That can destroy anyone. Had that happen to me in one of the tournaments I was running. Every roll for one guy was high when it would hurt and low when it hurt. The dice control the game, we just manage the booking.

Like I stated in a thread I just started in the discussion area, it's given me some ideas, too.
Not the least of which is an excuse to bring in The Baron!

Hey ajcostello! It's awesome to see The CWF rockin & rollin. I'm as much a fan of what happens in you're fed, as I am in how it's structured and posted. Great in the ring action and superb commentary and promos. I know what you mean when it comes to unexpected results (& the need to alter booking plans). I think TTX said it best above in so far as the key relationship between the dice & booking. Was pulling for A.J. to retain but "on any given night", (as opposed to Sunday), anything is possible. Trish is just pacing herself... Fantastic my friend!

(As always, Bri, you seem to be the CWF's biggest fan! Thanks to everyone for reading and for any comments!) Continental Wrestling Federation presents Coming Attractions/ Promo Corner! We open with "The Franchise" Shane Douglas... the newly-crowned CWF East Coast Champion... standing with "The Head Cheerleader" Francine before the Continental Wrestling Federation's logo. He smiles like the cat that ate the canary as Francine looks to be polishing one of the gold plates on the title belt slung over his shoulder. "Continental Wrestling Federation! I know it must have come as quite a shock to many of you out there when I defeated... no... scratch that... when I destroyed AJ Styles for this championship belt, but... I told you it was coming. Didn't I, Francine?" She nods at the man, still smiling. "I've been looking forward to this moment for a long time. I've looked forward to being the East Coast Champion for quite some time and now that I have it? I won't be giving it back! Bet on that, CWF fans. The Year of the Franchise has just begun!" Shane and Francine laugh as the camera fades out. *** Once again, we open on the four men... and one woman... who comprise B.A.D. Company: "Million Dollar Man" Ted DiBiase, his bodyguard Virgil, CWF TV Champion Tully Blanchard, his manager J.J. Dillon, and his daughter "The Prodigy" Tessa Blanchard... all standing in front of the CWF logo. They're in the middle of a discussion it seems before the chatter stops and they address the audience. DiBiase smiles his evil smile at the camera and laughs. DiBiase: "It's all coming together and there is nothing... not a damn thing... that any of you can do to stop us from achieving our goals! My esteemed colleague Mister Blanchard already has the Continental Wrestling Federation's TV title. It's only a matter of time before "The Prodigy" captures the Women's title. And... think of it... you're going to get to see me... the Million Dollar Man... in action against the CWF World Heavyweight champion. That's right!" He laughs his evil laugh and the rest join in, chuckling and smiling. DiBiase: "You see, we know something that you peons out there don't! And oh, my are you all going to be surprised!" He laughs again, that evil laugh. Tully Blanchard smiles and pats the championship belt slung over the shoulder of his suit jacket. Blanchard: "The idiots that run the CWF are going to be very surprised, indeed, Ted. You see, B.A.D. Company is one step ahead of everyone. No. more like three steps ahead! You see, we're always thinking ahead. We've got plans, contingency plans, and contingency plans for those plans! We're the best in the business and we're going to continue to prove it. J.J.? You had something you wanted to add?" Dillon nods. Dillon: "Thanks, champ. I think it's time that we let people know that we've been scouting out talent to see if anyone else is fit to join us and we've got our eyes on a few wrestlers. Who are they? You'll just have to wait and see!" Everybody laughs at that like it's the funniest thing ever said as we fade out. *** We're back, the scene opening on "The Killer Bae" Heather Monroe and her "Executive Assistant" Halston Boddy standing before the CWF logo, looking flashy as always. Monroe is grinning as she addresses the camera. Monroe: "Our 'great champion'... (she says making the air quotes gesture) Deonna Purrazzo... was all whiny and crying about how no one took her seriously in the tournament. She whined about how she had to fight her way through to win the prize in spite of everyone not giving her a chance and blah, blah, blah. Well, I wasn't even in the tournament and yet, here I stand, fresh off of the greatest victory the people watching Continental Wrestling Federation TV have ever seen... telling you, Deonna, that I'm coming for you next. If anyone deserves a shot at your title it's certainly me!" Halston Boddy vigorously nods in agreement. Monroe: "I know you have a little chip on your shoulder, sweetie. Believe me... I get it. But, cheer up! You're about to be sharing the ring with the greatest wrestler this place... or any place... has ever seen! When you lose... because you will lose... you can even use the excuse that you were just too dazzled by my brilliance! See you soon, champ! Keep that belt nice and shiny for me!" Monroe and Boddy pointedly ignore the camera and go back to speaking to each other in low tones as we fade out. ***

Continental Wrestling Federation: Show #5- Monday, 11 January 2016-
The show opens with a shot of CWF Women's champion Deonna Purrazzo walking down a hallway, title belt slung over her shoulder. She seems happy, as she's smiling and has a little bounce in her step. She's moving along, making her merry way to whatever it is she's looking to do when "The Prodigy" Tessa Blanchard steps out into the hallway. She's followed by another member of B.A.D. Company... Virgil.
Blanchard: "Hey there, champ. Looking forward to seeing you in action tonight. You know. For scouting purposes." Blanchard chuckles while Virgil stands stoically off to the side.
Purrazzo: "Tessa. Tessa, Tessa, Tessa... you trying to jump the line? That's so... unlike you."
The two women get nose-to-nose, mean-mugging each other. The tension in the air is thick.
Blanchard: "I'm not jumping any damned line, Deonna. Just making sure you get a good look at the woman who will be taking that belt off of you."
Purrazzo chuckles then breaks into a grin.
Purrazzo: "You think you and "Uncle Ted's Bodyguard" are going to threaten me? Take me off my game? Or maybe you want to do a little damage before you get in your shot? That it? I'm sure the championship committee wouldn't think too highly of you bringing in Virgil to do your dirty work. WE done here? I think so. Shove off."
Deonna starts walking down the hall again, making a point of shoulder-checking Tessa on her way past. We're left with Tessa and Virgil standing there, scowling.
Blanchard: "I didn't bring Virgil to protect me, Deonna. I brought him along to protect you!"
We cut from the backstage area to our hosts for the night: "Mad Mike" Cantrell and his broadcasting colleague Frankie Saddler.
Cantrell: "Hello ladies and gentlemen and welcome to yet another exciting edition of Continental Wrestling Federation's fantastic Monday night show! This, I assure you, is the best in professional wrestling today."
Saddler: "Ain't that the truth, Mike! We have quite a line-up for everybody tonight, let me tell you!"
Cantrell: "Well, with that said, I think we should get right to the action. Let's go down to the ring."
We see the lovely Miss Cindy Shepherd for the first time tonight, as she brings us the introductions of...
*Nacho Barrera vs. "Lone Wolf" Rex Havoc (w/ Jimmy Hart)*
The Mexican Legend opens up the match with a chop to Havoc's throat that's quickly followed up by a headlock. He's shoved off toward the ropes on the other side of the ring. Nacho bounces back and Havoc drops down, forcing Barrera to hop over him. As he comes off the ropes again, he's nailed with a big spinebuster. Nacho is flattened and Havoc goes for KILL PREY and the match is over almost as soon as it starts.
Winner of the Match: Rex Havoc!
Cantrell: "Well, that was quick."
Saddler: "Yeah, Mike. I think Jimmy Hart has a newcomer with quite a lot of potential here with this "Lone Wolf" guy."
Cantrell: "I'm looking forward to seeing more from him in the future. For sure."
Saddler: "You know... I think they've scraped Barrera off of the mat already and we're ready to go on to the next match, Mike."
Cantrell: "Let's do it, then!"
We're back at ringside for Miss Cindy to introduce the next match...
*The Pitbulls vs. "Mr. Electricity" Steve Regal & Al Snow (w/ Head)*
Pitbull #2 starting off against Al Snow, lunges in for a head butt with Snow countering the move with a huracanrana and a hooking clothesline. Another huracanrana sends #2 flying and Snow tags in Regal. Steve hits a Russian leg sweep and goes for a vertical suplex that gets blocked. Regal eats a gorilla press slam and Pitbull #2 tags his partner into the match. A spinebuster from #1 is followed up by Regal getting unceremoniously tossed out of the ring. Regal is a mess and just barely makes it back into the ring to avoid getting counted out, only to find Pitbull #1 waiting for him. The boys from the Back Alleys of South Philly set Regal up for a SUPER BOMB and a lateral press... but Regal kicks out with authority (Double Sixes)! Annoyed, the Pitbulls hit Regal with a Doomsday Device to the floor! Regal is in deep trouble as the Pitbulls exchange tags again. Pitbull #1 hits Steve with a running power slam and is tossed out of the ring again. Regal is staggering around at ringside for a bit when the impatient Pitbull #1 rolls out of the ring and grabs a steel chair from the official timekeeper. The ref tries to stop him from using it to no avail. Regal gets waffled by the chair shot and the referee calls for the bell, officially disqualifying the Pitbulls!
Winners of the Match (by DQ): Steve Regal & Al Snow!
Cantrell: "Well, Frankie... that was... something?"
Saddler: "Haha! Right? Regal wins another one without actually beating his opponent! This guy is either really lucky or he's in for one Hell of a loss when karma catches up to him. And I gotta tell you, my friend, I'm kind of looking forward to seeing that match!"
Cantrell: "That's almost cruel, partner."
Saddler: "Almost. Yeah."
Cantrell: "Let's get back to the action, alright?"
We return, once again, to ringside for the next match...
*"Bruiserweight" Pete Dunne vs. Mil Muertes (w/ Karlee Perez)*
The two men lock up and Dunne goes in to bite the masked man but is treated to a power slam for his trouble. Muertes hits him with Reaper's Trident and another power slam. Dunne is tossed into the ropes and Muertes drops down as he rebounds and comes back again, only to run into a running back elbow. Yet another power slam puts Dunne down but he rolls out of the ring to catch his breath. Mil Muertes follows him out and the two men tear into each other with abandon. The referee tries to get in between the two but can't regain anything resembling any kind of control and both men are disqualified!
Winner of the Match: Double Disqualification!
Cantrell: "What... the... Hell! We've had two matches in a row end with disqualifications?!? I'm... not really happy about this, Frankie."
Saddler: "Well, Mike, I know something that will cheer you up some."
Cantrell: "Is it time for-"
Saddler: "That's right, Mike! It's time for Amy Lee's Interview Corner!"
Cantrell: "Let's head to the back, then!"
We soon go backstage to join Amy Lee at the interview stage.
Amy Lee: "Hey, guys! So my guest this week is none other than The Man That Made Milwaukee Famous... The Crusher!"
Crusher: "Hey there, little lady. You care to go out to the saloon after the show? Knock back some brew? Maybe have a few brats?"
Lee: "Ah... well I didn't have any real plans..."
Crusher: "Great! I'll show ya the town!"
Lee: "Awesome. Ah, Mister Crusher... we're being joined by... ah..."
At this time, Steve Regal and his partner from earlier tonight Al Snow, join Crusher and Amy Lee. Snow is carrying Head and both men are all smiles.
Crusher: "Whadda you two bums want? Say it quick before I kick yer teeth in!"
Snow: "Well, Crusher... if that's your real name... we both know that you've got beef with the two of us so we figured we'd challenge you to find yourself a partner and face us this coming Friday!"
Regal: "Aw, come on, Al... you know this guy can't do that. That'd mean he'd have to actually have a friend, man!"
Crusher spits out his cigar and clenches his fists.
Crusher: "Why you-"
Snow: "That was mean, Steve. Honest and truthful, sure. But mean nonetheless. What about it, Crusher? You and a partner against the two of us! I remind you... we're undefeated as a tag team!"
Regal: "That's right! Undefeated, baby!"
Crusher: "Alright, then, ya rats! I got just the guy to call. You two idiots want a fight? You got one!"
Crusher glares at the interlopers for a moment before all three wrestlers go their separate ways.
Lee: "Wow. Did you guys get that? Looks like Friday night is going to be pretty exciting!"
Once again we go back to the ringside area for our next match...
*The Fantastics (Tommy Rogers & Bobby Fulton) vs. Cowboy Country (Sam Houston & Johnny Mantell)*
The match starts off with the men from the two teams shaking hands then it's down to business. Houston and Fulton start off for their teams. Sam with an arm drag and twist on Fulton takes a terrible toll on him. A running lariat puts Fulton down and he rolls out of the ring to try to get his bearings. Tommy Rogers cheers on his partner but Bobby can only get back into the ring to avoid being counted out. Houston tags in Mantell who comes in with a Texas Tumbleweed and once again, Fulton rolls out of the ring. Mantell and Fulton have an exchange on the outside that sees Mantell hit Fulton with his patented Russian Leg Sweep on the floor! Fulton is in rough shape but he makes it back into the ring to avoid getting counted out again. Mantell hits Fulton with another Texas Tumbleweed and goes for a cover. The referee jumps in to make the count is broken up as Tommy Rogers runs into the ring. Sam Houston runs in to cut him off and all four men end up in a brawl. The Cowboys come out on top and, once order is restored, Houston hits Fulton with another running lariat and goes for a lateral press, but Fulton manages to kick out before the three count! Fulton staggers back to his feet and Sam Houston hits him with his BULLDOG! A lateral press follows and Tommy Rogers tries to save his partner again, but he's cut off by Johnny Mantell. The referee counts to three and the match are over!
Winners of the Match: Houston & Mantell!
Cantrell: "Well... for a match that started off with a handshake that one was surprisingly..."
Saddler: "Ugly. The word you're looking for is 'ugly', Mike."
Cantrell: "Yeah. That sounds about right."
Saddler: "I'm curious to see what happens next with both of these teams, Frankie. I'm not sure but I wouldn't be shocked if Fulton and Rogers try to get another crack at the Cowboys."
Saddler: "Me, too, Mike."
Cantrell: "Anyway, I see we're ready for the next match."
Once again, we go to ringside for another of Miss Cindy's introductions...
*Killer Kross vs. Akuma the Ninja*
Kross throws a roundhouse kick, but Akuma ducks it and locks on a sleeper hold! Kross fights his way through it and gets to the ropes. Once the ref forces the break, Kross takes a powder and heads outside of the ring. While Akuma has a brief exchange with the ref, Kross grabs his leg, pulls him outside, and runs him headfirst into one of the steel ring posts! Both men end up back in the ring and Killer Kross hits a Burning Lariat and goes for a cover, but Akuma kicks out with authority (Double Sixes!). Kross follows up with an Alabama Slam and a powerbomb but Akuma keeps getting back to his feet. Another powerbomb and lateral press and once again Akuma kicks out well before the ref can count to three. Akuma is hit with a pair of Burning Lariats and rolls out of the ring. Staggered, Akuma climbs back into the ring to avoid a count-out loss and is met with a DOOMSDAY SAITO! Kross goes for a cover and the match ends.
Winner of the Match: Killer Kross!
Cantrell: "Well, it certainly took a lot to put that Akuma guy away, didn't it, Frankie?"
Saddler: "Yeah, Mike, but... I don't think that's a knock on Killer Kross. The dude is a bad, bad man. But Akuma must be double tough to have taken that beating for as long as he did."
Cantrell: "I'm in complete agreement with you, partner. I think Akuma is going to be somebody worth watching in the future."
Saddler: "Yeah, he is. I'm looking forward to seeing how he bounces back from this loss, Mike."
Cantrell: "So, I'm told that our Main Event for the night is actually a non-title match, with "The Gatekeeper" Kelly Klein facing CWF Women's champion Deonna Purrazzo. Should be good, eh?"
Saddler: "I think so, yeah. I wonder, though... will Klein's running buddy Madison Rayne get involved? And... if so... what happens if the Gatekeeper gets a title shot?"
Cantrell: "We'll have to see, Frankie. We'll have to see. You ready?"
For the last time tonight, we go to ringside for Miss Cindy's final introductions of the night...
*"The Gatekeeper" Kelly Klein vs. "The Virtuosa" Deonna Purrazzo (CWF Women's champion- nontitle match)*
Klein locks up with the champion with an overhead wristlock that Purrazzo counters into a Japanese arm drag. The champion mounts the turnbuckles and leaps off, hitting a perfect moonsault on Klein. Kelly chooses discretion as the better part of valor and takes a powder, rolling out of the ring. Purrazzo gives Madison Rayne a sneer and hops out of the ring to bring the fight back to Klein and the two women start throwing everything they have at each other. Klein gets the upper hand and rolls Deonna back into the ring, much to Madison Rayne's delight. Klein drives the champion into the mat with a Samoan Drop and locks on THE END OF THE MATCH! The champion struggles but Klein has the hold locked on tight and Purrazzo goes limp, giving the win... and a title shot... to Kelly Klein! This one is over!
Winner of the match: Kelly Klein!
Cantrell: "Well... that was one Hell of a victory for Klein. I mean... she's Madison Rayne's back-up but she's done what Madison herself couldn't!"
Saddler: "Craziness, Mike! There are so many impressive ladies here in the Continental Wrestling Federation that it's going to be incredible to watch Deonna fight them all off. Let's see how long she can hold onto that shiny, gold belt, Mike. She's a fighting champion but... she's got a big target on her back!"
Cantrell: "Any more cliches to throw at us, Frankie?"
Saddler: "Nah. I'm done."
We end the show with Klein and Rayne celebrating in the ring.
*The End*

Continental Wrestling Federation presents Coming Attractions/ Promo Corner!
We open up with Jimmy Hart's "First Family" all gathered together in front of the CWF logo.
Jimmy Hart: "Listen up, baby! What you see here could very well be the most dominant group in the history of the Continental Wrestling Federation! I've got The Mounties... Jacques and Pierre... I've got "Lone Wolf" Rex Havoc, too! Have you seen these men in action, yet? No one has been able to defeat any of these men yet! It's only a matter of time before we're holding the gold, baby! Only a matter of time! Why don't ya tell 'em a little something, Jacques?"
Jacques Rougeau: "Thank you, Jimmy. You see, Jimmy Hart was the first... and only... man that we wanted to manage us! We are the greatest team in this stinking American Federation and we will prove it to you all soon enough! As soon as the biased championship committee realizes that they can no longer hold us back! We are coming for you, Road Warriors!"
Hart: "That's right, baby! We're being overlooked! On purpose! Well, you've seen what we can do! This team will beat every single other team in this promotion if that's what we have to do to get our rightful shot at the tag team titles, baby! Why don't you tell 'em how ya feel, Rex, my main man?"
Rex Havoc: "That was a warm-up on Monday night. One down. Many more to come. Watch me."
Jimmy Hart and his crew laugh as the camera fades out.
***
We open on The Crusher standing before the CWF logo, chomping down on his cigar.
Crusher: "Al Snow. Steve Regal. Ya bums have some nerve, let me tell ya! Ya come out here and heap insults on the Crusher and act like it wasn't just dumb luck that got you the wins that yer braggin' about! Ya challenge me to find a partner to help me kick yer asses come Friday? Well, I got just the fella! ME an' him have had plenty of wars all over the wrestling world, let me tell ya! I know exactly how rough and tough this son of a gun is and he's way tougher than either of youse two bums! So, let me introduce you to my new partner... a man I know will teach you two punks a lesson you'll never forget... a guy I like to call... The Baron!"
Baron Von Rashke enters the scene and the two men shake hands.
Von Rashke: "Crusher! You and I have history. We've fought each other and we've fought alongside each other! And let me tell the people: these two punks Snow and Regal they don't show anybody any respect and if there's one thing I hate... it's snot-nosed punks acting bigger than their britches! You need to be taught a lesson in respect! Your teacher will be... The Claw!"
Baron Von Rashke holds up his hand, open for the dreaded claw hold.
Von Rashke: "You need to learn manners and respect, Snow! You, too, Regal! This Friday class will be in session! And that's all the people need to know!"
We fade out as Von Rashke and Crusher mean mug for the camera.
***
Finally, we open up on Madison Rayne and her enforcer, "The Gatekeeper" Kelly Klein, standing before the CWF logo.
Madison Rayne: "I can't even begin to tell you all how... how... satisfying... it was to watch Kelly choke that obnoxious twit of a champion Deonna Purrazzo into unconsciousness! Oh, Gawd! It was absolutely delicious! See, Deonna... you can be beaten! Kelly is going to kick your tail again, champ! And when she has... and taken that title belt off of you... she's going to give me the first title shot!"
Kelly Klein's brow furrows.
Klein: "I am?"
Rayne: "Well, yeah! We talked about this...."
Klein: "We did? When? I don't remember any of this...."
Rayne: "We totally did! It was the other day at lunch! After we were done in the gym!"
Klein: "Still don't remember that, Madi."
Rayne: "What?!? WE've been over this a thousand times!"
We fade away as the two women seem to be bickering.
