Lou Thesz (8) v. BG James (57)
Both men are very selective early on and it makes for a slow but intense start. James scores with a kick in the corner and then lands a Shake, Rattle & Roll knee drop for a one count (R6/P2). Thesz regains his feet but James connects with a PUMP HANDLE SLAM. Morgan Dollar hit the mat three times and this is the last we will see of Lou Thesz for some time to come in the tournament (R3/P4). STUNNED! Up next . . .
Ray Stevens (4) w/Bobby Heenan v. Brad Armstrong (61)
What a way to start week two....

This legendary tournament is on fire as usual bookerbill. B.G. James over Lou Thesz was a shocker to say the least. The one thing that can always be said about the Legends Tournament is expect the unexpected and that result speaks volumes. Keep those dice rolling my friend.

While the shock of Thesz being bounced in the first round is still fresh, the smart money appears to be on Stevens to advance into the second round . . .
Ray Stevens (4) w/Bobby Heenan v. Brad Armstrong (61)
Stevens counters an early backdrop with a piledriver and then heads to the top. He is slow and Armstrong catches him for a superplex. Both men counter and Stevens lands a series of punches that lead to a neckbreaker. Stevens sets into an offensive pace dropping knees and landing more midsection punches. Armstrong counters a neckbreaker into a sleeper in the middle of the ring. The fans are on their feet as Stevens just makes the ropes (R4/P3). Two handed bulldog bounces Stevensâ head off the mat. Knee drop lands but Stevens counters a hip toss into a neckbreaker. Stevens lands a series of jumping knee smashes and a running lariat. Armstrong is in trouble and Stevens plants him with a CRIPPLING PILEDRIVER for the three count from Morgan Dollar (R3/P5).
Up NextâŚ
Stan Hanson (29) v. âExoticâ Adrian Street (36)
Talk about a contrast in styles . . .

Oh man...that next one is tough (and could have happened in Memphis possibly) I'll just cheer whoever wins that one. Cool to see The Crippler advance.
