggan starts to mount an offense but is cut off again. Finally, after Daivari jumps off the top rope but is caught with a big Duggan clothesline. He finally makes the tag to Honest Abe. Abe slams Daivari to the canvas with the THROAT LIFT SLAM for the 1-2-3. Duggan and Lincoln win!
Malia Hosaka, Nora Greenwald, Jazz and Madison Rayne walk into Dave Marquez’s office:
Marquez: “Hi ladies, you all have a match coming up here soon, right?”
Rayne: “We do but we all wanted to come in and whisper in your ear about a little something.”
Greenwald: “Ewww… Despite us all not exactly seeing eye to eye, we can find some common ground on one thing.”
Jazz: “It’s time for a women’s title, Dave! These guys are all chasing after DiBiase and his World Title and you have some of the best women’s wrestlers in the world beating the crap out of each other night in and night out… for what!?!”
Hosaka: “That’s it right there. What’ll it be?”
Marquez: “You ladies are absolutely correct. We do need a women’s title. We have some great talent here in LCW and you’re all deserving of a shot at history. Let me iron out the details and we will get this going.”
Bruiser Brody vs. Shynron & Samuray del Sol – Bruiser Brody bowls through Shynron. A JUMPING KNEE DROP puts him down and Brody gets the win despite Samuray del Sol kicking at him to try to break up the pin.
A camera follows the Road Warriors and Paul Ellering down the hall backstage. They get to Dave Marquez’s door. Ellering knocks on the door and Animal kicks the door in, splintering the door from the hinges. The Valiants and the Rock n Roll Express are already inside talking with Marquez.
Marquez: “Nice of you gentlemen to join us. I assume you are here to talk about the addition of tag team titles to Legends Championship Wrestling?”
Ellering: “That’s right! Tolstoy once said, ‘The two most powerful warriors are patience and time.’ Well he never met Hawk and Animal! And I’ll do you a favor Mr. Marquez, you can place the tag titles squarely around the waists of these two warriors right here because that’s where they are going to end up anyway. And once there, there ain’t no one who’s going to take them.”
Marquez: “The Road Warriors are always a top team wherever they go. We’ll never just hand over championships though. Championships need to be earned in LCW.”
Hawk: “We got no problem earning titles, Dave! We’ll earn them right now!”
Animal: “We’ll kick some Rock and Roll and Valiant butt right here, right now!”
Marquez: “That won’t be necessary. I’ll figure out how LCW will be awarding our inaugural tag team titles here soon. Paul, I expect you will have someone repair my door before Thursday. Now, if you’ll all excuse me, I need to get back to work.”
Malia Hosaka & Nora Greenwald vs. Madison Rayne & Jazz – Nora Greenwald is visibly skittish to enter the ring after her encounters with Courtney Rush. Every time one of the competitors comes near her, she cowers. When Malia Hosaka reaches for the tag, she pulls away. Madison Rayne and Jazz use this to their advantage and double team Hosaka for the entirety of the match. Madison Rayne takes the victory with a RAYNE CHECK. Nora apologizes to Malia after the match and the two hug.
Dave Marquez is shown walking down the hallway and as he turns the corner to walk into his office his mouth drops open. His office is filled with super cruiserweights. Shynron is doing a weird handstand. Reckless Youth and Jody Fleisch are in opposite corners staring daggers at each other. Petey Williams is doing resistance band curls. Samuray del Sol, Chris Candido, Johnny Saint, Matt Sydal, TJ Perkins and more were talking all at once.
Marquez: “Oh come on!!! You’ve got to be kidding me. How’s a guy supposed to get any work done around here… I get it! Super Cruiserweight Title… I’ll work on it… now get heck out of my office!”
DDP vs. Butcher Vachon – An early DIAMOND CUTTER from DDP fails to get him the quick victory but he’s later able to reverse a charging Butcher into another DIAMOND CUTTER for the win.
Dave Marquez makes his way to the ring for a big announcement:
“I have a lot to cover here and just a few minutes left of the show so I’m going to fly right through them. Jim Duggan, we will NOT be creating a US title. We will, however create an LCW TV title. The TV title will be defended at least once per week on an LCW television show. If it is not defended at least once per week, the title holder will be stripped and a new champion will be crowned. We will be holding a 30-man battle royal to crown the inaugural LCW TV champ this Thursday night on Thunderstrike. Our next pay per view will be called Best of the Super Cruisers on March 17. The event will feature a one night 16-man to crown our first ever LCW Super Cruiserweight champion. This will be an annual tournament for our Super Cruiserweight division. Best of the Super Cruisers will feature members of LCW’s Super Cruiserweight division as well as some international talent brought in for this event. Lastly, April’s PPV will be Spring Breakout and will feature the crowning of our first women’s champ and our first LCW tag team champions. 16 women and 16 tag teams will battle it out in tournaments starting next week as we progress toward that event. We will announce the wrestlers participating in each tournament in the days ahead. For now, we will see you all on Thursday night for the crowning of the LCW Television Champion!”
