Week 5(PROMOTER'S NOTE: You know those weekly shows where everything seems like it's in a holding pattern but big stuff feels like it's right around the corner? This is that show.)
Night 1 - Interplanetary League
IP League: GHENGIS KHAN def. RENEGADE with the TWIN THRUST
(*½; Khan 4-1, 12 pts; Renegade 1-4, 3 pts)
Khan got a little preoccupied with some fans chanting for the Flying Titans during this opening match but kept his head in the game long enough to take down Renegade.
---
Invincible Krakan with a HoloVision message for the Flying Titans after Khan’s match: “We will be watching Pit Viper’s match with Death Knight tonight very closely.”---
IP League: MUTANT def. VANITY with a face slam
(**; Mutant 1-4, 3 pts; Vanity 2-3, 6 pts)
Mutant catches a lackadaisical Vanity off guard to pick up the first win of the season.
IP League: BEAST-RIDER def. PULSAR with a Cropper Slam
(DUD; Beast-Rider 3-2, 9 pts; Pulsar 2-3, 6 pts)
The Flying Titans off to a tough start as Pulsar loses quickly to one of the Neptunian Space-Croppers.
---
Lord Nexus, backstage with Xavier “Goody” Goodman: “I won’t make any predictions tonight. But I will be in Pit Viper’s corner, so if the Society of Death wants a war, they’ll get one.”---
IP League: KILLER QUEEN def. OMEGA with CHECKMATE
(½*; KQ 3-2, 9 pts; Omega 3-2, 9 pts)
Omega is unable to create any distance between himself and the chase pack in the Interplanetary League standings, with Killer Queen taking advantage of Omega outside the ring en route to the win.
IP League: COMMANDER SAM def. EXECUTIONER with SAM’S ATOMIC DROP
(½*; Sam 3-2, 9 pts; Executioner 3-2, 9 pts)
Executioner brandished a foreign object but Sam blocked the attempt to strike with the object, knocking it away and hitting the atomic drop for the dub.
---
After Pit Viper and Death Knight came down to the ring for the main event, Ghengis Khan and Mutant came through the entrance way but did not come down to ringside, choosing to lurk from a distance.---
IP League: PIT VIPER (w/ LORD NEXUS) def. DEATH KNIGHT with a flying knee drop
(**; Pit Viper 4-1, 12 pts; Death Knight 1-4, 3 pts)
Pit Viper was in control for most of this match, delighting the crowd with his hard-hitting offense and dropping the woeful Death Knight to join Ghengis Khan at the top of the IP League standings!
POST-MATCH, Khan and Mutant started making their move to the ring during the three count, but Lord Nexus jumped in the ring as Pit Viper got to his feet and turned and faced the Society of Death members. Khan held back Mutant before they could get into the ring, and with the sneak attack spoiled, Khan and Mutant backed away.
We fade to black on Lord Nexus and Pit Viper continuing to taunt Khan and Mutant to step in the ring as the Society of Death backs down from a fair fight.
Night 2 - Galaxy League
Galaxy League: EXO-KING def. LORD NEXUS with a flying body crusher
(***1/2, Exo-King 3-2, 9 pts; Nexus 1-4, 3 pts)
Outside of the winner and loser, this is everything the crowd wanted out of an opening match! The David vs. Goliath feel really took this one to another level, but a giant flying body crusher was finally enough to take Lord Nexus down.
Galaxy League: STAR WARRIOR def. BRUTE with the NOVA LAUNCH
(**, Star Warrior 3-1-1, 10 pts; Brute 2-3, 6 pts)
Another day in the office for Star Warrior, once again keeping a straightforward demeanor and outhustling Brute for a decisive victory without any of the usual Star Warrior flash.
POST-MATCH, Massacre appears on the HoloVision. “STAR WARRIOR! It’s you and me next week! You may have taken down Brute, but if I didn’t have my own match to prepare for, I’d be down there kicking your ass! But that will have to wait until next week. Until then, be sure you’re watching my latest victory later tonight!”
Galaxy League: ACTAGON def. COMRADE TERROR with a back leg sweep
(***, Actagon 3-2, 9 pts, Terror 2-3, 6 pts)
Pivotal Galaxy League match to push Actagon into the league’s top half. Actagon didn’t tap in the Comrade Neck Clutch, but was favoring his neck a bit after the match.
---
Commander Sam narrates a video package scored with the familiar patriotic tones of Sam’s home: “The Federation Defense Fighters are always looking for new recruits. Starting in 2088, a new soldier will be joining the fight…”
Images of a man in red-white-and-blue gear are shown, followed by clips of a devastating shoulder tackle among other hard-hitting moves, interspersed with video clips of Earth jets flying over American football stadiums, fireworks, warm apple pie…
“In 2088, I’m proud to announce the Federation Defense Fighters will be bringing in someone I know very well from my military days. Get ready for ADAM BLAST!”
ADAM BLAST - COMING SOON---
Galaxy League: THANTOS def. MASSIF with the MASTERLOCK
(**, Thantos 4-0-1, 13 pts; Massif 1-4, 3 pts)
Tougher challengers are coming forward to take on the Code-Breaker. Massif pushed Thantos by emphasizing his strength, but a missed VOLCANIC DROP opened the door for Thantos to remain undefeated as Massif was caught in the MASTERLOCK.
Galaxy League: MASSACRE def. INVINCIBLE KRAKAN with the MASSACRE SLAM
(½*, Massacre 5-0, 15 pts; Krakan 1-4, 3 pts)
While Krakan continues to be a tough customer, Massacre has everything falling his way, pounding away at Krakan and finishing it with the running power slam.
Proteus came to the ring alone, with Actagon still being checked on by doctors for the neck pain after his match with Comrade Terror. And here comes Wolf...
Galaxy League: WOLF def. PROTEUS with the SAVAGE FACE CLAW
(**, Wolf 2-3, 6 pts; Proteus 2-3, 6 pts)
Proteus caught Wolf in an early pinning predicament, but that was the extent of his offense as Wolf aggressively attacked Proteus, who prior to this season would’ve probably been considered one of Wolf’s only allies.
Wolf has changed, though, mentally broken by the Gladiators and their mind games, and when backed into a corner, Wolf now lashes out. The SAVAGE FACE CLAW was the finish to the match, but it was only the beginning.
POST-MATCH, Wolf refused to release the SAVAGE FACE CLAW as Proteus writhed on the mat in pain. Actagon came out to the ring, pushing aside doctors who were trying to get him back into the medical room, and got Wolf to release the CLAW by locking him in the GRECIAN SLEEPER GRIP! Wolf struggled at first, digging his fingers into Actagon’s arms, but Actagon had cinched it in deep and went to the ground, grapevining his legs around Wolf. By the time security got Actagon off Wolf, Wolf had lost consciousness, the crowd in stunned silence as Actagon went to tend to his tag-team partner as the show fades to black.

Official statement regarding Wolf
A GWF spokesperson read a statement from GWF officials: “We have received messages of concern from GWF fans and arena security about the recent actions of Galaxy League superstar WOLF. While some of his actions have been erratic and detrimental to the mission statement of the GWF League format, we will continue to delay any punitive action as long as Wolf continues to seek retribution within reason. The Gladiators are not blameless in this matter, and we hope Wolf can see the value of settling this with his former tag partners in the ring while not endangering GWF personnel.”
Krakan issues final warning
INVINCIBLE KRAKAN and the Society of Death have made it clear that The Flying Titans are in their crosshairs, a matter that is very personal to Krakan: “There will be no mercy shown to anyone from Titan. Next week, the Society of Death will finish what Titan started.”
In response to this warning, GWF officials have banned anyone from being at ringside during the Interplanetary League match between MUTANT and PIT VIPER. Pit Viper is currently tied with SOD member Ghengis Khan atop the IP League.
Massacre’s moment has arrived
The Gladiator from Aethra is approaching what could be his finest hour in a one-on-one match with STAR WARRIOR. Massacre’s undefeated streak is on the line, and in a cruel twist of fate, Star Warrior winning could help his former tag partner’s standing in the Galaxy League.
Week 6: What to Watch
MASSACRE takes on STAR WARRIOR; MUTANT battles PIT VIPER with tensions brewing between the Society of Death and The Flying Titans; ACTAGON battles WOLF after putting him to sleep at the end of last week’s broadcast!
