I have a "Between Matches" chart that gives scenarios for backstage segments, interviews, etc. This helps get some new angles going. PM me your e-mail address if you want a copy.

I usually try to line up stuff storyline wise I'd like to get to. Maybe an event, maybe a debut, or big match. Sometimes all 3, to be honest. Then I let other events leading up or surrounding them develop organically. And if all else fails to ignite anything, a good league run always works. Gets some people some good matches that you can develop from.

It's basically to help generate ideas for random events during a card that can then turn into a storyline or series of matches. For example, Mythic led me to the formation of the new Heenan Family in my latest fed. I use it constantly. Just to be clear... this is a general roleplaying game type of randomizer, correct? Just works well with CotG? I like the idea, but don't want to grab the wrong thing, lol |

Yep. That's exactly what it is. Basically it a series of prompts to help you create situations you may not have thought of before. For example, It said something about "setting plans" or something like that. That led me to Barry Windham, Ted Dibiase and Steve Williams conspiring together, which led to Bobby Heenan managing all three of them, which led to Bobby needing a 4th member to go after the World title, which is leading to a series of matches between Champ Buddy Rogers and Nick Bockwinkel.

If all else fails, rent about two dozen monkeys for a few days and lock them in a room with some typewriters. That is something WWE has done on a couple occasions. You could also hire Vince Russo as I'm sure he could use the work. Just don't expect as good results from him as the room of monkeys will deliver.

There was a point that I stopped playing the game for 11 years because I couldn't figure out what to do next. It was awkward getting back in, but I had some story ideas and just made matches, letting the dice fall where they may...

If you’ve got the 80’s Mania app it has a very tight booking schedule anybody could follow using their fed. Certain titles are defended in order and X amount of cards occur between super cards. There are also several super card themes. Very cool schedule I’d like to try using in my own GWF.
