Hey,
I was wondering if you guys ever get stuck not knowing what to do next? I just rolled a show and now I don't know where to go from here.
Any advice?
Luckily for me, I don't really have to worry about that too much. I usually do monthly event PPV's so during the months leading up to or after I make matches based around what will be featured on the card, or settling feuds stemmed from the last card. My Super Cards are loosely spread like this:
Yearly Super Cards by Month -
01: Royal Battle
02: Galaxian War
03: Tonight’s Matchup
04: GalactiMania
05: (Game Set Year Name PPV)
06: King of the Galaxy
07: Galactic Eliminator
08: Summer Slamberie (Solar Slam)
09: Super Tag Battle
10: Iron Man Tournament
11: Mega Tournament (Ultra Tournament)
12: War of the Belts
My advice to you is to create an event to get fans (and yourself) into the product and the matches so that they (and you) want more! Also some things to consider to help you if you don't want to create an event for you to work up to the next PPV/Super Card, so that you can get into action and start planning your next card regardless:
- Where there any standout matches last card? Perhaps someone (or even the fans) wants a rematch.
- Who are the number one contenders for the belts? If you don't have any, maybe you need to find a way to establish them.
- Did something shocking or unexpected happen last card? Did someone lose who wasn’t supposed to? Did someone cost someone a match? Did the dice roll poorly a time or two costing someone big time? Well usually when something unexpected happens people want revenge.
- Is there a “Commissioner” around? Some sets and years have a Commissioner or another authority figure hanging around. Don’t just let him stand there and be useless, maybe roll on his card for a special match or something and think to yourself who might be involved in such a match and book it?
- Create a new title, award or prize cup, ect. Something that can give someone bragging rights is always good. And setting up a tournament around it can give you plenty of matches.
- Open up your next show with a “Battle Royal” or a “Royal Battle.” That should shake things up and create new feuds or interesting matches surrounding it.
- Did someone get D.Q.ed last card? I bet the fans want to see something happen cleanly between those involved in the match.
- Something else I do is physically go through my wrestler playing cards and separate them into piles. I put all of the champions (and number one contenders if I have any currently) aside into a single pile. Then sort wrestlers into their own piles based on teams or stables. I physically go through and see each guy, and sometimes while looking at them I think who would have a "Good match" against who and start booking them that way. Once I book them in a match I set them aside in another pile and slowly go down the roster, until I book everyone in a match.
These ideas can give you a start, and maybe even some ideas or storylines to work with. I think it’s best to have storylines to work with and around, because they themselves can help you book the next card/feud pretty much in itself.
Anyways good luck and get back to me with what you wound up doing.

PS: What year are you currently on? And if all of what I typed that still didn't help you out... post the results of the show and maybe I can look at the matches and help you set something up.
