Tournament is disqualification crazy.... Firpo and Hansen I can recall previous years that had more but back to back disqualification finishes really put the spotlight on it

Going to have to start running this tourney no DQ or use generic referees instead of Dollar. Go Brody and Hansen. The suggestion of no disqualification matches or double rolls etc have been made by my fellow promoters over the years but I just keep things straight up. Hopefully the balance of the tournament will see fewer disqualifications

Think the favorites will advance.
I don't like DQs much but Brody/Firpo it felt like a strong chance that would happen no matter what.

Think the favorites will advance. I don't like DQs much but Brody/Firpo it felt like a strong chance that would happen no matter what. One of the issues I struggle with is how aggressive to play the tournament matches. Obviously, the more often the action leaves the ring the higher the chances are of a disqualification finish. I could roll out the matches and essentially keep the action in the ring as much as possible but I try to play the action with as much reality as possible taking into consideration the characteristics of the competitors. The card mechanic obviously leans towards certain characteristics and/or aggression but if the dice lead to a heated encounter, I just go with it. I also try to use the Dr. Mike Lano card in every encounter as well.
