Haven't seen the full show yet but Cody/Jericho was an absolute banger. Ortiz and Santana vs. the Bucks was great as well and the women's title match was fantastic.
Moxley/Omega, from what I've seen of it and I will be watching the full thing when I get home, was not nearly brutal enough to warrant the amount of people shitting themselves over that match. Literally any GCW or Big Japan or FREEDOMS deathmatch goes WAY further---and doesn't go 38:00. I am looking forward to seeing it, regardless of the ridiculous outcry, because some of the clips I saw were wild.

I don't get AEW at all and am not surprised to already see them hovering around 800k fans. Cody is no face. He's a heel in every way. And heel MJF turned heel? I thought Moxley was supposed to be this big draw?

Good show. Not my favorite of their PPVs, but solid throughout. Think it’s weird that people think Mox v Omega was so violent. Seemed incredibly tame compared to any hardcore match I’ve seen in CZW (or similar feds). People have become such babies. Listening to Meltzer say if was worse than the Old Japanese Hardcore Matches or US Indy ones is nuts. Mance had his tongue stapled to a board. Weed whackers. Raven-Dreamer cheese grader. Rings filled w light tubes. Guys leaking like faucets. It’s funny that the “old-timers” think that there’s no psychology in a Young Buck match. The Rock n Roll Destroyer was pretty cool. Was surprised at the “ending” of the Cody match, was waiting for the turn afterwards tho. Wednesday should be one of the better shows w lots of things to address.

I watched Mox vs. Omega. That was the most insane match I've ever watched. 46 minutes long and felt just like a CZW match! I think the casual wrestling fan who just watches not knowing what to expect would be scarred for life!? I have mixed feelings about it.

I think the casual wrestling fan who just watches not knowing what to expect would be scarred for life!? I have mixed feelings about it. They didn't go 46. They went like 38 or something and honestly that match was like a preschool version of CZW. I could probably link you to any number of undercard Freedoms or GCW or Big Japan matches from this year and all were worse than that, I assure you. You're right about the casuals who didn't know what they'd be getting into, though. Some fans acted like that match was a snuff film and it really, really wasn't that bad. It seemed to scare AEW straight on doing them for a while, though. Curious as to how AEW handles doing their War Games match if people thought this was too violent.
