Interplanetary League - WEEK 7

An announcement played over a shot of the empty GWF ring at the beginning of the show with some of the crowd finally filing into their seats.

“Due to suspensions to GHENGIS KHAN and MUTANT, their opponents this week have received wins by forfeit! Those superstars are DEATH KNIGHT [boo] and RENEGADE [yeaaa]!”

(Death Knight 2-5, 6 pts; Renegade 3-4, 9 pts)

EXECUTIONER def. BEAST-RIDER (HANGMAN’S GUILLOTINE)

(½*; Executioner 4-2-1, 13 pts; Beast-Rider 3-4, 9 pts)

Tough loss for Beast-Rider in his hopes of chasing down a top six spot in the IP League, especially after a good start on offense before Executioner cut him off and hit the HANGMAN’S GUILLOTINE.



PULSAR is backstage with Xavier “Goody” Goodman, speaking on his matchup with PIT VIPER: “The doctors have told him that he may have some vision issues but he is otherwise cleared to wrestle. I told him that there’s no need for us to fight, that I would be willing to forfeit my match rather than wrestle someone I consider a mentor, a brother, especially in his state. But Pit Viper is a man of honor, and so I too must be willing to fight with honor tonight. We battle tonight for the sake of the lost Code.”

VANITY def. KILLER QUEEN (PULVERIZER)

(DUD; Vanity 4-3, 12 pts; KQ 4-3, 12 pts)

A bit of a surprise here, but Vanity clearly had his tag partner scouted and won in shockingly-quick fashion with the PULVERIZER!

POST-MATCH, Vanity offers his hand to Killer Queen as Queen gets to his feet, but Queen just walks past Vanity and leaves his tag partner in the ring.

COMMANDER SAM def. OMEGA (SAM’S ATOMIC DROP)

(**, Sam 5-2, 15 pts; Omega 3-3-1, 10 pts)

Nothing but respect between these two. The Code was honored from bell to bell, and the better man won as Omega’s age may be beginning to slow him down this far into the IP League season.

POST-MATCH, Sam and Omega shook hands as they did before the match and then implored THANTOS to accept STAR WARRIOR’S challenge for a COSMIC CAGE MATCH at GWF PERENNIAL!



Before the main event, Pulsar comes down to the ring and once again makes an appeal to his stable-mate that he will forfeit. Pit Viper comes down to the ring, and the crowd gasps when they see that the familiar mask is gone! In its place is a large eyepatch over the eye that Khan tried to jab out. Pulsar seems uneasy and Pit Viper asks for Pulsar’s microphone.

PV: “Pulsar, tonight we will fight to show that the Society of Death cannot win through their tactics. I come out here tonight to show all of you in the audience and those watching at their homes what the Society of Death has done to me not just in the last week, but for months, for years. But most importantly, I want to show them that my spirit --” he motions to Pulsar and then to the audience, “-- our spirits will not be broken by fear! WE WILL FIGHT!”

PIT VIPER def. PULSAR (Snake Bite)

(*½; Pulsar 2-5, 6 pts; Pit Viper 5-2, 15 pts)

Pulsar’s early dominance (Pit Viper 3 tokens) made some believe that Viper had lost his edge, that he was not truly ready to battle so soon after such a horrendous attack. But Pulsar’s youth clouded his judgment at a critical moment, giving Pit Viper the opening to turn the tables and hit the Snake Bite for the win!

POST-MATCH, the Flying Titans upheld the code, with Pulsar understanding that the mental game unraveled his physical advantage tonight. Pit Viper and Pulsar raise each others’ arms as we FADE TO BLACK.

Galaxy League - Week 7

The show opens with WOLF roaming the arena halls.

LORD NEXUS def. MASSACRE (TITAN DROP)

(DUD, Nexus 3-4, 9 pts; Massacre 5-2, 15 pts)

Another big hit to Massacre, credit the assist to WOLF who shows up ranting and raving and getting held back by security, which distracted Massacre long enough that he turned right around into a Titan Drop!

MASSIF def. ACTAGON (VOLCANIC DROP)

(****; Massif 2-5, 6 pts; Actagon 4-3, 12 pts)

Actagon was on the defensive early with Massif determined to get out of the basement of the Galaxy League standings. A sleeping giant has awoken within Massif, and despite Actagon’s best efforts to keep himself in the match (6 tokens), the VOLCANIC DROP spelled the end.



Xavier “Goody” Goodman has tracked down Wolf, asking him what he’s ranting and raving about: “I know he’s here, damnit. Where is the bastard, they showed me that stupid mug of his and told me he’d be here tonight.” No response from Wolf when Goody tried to get more out of the former Gladiator.

THANTOS def. PROTEUS (MASTERLOCK)

(***½; Thantos 6-0-1, 19 pts; Proteus 3-4, 9 pts)

Proteus definitely looked a little more like his former self in working through his injury in this match, but Thantos targeted the previously-injured leg and Proteus was easy pickings for the MASTERLOCK.

POST-MATCH, Thantos grabbed a mic: “Star Warrior! You want me in the Cosmic Cage?” The crowd roars in anticipation.

“... I’ll think about it.”

Boooooooooo.

EXO-KING def. BRUTE (DEATH VISE)

(**; Exo-King 4-3, 12 pts; Brute 2-5, 6 pts)

WOLF is back again in a wild finish, distracting the referee so that Exo-King could hit Brute with some kind of foreign object! What the hell is going on! That finally weakened Brute enough to be hoisted into the DEATH VISE, and Brute didn’t wake up until Exo-King dropped him to the mat!

Wolf is again shooed away POST-MATCH by security, and after he’s cleared away Massacre comes down to ringside, overheard telling Brute: “It’s OK, I’ve got a plan, I’ve got a plan…”

COMRADE TERROR def. STAR WARRIOR (Thantos interference)

(*; Terror 3-4, 9 pts; SW 4-2-1, 13 pts)

A true tragedy as Star Warrior’s momentum is derailed by the heinous Code-Breaker, who comes to the aid of his henchman, sliding in when Comrade Terror has the referee occupied and hitting the Satanic Skull Smasher! Terror gets the pin and now finds himself two wins behind Thantos with four matches to go.

POST-MATCH, Thantos gets on the mic again: “Alright, I’ve thought it over. And now that I’ve outsmarted you, AGAIN. You know what? I ACCEPT.”

Thantos and Terror then beat on Star Warrior until Massif and Commander Sam run down to send the villains scattering.

INVINCIBLE KRAKAN def. WOLF (countout)

(**; Krakan 3-4, 9 pts; Wolf 2-5, 6 pts)

In all of this mess, it’s hard to remember that Wolf actually had to wrestle tonight! A good start for Wolf too, with his wildman style working in his favor until an image of a darkened locker room appears on the HoloVision. It’s someone in a Gladiator helmet, but we can’t quite see them. But we can hear them:

“Right here, chump. Come and get me.”

Wolf bolts out of the ring, ignoring the referee’s 10 count to end the match.

POST-MATCH, WOLF is yelling incoherently now, sprinting down the hallways and busting open the door to the locker room, which is 95% dark as the night winds down. Wolf bangs on locker doors and then a voice interrupts:

“Over here.”

Wolf spins to face the voice, but all he sees, all we see, is the back of that Gladiator helmet from before..

Could it be?

Wolf thinks so and charges, clobbering the helmet right off the mysterious Gladiator! Wolf hammers the mystery man a couple more times and then turns him over to apply the SAVAGE FACE CLAW, when he notices… when we notice…

It’s Xavier “Goody” Goodman! His mouth has been taped shut and his hands were tied to his body to keep him from moving (though he’s not doing much moving after getting clobbered by Wolf)

In the momentary confusion, a large forearm clubs Wolf in the back of the head. It’s BRUTE, and MASSACRE and the mystery Gladiator put the boots to Wolf for a few moments before Massacre calls off the dogs.

“Whoa whoa whoa, easy, save some for later.”

The trio is about to walk away when the mystery Gladiator takes off his helmet.

“By the way, chump. Name’s Spike.”

Spike sneers and turns to walk away with Brute/Massacre, Wolf still face down.

SPIKE joins Rising Star Scramble

We now know the identity of the mysterious third Gladiator that has been a thorn in Wolf's side - Spike! He'll join the Rising Star Scramble at GWF Perennial, with the winner of the over-the-top rope battle royal receiving an immediate promotion to the Interplanetary League!

Thantos has accepted: He will face Star Warrior in the Cosmic Cage at GWF Perennial! Thantos helped protect his lead in the Galaxy League by helping his henchman, Comrade Terror, defeat Star Warrior. A loss by Massacre also helps his chances of wrapping up the league championship!

RENEGADE def. PULSAR (SPINECRACKER)

Combined with last week’s forfeit, Renegade has now scored points in each of the last three weeks, and is right back in the hunt for a top-6 finish in the IP League!

EXECUTIONER def. VANITY (HEADSMAN GUILLOTINE)
(**; Exec 5-2-1, 16 pts; Vanity 4-4, 12 pts)

After Killer Queen brushed him off last week, Vanity’s mind was elsewhere. Vanity tried to get his head straight late in the match, but it was too late and Executioner keeps himself near the top of the league standings.

POST-MATCH, Vanity goes to leave the ringside area but an interview with Killer Queen comes onto the HoloVision. Xavier “Goody” Goodman’s replacement is Nikki Normandy, asking Killer Queen about his match about Pit Viper later tonight: “That freak may have convinced that loser Pulsar to go along with the precious Code last week, but I’m going to make sure that this cyclops is unrecognizable by the end of tonight!”

When asked about the match with Vanity last week: “Did he put you up to this? Listen, it’s every man for himself here in the Interplanetary League. I’m trying to put myself in the best position to win at all times. He may have won last week, but I'm the superior member of this team.”

Vanity wore a look of hurt and confusion as he left the ringside area.

OMEGA def. BEAST-RIDER (TOMAHAWK THRUST)
(DUD, Omega 4-3-1, 13 pts; Beast-Rider 3-5, 9 pts)

A straightforward victory for the much more experienced Omega against an opponent a bit more in his wheelhouse like Beast-Rider.

KILLER QUEEN def. PIT VIPER (CHECKMATE)
(DUD, KQ 5-3, 15 pts; PV 5-3, 15 pts)

The match shifted when Pit Viper misjudged a leap off the top rope to the outside, likely due to his impared vision. That opened the door for Killer Queen to work over Pit Viper’s back and force Pit Viper to tap to the CHECKMATE.

POST-MATCH, Vanity came out to confront his tag team partner. The discussion was not long, whatever it was, but it ended once again with Killer Queen walking out.

COMMANDER SAM def. DEATH KNIGHT (SAM’S ATOMIC DROP)

Send the fans home happy, folks. Sam dominates Death Knight and gets a big ovation as he takes over sole possession of first place in the Interplanetary League.

Galaxy League - Week 8

STAR WARRIOR def. WOLF (NOVA LAUNCH)
(*; SW 5-2-1, 16 pts; Wolf 2-6, 6 pts)

An intriguing matchup to start the show, but Wolf was no match for the Star Warrior, two stars that are going in completely different directions.

POST-MATCH WITH NIKKI NORMANDY: Wolf expresses surprise that the Gladiator cowards didn’t try to sneak attack him again, and warns that turnabout is fair play when it comes to bringing new faces into the GWF. “You have won the battles, I will win the war.”

LORD NEXUS def. COMRADE TERROR (knife-edge)
(**; Nexus 4-4, 12 pts; Terror 3-5, 9 pts)

It’s generally accepted that Comrade Terror’s success in the GWF ebbs and flows with how much Thantos is getting involved in his matches, and this match is further proof.

Before the next match, Lord Nexus is leaving the ringside area, when Krakan comes out for his match. Once again, the mysterious man in the mask has returned, and Lord Nexus looks to be ready for a fight, but Krakan offers a handshake with an evil grin on his face. When Nexus doesn’t accept, Krakan turns his back on Nexus and walks to the ring, while the masked man keeps an eye on Nexus the entire way down the ring. The mind games continue…

INVINCIBLE KRAKAN (w/ ??) def. MASSIF (?? interference)
(*1/2, Krakan 4-4, 12 pts; Massif 2-6, 6 pts)

This time, the mystery man got involved, showing impressive power in lifting Massif off the ground before sickeningly dropping Massif throat first on the top rope while Krakan had the referee occupied. That was more than enough for Krakan to get the win, a third-straight win for the Society of Death leader.

POST-MATCH WITH NIKKI NORMANDY: Krakan finally explains that his new addition to the Society of Death is named SPLATTER, and he is Krakan’s insurance policy against any of the Flying Titans trying any funny business while Ghengis Khan and Mutant are on “vacation,” as Krakan put it.

ACTAGON def. PROTEUS (GRECIAN SLEEPER GRIP)
(*½; 5-3, 15 pts; Proteus 3-5, 9 pts)

A respectful match between the Greek Gods, with Proteus managing to telegraph Actagon’s attempts at the GSG until Actagon finally got it locked on, and Proteus submitted to avoid being put to sleep!

POST-MATCH WITH NIKKI NORMANDY: The Greek Gods explain that they are not part of Wolf’s plan of going to war with the Gladiators, insisting that Wolf can go it alone after the aggression shown toward some of the Galaxy Heroes.

EXO-KING def. MASSACRE (DEATH VISE)
(**; E-K 5-3, 15 pts; Massacre 5-3, 15 pts)

Once one of the hottest stars in the Galaxy League, Massacre has completely cooled off and now needs to win out and get some help from Thantos’ opponents to even have a shot at the Galaxy League title.

THANTOS def. BRUTE (MASTERLOCK)
(*½; Thantos 7-0-1, 22 pts; Brute 2-6, 6 pts)

Thantos delivered on his pre-match promise, explaining that he would handle the big Brute and show how prepared he was for the Cosmic Cage match with Star Warrior. While Thantos had an advantage early after working on Brute’s legs, Brute started mounting a comeback before Killer Queen provided a cheap distraction, allowing Thantos to low blow Brute, hit a Satanic Skull Smasher and lock on the MASTERLOCK.

Thantos and Killer Queen celebrated as they left the ringside area. Massacre came out to round up his defeated partner, and as the Gladiators left the ringside area, Wolf appeared on the HoloVision, laughing:

WOLF: "They're coming soon. Revenge will be sweet. You'll see!"

Interplanetary League - Week 9



Three weeks to go! Lots of high-stakes matches tonight. Can Commander Sam hang on to the top spot with a big chase pack trying to catch him?



WINNING BY FORFEIT: PULSAR (3-6, 9 pts); DEATH KNIGHT (3-6, 9 pts)



ON THE MIC: Prior to his match, Vanity introduces the GWF world to a strange creature that Vanity claimed to get from Beast-Rider’s cosmic zoo.

The crowd gasped at the sight of this beast. This deformed...creature...started lumbering down to the ring. There appeared to be some confusion in its eyes, but it was hard to see as one eyelid appeared to be almost swollen shut, while the other eye almost bulged out of the socket, a jaundiced yellow.

VANITY: “Man, is this thing creepy or what? What a creeper! ...Waitaminute, that’s perfect! Ladies and gentlemen, I bring you THE CREEPER!”

OMEGA def. VANITY (w/ THE CREEPER) (DQ)

(NO MATCH, Omega 5-3-1, 16 pts; Vanity 4-5, 12 pts)

The ring bell excited this creature, and Vanity was caught by surprise when THE CREEPER ran into the ring and leapt on Omega for the almost instantaneous DQ!

POST-MATCH, the bell rang again and Creeper turned his attention to Vanity, who scrambled around in his tights for a remote with a button that he pressed to subdue the creature. Omega didn’t seem as hurt by the attack as he was just confused, and Vanity made sure to lead Creeper away from the ringside area before he (it?) caused any more damage.



PIT VIPER def. EXECUTIONER (VENOM BLAST)

(**½; PV 6-3, 18 pts; Executioner 5-3-1, 16 pts)

Pit Viper has obviously been training harder to accommodate his impared vision, as the eyepatch didn’t seem to have an effect this time. Pit Viper had enough agility to avoid Executioner’s big moves, and picked up the win to, for the time being, tie Commander Sam atop the Interplanetary League.

POST-MATCH WITH NIKKI NORMANDY: Nikki asks how Pit Viper feels about keeping pace with Commander Sam for the Interplanetary League championship: “I respect Sam as a competitor and I look forward to our battle for the top spot being legendary.

“But Nikki… there is another battle that I am ready to fight. … I have implored GWF officials to ensure that the suspension on the Society of Death be lifted in time for GWF Perennial. … I need Ghengis Khan and Mutant to be in attendance. … Because I am challenging Mutant to a TITAN DEATH MATCH!”

NN: “Mutant? Surely you mean Ghengis Khan, the man who was the mastermind behind...well...both of the attacks on you?!”

PV: “Nikki, the Invincible Krakan has had it out for us Titans since day one here in the GWF. … I don’t believe for a second that he had nothing to do with the attack on my eye. … But I want to make one thing clear. … It will not be enough for me to merely get revenge. … No. … Mutant is just the beginning. … It starts with Mutant, because once I’m done with him, it’s one less roadblock between me and the rest of the Society of Death. … For me to even destroy Ghengis Khan will not be enough. … I will take down Krakan’s new ‘insurance policy’ next. …. Once I’ve cut off every other piece of the snake, I’ll ask my brothers Lord Nexus and Pulsar to join me in this ring, and together, Nikki …

“… WE’LL CUT OFF THE HEAD!”

Pit Viper gritted his teeth and sliced a thumb across his throat as the crowd roared.



RENEGADE def. KILLER QUEEN (SPINECRACKER)

(**, Renegade 5-4, 15 pts; KQ 5-4, 15 pts)

A bizarre finish as Killer Queen went to put on the CHECKMATE, but noticed Vanity and The Creeper coming down to the ring! Killer Queen let go of Renegade and started yelling at Vanity to keep that thing away from the ring, that he wasn’t going to let Vanity ruin this moment for him again.

But Renegade took advantage of the distraction, clobbering Killer Queen from behind and hitting Killer Queen with a backbreaker before locking in the SPINECRACKER for the submission!

POST-MATCH: Renegade seemed to give a look of recognition to The Creeper, but got out while the getting was good. Killer Queen was incensed as Vanity came into the ring with The Creeper.

VANITY: “Now wait, before you overreact, take a look at this! This...this Creeper is just what we need to make sure we get rid of those Neptunians for good!”

KILLER QUEEN: “The only thing this blob has done is cost me a match, as far as I’m concerned! What part of this don’t you understand? I’m here to win. You know what? Thantos warned me about you.”

VANITY: “Thantos warned you about ME?”

KQ: “That’s right. He knows what I was too blind to see. I’ll never reach my full potential with you weighing me down.”

VANITY: “...Weighing you down?”

KQ: “We’re done here.”

VANITY: “Wait…”

Vanity reached out to grab KQ’s shoulder and Queen pivoted around and clocked Vanity with a right hand.

KQ: “That’s enough! I said we’re DONE! If you need a tag team partner, I’m sure this pile of goo can figure out how to carry your ass!”

Queen left as Vanity got up to his knees, holding his jaw and looking at the Creeper, and then back to Queen in disbelief.


Beast-Rider came down to the ring, and Killer Queen looked at Beast-Rider for a moment as they crossed paths and then just shook his head as Beast-Rider made a beeline for Vanity! Vanity and The Creeper escaped through the crowd.

BEAST-RIDER def. COMMANDER SAM (Beast Knee Shuffle)

(DUD, B-R 4-5, 12 pts; Sam 6-3, 18 pts)

A shocker! Possibly feeding off the motivation of losing one of his exhibits, Sam was overwhelmed by an energized Beast-Rider, who put Sam on his back for a three count that once again shows the incredible parity of talent that the Interplanetary League established in its first season!”

POST-MATCH, Beast-Rider demanded that Vanity return his exhibit for next week’s show, reminding Vanity that he’s out of allies as we FADE TO BLACK.

LORD NEXUS def. WOLF (TITAN DROP)

(**, Nexus 5-4, 15 pts; Wolf 2-7, 6 pts)

Who knows what could have happened during this match, between the Society of Death and the Gladiators looming over the Galaxy League. But even though SPLATTER and KRAKAN were shown watching this match intently on a HoloVision backstage, there were no shenanigans here, just another tough loss for Wolf.

POST-MATCH, The Gladiators, along with Spike, taunt Wolf on the HoloVision after the loss. Star Warrior is definitely in the groove now, and like a master dominating a student, Star Warrior was gentle, but firm in his swift defeat of Massif (PROMOTER NOTE: Running Star Blast within two rolls followed by the NOVA LAUNCH)



BACKSTAGE, cameras find Massacre and Spike in the hallways tending to Brute, lying face down. The other Gladiators are yelling about someone sneak attacking Brute, but then Spike reminds Massacre that his match with Brute is next!

Massacre: “Sorry about this, pal.”

Massacre hoists Brute off the floor and Spike is confused, but Massacre barks at Spike to help get Brute to ringside.

Always an opportunist, Massacre and Spike rolled Brute into the ring and Massacre got the sneaky pin on his tag-team partner before Brute knew what hit him -- assuming he knew what him.

POST-MATCH, Brute starts to come to and Massacre and Spike will have some explaining to do as they leave the ringside area. “We’ll find who did this to ya, we’ll find ‘em, Brute.”



THANTOS def. ACTAGON (MASTERLOCK)

Actagon remains one of the more resilient, easy-to-root-for members of the GWF roster, reaching the ropes on a couple of Masterlock attempts before Thantos caught Actagon in the middle of the ring, making sure to really wrench it in to get the submission.

POST-MATCH, Thantos reminded the GWF crowd, much to its chagrin, how good it will feel to crush Star Warrior in the COSMIC CAGE as we FADE TO BLACK.

INJURY REPORT: BEAST-RIDER noticed RENEGADE was in pain after the show and asked doctors to look Renegade over. The diagnosis, along with a confession from Renegade, appeared to indicate that Renegade was wrestling with an injury to his shoulder dating back to a match earlier in the season. While that injury has nearly healed, doctors have implored Renegade to avoid the strain of applying the SPINECRACKER. … PROTEUS appears to be at 100 percent, even if his success rate against SPLATTER, KRAKAN and the Society of Death isn’t.

Omega didn’t seem as hurt by the attack as he was just confused, and Vanity made sure to lead Creeper away from the ringside area before he (it?) caused any more damage.

I was hoping he was going to pull out a laser pointer and use it to distract Creeper, like I have done with my cats.

Dismayed by the actions of his (former?) tag team partner last week, Vanity tried to take it out on the Neptunian Space-Cropper. When Vanity was clearly outmatched, Vanity went outside of the ring and reached for his remote to activate The Creeper, but when the Creeper went to attack Beast-Rider, there seemed to be a look of understanding between man and beast and Creeper did not attack. Frustrated, Vanity rolled back into the ring to yell at Creeper, who roared at Vanity, scaring the villain as he fumbled with the remote all the way into a Cropper Slam for the finish!

POST-MATCH, Beast-Rider wanted to take The Creeper away from the ringside area, but The Creeper did not budge. Beast-Rider tried to implore his creature to come along, but the Creeper remained stoic. The prolonged confusion allowed time for Vanity to recover and bash Beast-Rider from behind.

After blindsiding Beast-Rider, Vanity hit a different button on the remote, which caused the Creeper to fall to its knees in pain, apparently being hit with some unseen force of energy! Whatever it was, it whipped Creeper into obedience, and Vanity and the Creeper left Beast-Rider in the ring as we FADE TO BLACK.

GALAXY LEAGUE LIVE - WEEK 10



KRAKAN (w/ SPLATTER) def. ACTAGON (DQ)

(Krakan 6-4, 18 pts; Actagon 5-5, 15 pts)

Total screwjob by the official here - didn’t see Splatter get involved in the match, attacking Actagon on the outside with Krakan running interference on the official, but when Actagon retaliates by piledriving Krakan outside of the ring, the referee sees everything and awards the victory to Krakan. Actagon, frustrated, argues with the official as Splatter gets Krakan out of harms’ way.

POST-MATCH, a group appeared on the Holovision, interrupting Actagon's argument with the official. They introduced themselves as the NORSE GODS, claiming to be the true mythical gods of the GWF, and promising that they would prove their superiority in the Rising Star Scramble and then in the upcoming off-season Tag Carnival!



BRUTE (w/ MASSACRE) def. COMRADE TERROR (DECAPITATOR)

Bouncing back from the sneak attack last week, Brute took care of business against the hapless Comrade Terror.

POST-MATCH WITH NIKKI NORMANDY: When asking Brute about last week’s attack and Massacre’s sneaky victory over him, Massacre butts in before Brute can answer and insists they’re focused on finding Brute’s attacker, though they don’t think they’ll need to look far - they say they know better than to reveal their counterattack, but the Gladiators will be watching later tonight.



STAR WARRIOR def. PROTEUS (Running Star Blast)

(SW 7-2-1, 22 pts; Proteus 3-7, 9 pts)

More mind games from Thantos as he came out to watch this match in person, albeit from the entrance way. Star Warrior easily handled Proteus.

POST-MATCH, Star Warrior addressed Thantos, reminding the Code-Breaker that no matter what happens in the Galaxy League standings, the only thing that people will remember is what happens inside the Cosmic Cage in two weeks’ time.



MASSIF def. LORD NEXUS (VOLCANIC DROP)

A bit of an upset, but hopefully, for Massif’s sake, not too little, too late. The Federation Defense Fighter is on the bubble for demotion and will have to fight to stay in the Galaxy League in the season finale next week.

Wolf is in the same boat as Massif, but at least Massif doesn’t have the Gladiators breathing down his neck…

POST-MATCH, Brute and Massacre appeared in the entranceway and started making their way down to confront Wolf, when Massacre was clobbered from behind by...THANTOS?!

Of course the Code-Breaker would take advantage of the chaos between the Gladiators in Wolf. In the fracas that ensued after Thantos’ unlikely surprise attack, Wolf was able to slip out into the GWF audience and avoid the wrath of the Gladiators. Brute tried to fight back for his tag team partner, but Killer Queen was close behind Thantos and wiped out Brute. Thantos rolled Massacre into the ring, laughing, as the bell rang. Massacre tried getting to his feet to put up a fight, but Thantos was on the offensive for the entirety of this brief match. As GWF security separated Brute and Killer Queen’s brawl on the outside, Thantos put on the finishing touches inside the ring.

THANTOS HAS CLINCHED THE GALAXY LEAGUE CHAMPIONSHIP!

POST-MATCH, Thantos celebrated, mocking the fans’ protest chants of “Warrior!" as we FADE TO BLACK.

The wrestlers in third through sixth at the end of the season will compete in a one-night tournament at GWF Perennial to determine the third wrestler to be promoted to the Galaxy League. In the event of ties in the standings to determine promotion or IP League Playoffs placement, head-to-head matches will also be held next week.
