7/3/76 DeimosTrotarus def. Vortex (Mensan Lock) non-title Match Mimic def. Screw (Fisherman's Suplex) Mimic tried and failed to use Screw's signature power moves, much to the amusement of the crowd, but it was quickly clear his antics were simply a distraction. He quickly changed style to his more usual moveset and Screw was unable to keep up. Huge win! Ricken Prince def. Cosmos (Bow to the Prince) POW Rules Match Santon def. Morpheus** (Spike Piledriver) [i[It's not totally clear why this match was booked... was Morpheus punishing himself for his actions? Is Santon defending Omega? Santon, as usual, was silent on the matter [/i] Tag Team Title Match Sam/Keller***** def. Paladin Power** (Heart Punch) The champs were able to gather up their momentum a few times, but twice Solar Flare missed the Paladin Missile to shift the momentum back to the challengers. Moonstrike was nearly knocked cold by Keller, while Sam was attempting to pin Solar Flare, then finished the deal with a heart punch to win the titles! Promoter Note: I very vividly remember the two big matches on this card.. Sam and Keller winning the title and Mimic beating Screw, but I have no idea what this was such a small card and had no comments... maybe I was emotionally drained fromt he Mimic win? I suspect it was more like I wanted to make sure the card fit on the bottom of the page in the results notebook under the rankings. Of such things are legends made .

7/16/76 Neptune
Rama* def. Torpor* (Back Elbow off Turnbuckle) Torpor continues to struggle, this time being defeated by the young tag specialist.
Santon def. Commander Sam* (Spike Piledriver) Sam was sporting a new look and gear, but it didn't help him slow down the vicious offense of the loner
Tano* def. Cosmos* (Deimos Driver) Cosmos takes a step back after his great perfomance against Omega... perhaps he took Tano too lightly?
Blood*** def. Ricken Prince* (Scar Tissuex2) fighting his old rival seems to fire up the Prince a bit, but he was still unable to string any offense together to mount a consistent attack
Paladin Power def. Cross Currents (Paladin Drop) Easy win as the former champs make sure they are in line for a rematch
KO Keller*** def. Torin Caelum* (Ten Count) Caelum seems to have the match one, as Keller was a bit out of sorts.. Caelum hit the referee with a missile dropkick by mistake, and he hadn't yet recovered to see Keller tap out to Caelum's Grip. While Caelum made sure the referee was ok, Keller recovered and delivered the Ten Count to get the victory.
GWF Title Match Mimic def. Screw* by DQ Mimic surprised the champ early by forgoing his usual shenanigans and going straight for the Sleeper.. Screw looked to be in trouble, but was able to grab the title belt (which was still sitting in the corner after Mimic's quick attack) and blasted him with it to break the hold and cause the DQ.

Go Mimic....sure it was DQ but always fun seeing him win against the champ.

Mimic had a good run for me overall... He has the sort of card where he isn't a main eventer, but if he gets lucky he can beat anyone.
8/1/76 Deimos
Omega came out to start the card, favoring his injured knee slightly. He announced he would be back when the GWF tour visited Cetus later this month. He asked Morpheus to come out, and shook his hand. 'No hard feelings, my friend.. just like there won't be after I beat you in the main event on Cetus'. Morpheus, a little tenative, smiled and took Omega's hand, before the two went to the back together.
Trotarus def. Torpor (Mensan Lock) Torpor seems to not be able to improve, while the rest of the wrestlers pass him by
Cosmos** def. Ricken Prince (DQ on Bow to the Prince) Not the way Cosmos wanted to get back in the win column, as the Prince pummelled him, looking more like his old self, before getting caught making him bow.
Morpheus def. Blood (Trip to Hades x2) No contest.. Morpheus was in top form and seems ready to face off again against Omega
Wind Riders def. Cross Currents (Flashing Daggers) easy win for the young hometown team. After the match, the Cordsar was on hand to clap at the Cross Currents 'performance'
Torin Caelum* def. Santon* (Caelum's Grip)
GWF Tag Team Title Match Paladin Power*[/font] def. Sam/Keller*** (Paladin Drop) The Titans regain 'their' title in a good back and forth contest. Sam and Keller were a bit exposed here as two singles wrestlers that work together, rather than a solid unit like the Titans and some of the other tag team specialists. Each indivually was able to get some momentum, but never kept it going for long

8/18/76 Cetus
Solar Flare def. Trotarus**** (Shoulder Breaker) slow, one sided match
Santon* def. KO Keller (Spike Piledriver) Impressive win over the former champ for Santon... very quick.
Cosmos***** def. Ricken Prince (DQ) Cosmos told the crowd before the match he would NOT Bow to the Prince again, and, true to his word, shrugged off the low blow, though it looked like doing so took a toll. The action went outside the ring, and the Prince, determined to cow the youngster, delivered a low blow with a steel chair, causing the DQ... Cosmos still did not bow, though, but rather crumpled to the floor instead. He refused the assistance of medical personnel to walk (gingerly) to the back, hand raised in victory.
Moonstrike def. Commander Sam** (Superkick) Another long match without alot of action, but the Titan again prevailed
Torin Caelum/Torpor def. Wind Riders** (abdominal Stretch) Torpor seemed re-energized by having the new partner, and was impressive in the win here.
Omega* def. Morpheus** (DQ) The crowd was definitely disappointed at the result here, as the match was just shaping up to be a great one when Omega fell to the floor after a big clothesline. Morpheus moved the referee out of his way to pursue his advantage and the bell was called for
GWF Title Match
Screw def. Mimic* IFreaking Face Slam) Mimic's run came to a crashing halt here.. the champ squashed him completely

Yeah, I was thinking I wanted to emphasize the 'no heroes villains' aspect of the early GWF... Caelum needed a partner, and I thought maybe that Torpor's last chance at glory . Deimos 9/1/76Non-Title Match Screw def. Moonstrike (DQ) Not really much of a match, turned out Screw wanted to brawl, and Moonstrike obliged Santon* def. Blood* (Spike Piledriver) Santon dominated from the opening bell Wind Riders def. Cross Currents*** (DQ) The match was a good back and forth contest when Cordsar grabbed Rama to cause the DQ, then, after the Cross Currents intervened, blasted each of them with brass knuckles while Trotarus kept the Wind Riders occupiedThe Cross Currents were furious at the Mesnans after the match, and promised revenge.. Cordsar was offended, and wonder what the problem was. He showed a montage of his return and rehab, and promised payback in a proper match was comingMimic def. Trotarus (Mime Nerve Sleeper) Sam/Keller def. Caelum/Torpor (Sam's Atomic Drop) quick match.. Torpor never got out of the ring POW Rules matchRicken Prince def. Cosmos*** (Samoan Drop) The Prince was dominant.. Cosmos was never able to mount any offense. The Prince even added insult by keeping the match completely legal and simply outwrestling him Omega** def. Morpheus* (Tomahawk Thrust) Short, intense match... Morpheus dropped like a stone when Omega hit the Tomahawk Thrust to end the match. Once he came to, Morpheus was in a rage, and chop blocked Omega as he was heading to the back, then wrapped Omega's knee in a steel chair to make sure damage was done. He seemed to come back to himself when KO Keller and Paladin Power came to help Omega to the back

Albiero 9/20/76
Tano def. Mimic* (Spinning DDT) Big Upset as the unpredictable Mimic was listless and uninterested in the match
Torin Caelum* def. Rama* (Caelum's Grip) Better match than expected, as Rama looked stronger than expected for a tag specialist, but Caelum isn't a former champion for nothing
Morpheus came out to boos, but offered no apologies for his actions. He said that when you compete at the highest level like in the GWF, you should expect people to be intense, and sometimes you get hurt. If Omega can't take it, perhaps he should retire to the front office.
Morpheus def. Cosmos* (Trip to Hades) Morpheus didn't really appreciate the fan reaction, and took it out on the rookie. Cosmos hung on as long as he could, but ended up as many of Morpheus' matches do
Cross Currents* def. Mensans* (Count out) Cordsar's return to the ring was not a happy one. He was pummelled by their rivals and uncerimoniously dumped him out of the ring, where he was unable to get back in.
Blood def. Ricken Prince (DQ) The home town crowd was fired up to see Blood take on his rival... the action was worthy of the old POW days, but the referee let things go... until the Prince made Blood bow. The crowd wanted revenge, but the Prince retreated with the moral victory before Blood recovered
Tag Team Title Match Paladin Power** def. Sam/Keller** (Paladin Missile) A match of huge swings back and forth.. the champs were off to a great start, but the Keller turned the tide. Moonstrike nearly fell to the Ten Count. but after Solar Flare made the save. He got the hot tag in and was able to land a perfect Paladin Missile to save the titles
GWF Title Match Screw** def. Santon ***** (Middle Rope Clothesline) Great Match! Santon did a great job countering the champ's offense, but wasn't really able to string much of his own together. The big man wore him down and eventually got the hard fought victory.

Screw vs Santon definitely is a fun match. Nice to see Caelum rebounding.
