Champions Crusade

Commissioner Encubus: Champions Crusade is finally here and tonight the FTR will have both FTR Single Champion and FTR Tag Team Champions. I have chosen four of the best tag teams in the FTR to compete in a tournament for the FTR Tag Team Championships… the four teams are Villains Inc., Mad Maxus, Divine Judgement, and Penguins on Ice.
There has be been a stipulation added to the Powerslam vs. Captain Crossbones match, as it is now a Black Sails Match. Both competitors will battle it out on a pirate ship and the winner must hang their opponent from the top of the mast. This stipulation was requested by Captain Crossbones two days ago.
Disciple of Terror has been petitioning the FTR Board of Directors and myself to ban the tape fist and boxing fighting of Billy Jo Boxer. In other wrestling organizations they may ban the use of closed fists, but the FTR is not like those other organizations. We want those with different and unique fighting styles here in the FTR competing against one another. It’s these different fighting styles that make for an exciting match, wrestler versus boxer match! So, it’s the decision of the FTR Board of Directors and myself that Billy Jo Boxer will compete against Disciple of Terror for the FTR Championship.
Let’s get to our opening match between two underdogs… Ursa Major vs. Uranus!
Opening MatchUrsa Major vs. UranusUranus defeated Ursa Major with a Gordian Twist at 6:48- These two wrestlers tried to put on a good match, but the crowd just refused to give them a chance and chanted “This is boring” and “You suck!” They got through the match with Uranus pulling out the victory.
Galactic Punisher vs. EgoEgo defeated Galactic Punisher with a TERMINATION at 14:22- The crowd settled down and got into this match as it was more brutal. Ego used his power to put a serve hurting on Galactic Punisher. Punisher made a few comebacks but ultimately just couldn’t pull it together for the win. Ego got the win with his finisher TERMINATION, a hanging vertical suplex into a powerslam.
FTR Tag Team Championship Tournament Semi-Finals MatchDivine Judgement vs. Villains Inc.Zion defeated Manic with a Zion Bomb at 21:41- These two teams had a feeling out between Judah and Swerve, Judah got the upper hand advantage. It took a while of double teams and cheating to get Judah off his feet. Divine Judgement look like they were in trouble but when Judah was able to make the hot tag then Villains Inc. chance went to null. Zion came in and cleaned house with Manic. Divine Judgement goes on to the finals of the FTR Tag Team Championship Tournament.
Blue Chip vs. Prince of the RosePrince of the Rose defeated Blue Chip with a NOT IN LINE at 10:13- The fans went wild in this match as those purists to real wrestling beheld two masters competing. Blue Chip performed a lot of amateur and Greco-Roman wrestling against Prince of the Rose. The Prince showed he was the better of the two when he countered Blue Chip’s True Blue and hit him with NOT IN LINE for the win!
FTR Tag Team Championship Tournament Semi-Finals MatchPenguins on Ice vs. Mad MaxusTotally Awesome defeated King Tux with an AWESOME FINISHER at 15:08- The Penguins on Ice was in control of most of this match until King Tux crashed and burned on BELLY FLOP. Totally Awesome hit his finisher AWESOME FINISHER for the win. The FTR was stunned as they thought the Penguins were going to go on to the finals. Mad Maxus will be in the finals against Divine Judgement.
Mayham vs. ParalyzeMayham defeated Paralyze with a BACON BITS at 6:13- This was a last-minute match wanted by Paralyze to put some hurt on Mayham for dressing up like the disgraced Aethran Mayhem. Apparently, Aethran Overmaster had order Paralyze to put an end to Mayham like he did to Vengeance all those years ago.
- Paralyze showed lots of ring rust and Mayham took advantage of that, putting away the Aethran in little over six minutes.
Black Sails MatchPowerslam vs. Captain CrossbonesCaptain Crossbones defeated Powerslam with a BLACK SAILS at 12:31- Powerslam and Crossbones fought on an actual pirate ship. Powerslam tried to use his size and power to gain the advantage, but Crossbones would ultimately outsmart the Animen. Crossbones hit Plunder Kick, then BLACK SAILS for the win.
- After the match, Crossbones hung Powerslam from the top of the ships black mast.
FTR Tag Team Championship Tournament Finals MatchDivine Judgement vs. Mad MaxusTotally Awesome defeated Zion with an AWESOME FINISHER at 18:48- Divine Judgement thought they were going to walk through Mad Maxus, but Electric Axe and Totally Awesome put up one hell of a fight. Axe hits Zion with the electric guitar, while Totally Awesome distracts the referee. Awesome then quickly hits AWESOME FINISHER for the three count.
Mad Maxus won the FTR Tag Team ChampionshipFTR Championship Tournament Finals MatchBilly Jo Boxer vs. Disciple of TerrorBilly Jo Boxer defeated Disciple of Terror with a TKO at 10:59- Disciple of Terror tried to stay out of the reach of Billy Jo, but as a wrestler that is hard to do as you need to get close to your opponent. Billy Jo was able to get his hands-on DoT and connect with TKO, but Terror was able to get to his feet at a count of six. Billy Jo was able to connect with a second TKO which knocked his opponent out.
