Yeah the virus is so bad here we're going back to curbside service starting Monday. Hope the vaccines will do well and life will get back to something resembling normal sometime next year.

My guess is by summer or early fall things will start getting back to "normal". Of course results will vary from state to state. Here in FL things are pretty close back to normal. That is why we have seen huge spikes in new cases again. I think it was 14K+ yesterday and it looks like it might be 24K+ in last 24 hours but that seems a bit high to me. Either way it is not good. I still do not know anyone who has tested positive, far as I know, but I know people who know people who have and even a couple deaths from COVID sadly.

I have asthma and have had pneumonia 16 times and I was dead in 1999 for 25 minutes. I spent a year and a half in the hospital and and nursing home. I weighed 230 LBS when it happened and ended up at 96 LBS. I could'nt eat or drink for 10 months. It took me 9 months to walk again. If I get this shit I'm a dead man. Haven't left the house but a couple of times in the last year. Thank God for Filsinger Games!!

Moderna called me this morning.
I was originally supposed to find out sooner but things got delayed as the vaccine rollout has been slower than earlier projected.
I now have an appointment at 8 AM on January 29th at which time they are going to unblind my volunteer status and tell me if I got the COVID-19 vaccine back in September or if I got the placebo and if it turns out I received the placebo then they will vaccinate me on January 29th.
So I will be going almost nowhere between now and the 29th (thankfully I can work from home.)

My brother and his gf got it but recovered quickly. Then my mother got it and just felt like she had a cold. Unfortunately, then my dad got it after taking care of my mother (against her wishes) and ended up in the hospital with pneumonia. He's finally home, though still on an oxygen machine.
I am so sick of people blowing this off like it's a little bug. a 99% survival rate does not mean you're all but confirmed to walk away with no problems. 80 yr olds have recovered while 20 yr olds drop dead. That and the more it spreads, the more chance it has to mutate into something far more dangerous.
And I swear if one person tells me, my mask is invisible, I'm going to test that theory with my fist!

I have dealt with this argument before, and used this: if you had one hundred jelly beans, and you knew one of them was deadly poison, how many of the jelly beans would you eat?

I got my second shot yesterday. At first, no reaction but then last night as I was playing and posting my LOW fed the side effects suddenly hit me hard. Massive fatigue, chronic pain, rising temperature, muscle weakness, etc. After sleeping, I feel a little better but not much as I am lying in bed feeling incapacitated from this vaccine. These side effects really suck, but at least they indicate that the vaccine is working.

I got the vaccine working in the Nursing Home field and both shots made me fatigued the next day, I was off the next day for the 2nd shot and I was wiped out. You should be feeling better tomorrow or Monday...

Hope you're better soon Vegas. Supposed to have my taxes done yesterday but my guy called and had to cancel because he just got his second dose and felt like crap. Seems to be the price to pay to wipe this thing out.
