This afternoon I got the Omicron vaccine along with the annual flu vaccine.
Everybody I have talked to has said the temporary side effects have been worse for them after getting the Omicron vaccine so as a precaution I took a sick day from work tomorrow, although if I wake up tomorrow and feel fine and if a substitute has not already taken the job then I am willing to go into work.

For me the Omnicron booster did not turn out to be as bad as the second shot or last year's booster in regards to temporary side effects.
For me when I woke up today I had a headache (now mostly gone,) a sore arm, and a little fatigue. It was enough to keep me home from work today (I went back to sleep and then watched Nope while lying down,) but most of those temporary side effects are already gone now. I would rather do this then get the disease and have to miss the mandatory 5 days at work.
Most people who have gotten this new Omicron vaccine booster have told me it was their worst one yet in regards to the temporary side effects later, but it was not the worst for me.

Absolutely the case for the women in my family. I havent had it yet, and gotta say not really looking forward to it. |

After managing to avoid the damn virus for the past three years it finally got me this past Saturday.
Thankfully it was just a minor case: I had some dizziness, major body aches and a bit of a cough. No breathing difficulties and no problems keeping food down both of which I'm extremely grateful for.
By Monday I was pretty much back to normal. All in all I've had colds that were worse than what I experienced this weekend.
Not trying to downplay the severity of the virus as I know people who had more serious cases. I guess I just got lucky.
