Hello all! This is me first foray into a cotg fed. Please forgive any redundancies with the upcoming wrestlers bios. It's just my way of bonding / and Crossbones - ing with these wrestlers. This fed is GWF canon - ish, my interpretation of the early days. Up next is a quasi formal intro. Hope all is good by youse! Bri

------------------------------------------------------------------------------ ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ The Galaxian Federation (Keep To The Code): ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ ------------------------------------------------------------------------------
▪ The Galaxian Code is still in place.
▪ Cards are held predominantly at Deimos Intergalactic Arena.
▪ Our referee for all matches is recently retired wrestler Torin Caelum.
▪ Our timekeeper is also a recently retired wrestler, K.O. Keller.
▪ The current Galaxian Federation Champion - Morpheus has decided to go out on top and retire - with his undefeated and sole title reign intact. The longest title reign to date - a version 12
▪ Morpheus has just been appointed by the owners, (Galactic Champions Incorporated) as the new commissioner of The Galaxian Federation.
▪ In response to this - an 8 man single night tournament is being held to determine who shall claim his vacated Galaxian Federation Championship title.
▪ The eight wrestlers who will be competing are:
1. Invincible Kraken: ----------------------------------------- A former soldier from CTA-102 who absolutely hates the Galactic Code and everything it stands for to his very core. But the only thing he hates even more than the code is Lord Nexus, whom had testified against him for past war crimes that led Kraken to a lengthy prison term.
2. Massif: ----------------------- A powerlifter discovered by Star Warrior who was signed to The Galaxian Federation by Star Warrior's father Omega. Good natured, amazingly strong and because of this signing, is extremly grateful and devoted to Star Warrior and his father.
3. Cosmos: ------------------------- A very talented and ambitious wrestler who is also the tag team partner of Star Warrior and was trained by Omega. With Star Warrior they form the most dazzling tag team in The Galaxian Federation; however he does not receive the same adulation and notoriety that Star Warrior does - and he secretly has a real serious problem with this.
4. Renegade: ---------------------------- An aptly named wrestler who is quite prone to frenzying during his matches. He also currently tag teams with a wrestler whom he considers his best friend, Natural Man, to form a Neptunian Space Cropper tag team called Beauty and The Beast to which Renegade of course represents the latter.
5. Lord Nexus: ------------------------------ The informal and or unofficial leader of the contingent of wrestlers that are signed to The Galaxian Federation from Titan. He assisted with the signing of fellow Titan wrestlers Pulsar and Dragonmaster - Lord Nexus represents and upholds the standards of fair play and especially - accountability.
6. Star Warrior: -------------------------------- The most popular wrestler in The Galaxian Federation by far and one half of what is considered to be the best tag team there is. His modesty and humility are what often endure him to the fans - he is also a great friend of Cosmos, whom he considers to be his blood brother.
7. Commander Sam: ----------------------------------------- A cantankerous fan favorite and close friend to Omega and his son Star Warrior. Sam has often warned Star Warrior without much success in the past that he (Sam) has never really been able to completely trust Star Warriors tag partner Cosmos, for some reason.
8. Omega: ------------------------ The living legend and former multi-time Galaxian Champion whom along with Morpheus started The Galaxian Federation. Despite recent criticism that his ring skills have declined and has not held the title for quite some time, he still claims that he isn't done yet and his effect and influence over not only the active wrestlers but also the owners is still undeniable.
First Round Matchups: -------------------------------------------------
1. Renegade vs Omega
2. Lord Nexus vs Cosmos
3. Commander Sam vs Massif
4. Invincible Kraken vs Star Warrior
Thanks all!

Oh man Bri, your going to have so much fun with the GWF Looking forward to the tournament and your write-ups! Hey victoryroll84! I know what you mean already, the tournament was a lot of fun. Going to be posting that puppy in a few. This is something that I've wanted to attempt for a long time now - once I got the reimagined original 24 from 2087 - a bunch of ideas hit me as I absorbed the artwork. Not to mention what Swarm and Werner have been doing with the reimagined 2088 & 2089. Mind you I'm really a purist at heart, but these new takes are unbelievable imo. Should be posting the tournament results at some point this morn. Thanks again amigo!

Really outstanding work here. My pick to win that fun little tournament is Commander Sam.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------ ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ The Galaxian Federation (Keep To The Code): ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ ------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Card - 1 Deimos Intergalactic Arena
1. Renegade vs Omega:
Omega defeats Renegade via Disqualification. Renegade was disqualified for Cropper Slamming Omega Through A Ringside Table at the 3:00 minute mark.
▪ Omega's sheer unwillingness to back down against Renegade quickly pushed the wildman over the edge - and Renegade completely buried Omega through a ringside table, despite the referee's warnings.
2. Lord Nexus vs Cosmos:
Cosmos defeated Lord Nexus via Pinfall. Cosmos pinned Nexus after Brutally Choking Him Against The Ropes at the 18:00 minute mark.
▪ Many in attendance were disturbed at just how so uncharacteristically and suprisingly viscious and cruel Cosmos was in this match, not only by his offense, but in his unnecessarily prolonging of the obvious agony Lord Nexus was in.
3. Commander Sam vs Massif:
Commander Sam defeated Massif via Pinfall. Sam pinned Massif after finally being able to execute his SAM'S ATOMIC DROP finisher at the 27:30 minute mark.
▪ An extremely competitive bout that was fought at times even with great violent humor - more like a match fought between two close, competitive and tough brothers - Massif himself raised Commander Sam's arm in victory at the end, hurting both of them in the process and brought out even more laughs across the arena.
4. Invincible Kraken vs Star Warrior:
Star Warrior defeated Invincible Kraken via Pinfall. Warrior pinned Kraken after a dramatic come from behind Running Star Blast that electrified the crowd at the 9:00 minute mark.
▪ A match that was predominantly Invincible Kraken's; from his opening pre-bell ambush from behind until Star Warrior reversed a Kraken turnbuckle whip and turned it into a powerful retaliatory offense - Cosmos watched Star Warrior's comback from the gorilla position with a look of utter distain on his face.
5. Cosmos vs Commander Sam:
Commander Sam defeated Cosmos via Pinfall. Sam pinned Cosmos after his second straight and desperate execution of his SAM'S ATOMIC DROP finisher at the 24:30 minute mark.
▪ A match that had a much more unexpectedly serious tone to it than when Sam wrestled Massif, complete with a strange moment where it seemed as though Cosmos was going to ambush Commander Sam post match as soon as Sam turned his back to him, which caused the crowd to anxiously hold it's breath a bit - before seeing that Cosmos had then just barely - changed his mind.
6. Star Warrior vs Omega:
Omega defeated Star Warrior via Pinfall. Omega pinned Star Warrior after a flawless execution of his TOMAHAWK THRUST primary finisher at the 15:00 minute mark.
▪ A truly crowd pleasing bout that had the same feel as the Massif / Commander Sam bout earlier in the evening, Star Warrior finally convinced his father to not hold back and he didn't; some in attendance were excited to see an Omega they haven't really seen in a bit lately - when Star Warrior was asked after the match what happened - he jokingly told the announce team that, "I made the mistake of telling Pop...that Ma said...that I'm...totally gonna win".
Intermission: ------------------------------
▪ In a backroom of the Deimos Intergalactic Arena, a man sitting in the shadows...lit his cigar...and after much thought...told Cosmos after hearing out his prolonged diatribe that, "I completely agree with you...and support this idea of yours...because I know exactly...what you're feeling...but...in order for you...to really...pull this off...what you're going to need...are reinforcements...fortunately...for us...I know a guy...who also...know's...a guy".
GALAXIAN CHAMPIONSHIP TITLE BOUT: ------------------------------------------------------------------------------
7. Commander Sam vs Omega:
Omega defeated Commander Sam via Pinfall. Omega pinned Sam after his first and only execution of his TOMAHAWK THRUST primary finisher at the 18:00 minute mark.
▪ A championship match that had everyone on their feet for the entire match. Both wrestlers put on a mesmerizing effort and shared a congratulatory hug after the contest. Chants of O MEG A...O MEG A...filled the arena because Omega of Cetus...has truly...once again...returned to form...from his commissioners box...Morpheus looked down on Omega holding The Galaxian Title... slowly folded his arms...and exhaled...
OMEGA OF CETUS BECOMES THE GALAXIAN CHAMPION !
