Wow, after going up 2-0 the Nationals proceeded to lose the next 3 World Series games all of which were home games. The only way the Nationals can win the World Series now is if it turns out no team for the entire series managed to win a home game (home teams are 0-5 with the remainder of the series being played in Houston.) EDIT: Because I’m an idiot. 🙂

Yeah, the World Series is a 2-3-2 format meaning both Tuesday's Game 6 and (if necessary) Game 7 are in Houston.

Once again, for the 6th straight game- a record for any 7 game series in any of the major pro sports, the home team loses and the series is now tied 3-3 with Game 7 in Houston on Wednesday night. I will have to laugh if Washington wins and the two home teams ended up going 0-7 in the World Series.

this has been one crazy series. Cheering for the Nats here....let's go and give Washington something to celebrate.

and in one of the most improbable World Series victories ever, the Nationals won 5 elimination games to take the title and four victories on the road.

I've said it before and I will say it again. When they make the DVD of this WS they need, NEED, to use Willie Nelson's "On the Road Again" as the theme.

Congrats to the Nats--and St. Louis native Max Scherzer--on their first championship!
