Glad to hear it Zeke. I had great principals and terrible principals so glad you got one of the really good ones.

I did not think it was going to happen by this point, but I did get a call this afternoon from the CRCN saying my application to participate in the local COVID-19 vaccine trial has been approved pending the results of a prescreening which will happen tomorrow morning (I am just clearing it with work right now.)

Zeke, you are a good man. You are certainly doing your part to combat this virus, and helping out potentially thousands upon thousands of people along the way. Bravo sir.

Stu, thanks, but we will see what happens tomorrow with the prescreening. I have had some health issues in the past, however I don't think that will prevent me from passing the prescreening test.

I am at the clinic now. I passed the physical and just got a COVID-19 test (the nasal swab up the nose is not a fun experience) and then had 8 vials of blood withdrawn. In a few minutes I am getting called to the lab to get the vaccine shot. Hopefully the information they get from this vaccine trial will prove useful in the efforts to find a vaccine for COVID-19.

I really hope this nasty virus is eradicated.
I have an underlying respiratory issue from surviving cancer and severe pneumonia and know that if I develop Covid-19, I'm a dead man. So I have not left my home since mid-March.
Stay safe, everyone. And keep those dice rolling!

At the clinic today, they gave me this cool sticker after I got the vaccine shot (the shot could either be the actual vaccine or it could be the dummy version as neither myself nor the clinic knows- they make equal amounts of both versions:) At the clinic today, they also gave me a Mastercard with money on it that they are going to keep adding to each week when I answer their phone calls to discuss my condition and when I return for subsequent clinic visits once/month. I did not do this for the money, but I still accepted that Mastercard.
