Let's not get carried away. We are far from WWE level. But that is fine. The last year or so I have been enjoying Impact more than normal. They have worked hard to give everyone a character and some level of a storyline. Almost every match has meaning be it for gold or just the title hunt or it is tied into storyline. It is reminding me a bit of WCW from 96-98 where there is a bit of everything so most anyone can find something they enjoy, Let's get carried away! WWE is far from being on a high level. Can we say "slump"?! Impact is rising quick! Are they exceptional? Naw! But they are further along than a stumbling WWE.

We watch wrestling for the matches but it's the moments that make the shows special. This week was full of them. Sabin taking on Ace and Fulton resulting in him locking Fulton in the freezer was awesome. Decay coming down in force and eerily surrounding IInspiration was so damn sweet. Eddie Edwards teasing a jump off the ladder in the ring onto Moose on a ringside table tapped into hardcore memories. Then the ending with news of Wrestle House 2 was fantastic. I can't wait for Turning Point Saturday and Wrestle House 2 next week.
As for the wrestling the six man was entertaining, love Steve's new color scheme, and the main event was all I hoped for.
I noticed that starting last week they are doing more backstage promos. I like it.

I was going to have to try and make it to the taping. Then I realized there is a chance I might be working every day in January. A lady at work is having knee surgery and will be out 4-6 weeks. It was originally supposed to happen in early December but looks like its being pushed back to late December. So of course with my luck I will probably be working when they are in state. But fingers crossed I can at least make one night. Thanks for the info. <Thumbs up>

I just found out that Impacts partnership with AEW ended after BFG. I hope they ended on good terms. I would like to see them work in the future. They do not need to do crossover all the time but if either promotion has someone on their roster they have nothing for that could use air time they could work some matches for the other company. I still think Impact/Scott/Gail could help AEW with their women's division.

On Monday's Impact tapings I attended, scroll down if you want a SPOILER that I personally thought was very cool:
FSW Women's Champion Sandra Moone, who went to the high school I teach at, made her Impact debut. She wrestled Masha Slamovich.

Impact still has a deal with NJPW, but not sure how long that will last with AEW being the place I think NJPW wants to work with?

I mean if a working agreement means you have to do crossover stuff than yea, it can end. But if it just means you are on good terms and can discuss specifics of working together at any time then no need for it to end. Much like how pro teams can talk trade anytime they want, within the window such things are allowed, but does not mean they have too.

Since I am going to be home tomorrow night, I ordered Hard to Kill.
I was surprised to see Mickie James not only announced for the Royal Rumble tonight on Smackdown but also announced as the Impact Knockouts Champion tonight on Smackdown.

I saw that Impact announced that Mike Bailey (who is replacing Jake Something) makes his Impact debut tonight on the Preshow on You Tube at 7:30 PM EST/4:30 PM PDST. This looks like a great Preshow matchup.
