...that Samuray del Sol artwork has got to be my favorite of Werner's to date. So smooth.
Anyways, 2 questions.
1) What's your favorite color card art released thus far (Legends/Indy)? and 2) Does card art influence your decision to use or not use a particular wrestler?
Just curious

Thunder Rose is some really nice art but I think Melina wins for my favorite Legends/Indy art Art doesn't influence anything, whether I like the person might.

Thunder Rosa’s card art is awesome. I remember suggesting the photo reference for it and the card art was really popular at Expo Lucha last year among the wrestlers I showed it too. I think I got a couple of signings that weekend just from that card art.

Interesting question... I think generally I would NOT be persuaded to use or not use someone based on their art. I am generally using someone because their gimmick or card placement fits what I need. That said, there is a chance that some good art could get me to give someone a chance whom I'm not familiar with.
As for some of my favorite art in the game... I tend to be drawn to the art that REALLY looks like the wrestler it is supposed to represent. Harley Race & Lou Thesz are really solid but maybe a little boring. I had to go back and look through a number of sets and I can't say that a single card art REALLY stands out to me as a favorite.
Back in the B&W days the Iron Sheik card really stood out to me as a favorite though. I loved the fine linework and crosshatching that gave that black and white artwork such a realistic look. I think there was one other early-ish B&W card that was initially a big favorite but I can't seem to think of it at the moment...
