Card 07: North Eastern Wrestling Legends @ War Memorial Auditorium, Rochester New York
North East Wrestling Legends Tag Team Title Tournament
Quebecers over The Allies. Davey Boy Smith and Hacksaw Jim Duggan controlled the early action cutting off Jacques Rougeau for a long stretch leading to a FLYING SPEAR from Duggan but Morgan Dollar just reached the count of two. The Quebecers storm back and are able to focus their attack on Duggan including a Quebec head slam and later a Bombe de Rougeau. The Quebecers combine for a TOWER OF QUEBEC to Duggan and Jacques Rougeau gets the three count. James Gangs downed Foreign Legion. Sheik gets on the mic and tells us what he thinks about the fans before Voloff sings and the fans boo. The James Gang are the aggressors early. B.G. James and Voloff engage in a solid brawl on the floor and a backdrop spills Voloff to the floor and he is nearly counted out. Later, Sheik uses his loaded boot to inflict some punishment on B.G. James. James is in serious trouble and Voloff mounts the corner but James is able to avoid the stomp for the top and then small packages the big Russian for the three count from Morgan Dollar to advance to the finals.
Malia pinned Jazz. Jazz used her power to toss around Hosaka early on leading to a BITCH CLAMP but Hosaka is able to reach the ropes and keeps herself in the match. Hosaka makes use of her mobility and is soon connecting with kicks including a reverse spin kick that gets a near fall. It goes back and forth until Hosaka connects with karate kicks and gets the three count (snake eyes!). Lou Albano, Greg Valentine & Larry Zbyszko beat Blue World Order. It is chaos and humour as the Blue World Order hits the ring in Rochester. Morgan Dollar has strict instructions for both teams and calls for the bell. Albano mixes it up with Blue Meanie for a few moves and then gives way to Valentine. The Hammer hits a running clothesline and then immediately applies a FIGURE FOUR LEGLOCK. The match is over just like that.
Steve Corino defeated Justin Credible. The action was hotly contested in a back and forth battle. Corino took control when he smashed a chair into Credible’s midsection earning great heat. Corino was not able to get the three count even after an OLD SCHOOL EXPULSION. Credible came back nailing a DDT and later connecting with THAT’S INCREDIBLE for a big near fall of his own. It was back and forth. Credible caught Corino on the top of the corner late in the match and tossed him to the mat but could not capitalize before Corino hit a fisherman’s suplex for the three count. “Macho Man” Randy Savage bested Ivan Koloff by disqualification. The power of Koloff ruled the day early on as he pushed about Savage from corner to corner. Savage was able to connect with a neckreaker clothesline in his first real offensive move of the match and it lead to a near fall. Koloff bailed to regroup but Savage followed Koloff to the floor. As Savage closed in, Koloff grabs one of Dr. Mike Lano’s cameras and smashes Savage with it. The camera is totaled and Savage goes down in a heap. The referee calls for the bell and Savage is a bloody mess as he is assisted to the back. North East Wrestling Legends Tag Team Title Tournament – Finals
James Gangs were victorious over Quebecers to win the North East Wrestling Legends Tag Team Titles. Both sides look slightly fatigued as Morgan Dollar calls for the bell. It is back and forth early on. B.G. James caught Pierre Carl Oullett with a STANDING LEG DROP but Jacques Rougeau made the save. The James Gang were able to cut off Jacques Rougeau from his corner. Rougeau was nearly counted out after a brawl on the floor. B.G. James nails a PUMP HANDLE SLAM for a near fall. The James Gang continue to press the attack leading to a JAMES GANG AMBUSH for the victory.
Night of Dreams Hardcore Champion “Wild” Bull Curry destroyed Sandman in a Brass Knuckles Match. Curry came out swinging and battered Sandman to a bloody mess. Sandman had essentially zero offense the entire match which ended when Sandman was taken out with a chair smash to the skull to be put out cold for the ten count. Sandman is removed on a stretcher! Top Ten 1. Buddy Rogers (1) 2. Jerry Lynn, North East Wrestling Legends Champion (2) 3. S Cold Scorpio (4) 4. Davey Boy Smith (5) 5. Greg Valentine (7) 6. Larry Zbyszko (8) 7. “Macho Man” Randy Savage (9) 8. Iron Sheik (-) 9. Hacksaw Jim Duggan (10) 10. Ivan Koloff (-)

Card 08: American Wrestling Legends Association @ Winnipeg Arena, Winnipeg, Manitoba
Texas Hangmen crushed “Sodbuster” Kenny Jay & Jake “Milkman” Milliman. It was only three moves before the Hangmen combined for their HANGMEN BACKBREAKER with Psycho making the pin on Jay.
Terry Gory over The Crusher by disqualification. The brawling in this was spectacular as you would expect with these two men in the ring. The exchanged blows in and out the ring. Gordy’s larger physical size gave him an opportunity to take control and he unleashed elbow hammers, headbutts and multiple lariats. Crusher refused to stay down and even managed to kick out after a PILEDRIVER. Crusher made a comeback catching Gordy with a kick in the corner and then landing a pair of elbow drops that forced Gordy to the floor. Crusher followed Gordy outside and cracked him across the back with a chair in payback for a chair shot from Gordy earlier in the match. This time however, Morgan Dollar has seen enough and made the controversial disqualification call. King Kong Bundy w/Bobby The Brain” Heenan defeated Larry Hennig. Bundy took immediate control of the action and a body slam scored a two count. Bundy followed immediately with a backbreaker and covered Hennig for the three count but it appeared that Hennig had his shoulder up at the last second. The referee’s decision stood despite the protests of Hennig and the fans as The Brain quickly escaped ringside with a victorious Bundy. Melina pinned Rockin Robin. Morgan Dollar was in charge of this interesting contrast of styles. Melina was able to get control early and really controlled most of the contest. Robin was able to escape defeat after PRIMAL SCREAM and later was able slam Melina from the top of the corner to the mat but Robin was not able to string together a solid offensive attack. Melina claimed the win with a sunset flip backbreaker. Badland Express & Del Wilkes bested Alexis Smirnoff & Vachons. This was a wild action-packed battle from the outset to the final pin. The Vachons dominated the early events focusing their attack on Marty Jannetty who took a significant beating but managed to avoid defeat thanks to a key pin save by Jim Brunzell after Mad Dog Vachon planted him with a piledriver. Smirnoff did some significant damage with a pair of delayed pump suplexes. Jannetty was able to get the tag to Brunzell who turned things around. The fans were waiting for Smirnoff to get into the ring with Wilkes but the Russian wanted nothing to do with the masked American until Smirnoff finally stepped when Wilkes was down. But Wilkes fired back much to the delight of the fans sending Smirnoff to his corner for the tag. From that point it was back and forth. Vachon scored with his second PILEDRIVER of the match but Wilkes kicked out of the cover at two. It looked like Brunzell was in trouble late in the match but he managed to block Butcher Vachon’s charge into the corner with a running lariat. A tag to Jannetty lead to a ROCKER DROPPER to finish the match while Wilkes & Brunzell prevented any pin save. Bruiser Brody thrashed Abdullah The Butcher. The action between these two actually stayed within the ropes as Brody came out strong and landed hammering punches. A piledriver nearly killed Abdullah but only resulted in a two count. Brody then connected with a big boot to the face followed by a JUMPING KNEE DROP. Butcher raised his shoulder at the last second. With the fans going wild, Brody hit a second big boot to the face and then finished Butcher with a second JUMPING KNEE DROP. Butcher had zero offense the entire match. The match was so one sided, many fans were left wondering if these was end of battles between Butcher and Brody in AWLA.
Night of Dreams Tag Team Champions Valiant Brothers over Flying Redheads. The Champions struck immediately with a DOUBLE HOT SHOT to Red Bastien that nearly ended it. Bastien remained in trouble and a pin save from Billy Red Lyons after a SUPER ELBOW kept the action going. Lyons was able to get the hot tag and turned the tide. A FIGURE FOUR LEGLOCK nearly forced “Luscious” Johnny to tap out but a rope break kept the belts around the wastes of the Valiant Brothers. “Handsome” Jimmy Valiant made use of a foreign object to bloody Bastien which essentially took him out of the match. The Valiant Brothers caused a near riot at ringside when Johnny Valiant cracked Lyons with a title belt to the head that went unnoticed by Morgan Dollar. The Valiant Brother then took out Lyons with a DOUBLE CLOTHESLINE and retained the championship while the pin save of Bastien was blocked.
American Wrestling Legends Association Champion The Destroyer defeated Nick Bockwinkel w/Bobby “The Brain” Heenan in a best of three falls match 2:1. After the chaos of the last encounter, Morgan Dollar has strict instructions for both men before the bell of this title match. The first fall was a classic with both men countering each other to perfection. Thing began to heat up when Destroyer shoved Dr. Mike Lano into his challenger using the photographer as a human foreign object. Destroyer used a chop block on the floor and Bockwinkel would have been counted out if Heenan had not assisted him back under the ropes. Bockwinkel survived a FIGURE FOUR LEGLOCK and managed to gain some momentum but Destroyer used a pair of lengthy bow and arrows to stretch out his opponent and then took the first fall with a second FIGURE FOUR LEGLOCK. After a brief conference with Heenan in between falls Bockwinkel looked unstoppable in the second fall. He dominated and quickly had Destroyer’s shoulders to the mat after a piledriver. Destroyer kicked out but Bockwinkel kept coming. Destroyer made the ropes to escape both a BOCKWINKEL SLEEPER and a FIGURE FOUR LEGLOCK. Destroyer looked about finished but he was able to score with a backbreaker and then landed a BOMBS AWAY for a near fall. Heenan was able to turn the tide when he tripped up Destroyer from the outside which allowed Bockwinkel to apply a second FIGURE FOUR LEGLOCK for the submission. Both men were exhausted heading into the final fall. Bockwinkel took control with a back suplex but could not follow up before Destroyer countered back. The Bockwinkel countered and attack and it went back and forth. They went to the floor and Destroyer reversed a whip and sent Bockwinkel into the ring post. Blood poured out of the head of the challenger as Destroyer mounted the corner and hit a Bombs Away that was enough for the three count. Top Ten 1. The Destroyer, AWLA Champion (1) 2. Nick Bockwinkel (2) 3. Bruiser Brody (3) 4. Abdullah The Butcher (4) 5. Terry Gordy (6) 6. The Crusher (7) 7. King Kong Bundy (8) 8. Jimmy Snuka (5) 9. Alexis Smirnoff (9) 10. Larry Hennig (10)

The Valiant Brothers will face the team they beat for the Titles, the Rock n Roll Express on Card 12 when the NWLA comes to Greenville, SC. Card 09: National Wrestling Legends Alliance Convention Centre, Miami Beach, FLA
Bruiser Costa defeated Jackie Fargo by disqualification. Controversy out of the gate tonight as Costa uses a foreign object to bloody Fargo and then traps Fargo in THE CLAW but Fargo makes the ropes and then fires back at ringside bouncing Costa off the ring side table and then smashing him with a chair shot. The referee calls for the disqualification and the fans are not pleased as Costa manages to roll out of harms way and escapes to the back.
Johnny Mantell pinned Mr. Hughes. Mr. Hughes was out to look for some payback after his upset loss to Mantell in Philadelphia but things did not work out the way Hughes had planned. Hughes started strong after Morgan Dollar called for the bell but Mantell countered a charge into the corner with a clothesline. Texas Tumbleweed followed and Mantell then nailed back to back RUSSIAN LEG SWEEPS to make it two in a row over Hughes.
Sheepherders over The Taylors. Butch Miller and Luke Williams struggled against the size of Tugboat Taylor but they found great success against Chaz Taylor including plenty of questionable double teaming leading up to a DOUBLE GUTBUSTER but Tugboat was able to get into the action to break up the account. The Sheepherders were able to dispatch Taylor and the executed a RUNNING KNEE SMASH for a near fall before hitting a BATTERING RAM for the win while Williams blocked Tugboat Taylor from making the save. Night of Dreams Women’s Champion Sherri Martel pinned Leilani Kai. Both competitors showed they were willing to pull out all the stops to get the win particularly when Kai sent Martel in the ring post during a brawl on the floor. A butterfly suplex gained the challenger a two count from Morgan Dollar before Martel battled back including three consecutive clotheslines. Later, Kai was caught on the top of the corner and tossed to the mat. The momentum changed from that point in favour of the champion and Martel picked up the three count after a TOP ROPE SPLASH.
Johnny Valentine downed Sam Houston. Valentine showed his brutality early and often in this one Houston was able to weather the early storm and make a crowd pleasing comeback. Houston connected with a BULLDOG that nearly ended the match. Valentine was able to use a series of chop and forearms to battle back into control of the match which ended with an ATOMIC SKULLCRUSHER. Tully Blanchard & Masked Superstar w/J.J. Dillon over Rock ‘n’ Roll Express. Blanchard scored immediately with a foreign object that bloodied Robert Gibson in the opening moments of the action but Morgan Dollar did not see it. Gibson was able to get out trouble with a tag to Ricky Morton but Morton was quickly overpowered by Superstar. A sleeper slows Morton down sufficiently for Superstar to nails Morton with a Superstar Clothesline for the three count over the former Night of Dreams Tag Team Champions.
“Dr. Death” Steve Williams bested Ted DiBiase by disqualification. This one was over before it really started as the action quickly spilled to the floor. Both men tore it up and the official stepped in only to get shoved aside by DiBiase. It was enough to end the match but not the fight which carried on after the bell until officials flooded the ring to pull the to men apart. National Wrestling Legends Alliance Tag Team Champions Midnight Express w/Jim Cornette retained against “Exotic” Adrian Street & Gorgeous George w/Cherie Dupré. Morgan Dollar is subjected to abuse from Street, George and Dupré before the bell which leaves the official shaken. The Express and their challengers go move for move from the opening bell. A defensive tag from Bobby Eaton leads to a Double Goozle to Street. Street is rocked and Stan Lane takes full advantage with a RUSSIAN LEG SWEEP. Street kicks out but Lane follows with another RUSSIAN LEG SWEEP for the three count while Eaton blocks the pin save. Top 10 1. Lou Thesz, Night of Dreams Heavyweight Champion (1) 2. “Wild” Bull Curry, Night of Dreams Hardcore Champion (2) 3. Harley Race, National Wrestling Legends Alliance Champion (3) 4. “Dr. Death” Steve Williams (4) 5. Ted DiBiase (5) 6. Johnny Valentine (7) 7. Bobo Brazil (6) 8. Jackie Fargo (8) 9.
