Looking forward to Birds of Prey as I really liked Margot Robbie as Harley Quinn in the Suicide Squad.
I think I read somewhere this movie is not part of the DC Universe movies? Is that true? It seems odd if that is the case since Suicide Squad was part of the DC Universe movies and Margot Robbie was playing Harley Quinn in that movie.

I hated Suicide Squad and this doesn't really look all that good to me but who knows... I'll wait for DVD and rent it. As for whether this is in the DC movie universe, it should be. It references the previous movie which definitely was but the DC movie universe is a mess now. It sounds like they are no longer trying to make everything connect and just let the film makers do whatever, which will probably be great sometimes (Joker) and will probably lead to some real stinkers. I also find that this approach confuses people who aren't comic book fans as they start assuming that things are connected or that one movie has the true origin of a character or whatever. It's not like the beginning of each movie will clarify whether each one is part of the extended universe or not.
They've announced a ton of movies as being in development but they only slowly trickle out, whereas Marvel schedules movies and they usually come out as planned.
If you end up seeing this, please post your impressions. I'll be curious to see what you think.

I saw Birds of Prey tonight at Sam's Town before going to tonight's Impact TV tapings inside Sam's Town.
I was not sure if I would like this movie or not as one of my friends saw it on Thursday night and he said he walked out of it.
But I personally enjoyed this movie.
Margot Robbie (who I also really liked recently in Bombshell and as Sharon Tate in Once Upon A Time in Hollywood) again is just awesome as Harley Quinn.
The movie is very violent (rated R) when compared to most superhero movies and it deserves that rating, but really nothing excessive for violence IMO.
The tone of this movie is also very different than your standard superhero movie, one of my favorite movies in the DCEU.
There is something at the very end of the credits, but it actually really is not worth staying for IMO- they are basically just making fun of you for staying for it.
B+
