Final Notes: I can't believe who ended up in the final four, much less the championship. Star Warrior 2087 from the original set did very little for me till his upgrade. It was crazy seeing him advance. He did get a cupcake or two along the way, but he also had to knock off not only the newly crowned Massive Champion at one point he had to take out Mandrill of two different incarnations twice! Vyper is a strong balanced card that seemed to get a lot of three and fours on the dice for pins. I think the biggest surprise for me was the Transvolved Mutant. What the crap is he doing there? Dude was like the luckiest guy in the tourney. Ursa Major, not the complete crap jobber, the other one also had a surprising tournament. Chaos, Wolf and Endgame had like fifty billion cards in this tourney, I actually was shocked they all got knocked off. I can now say I have played with every card I own at least once. I also have organized all my cards into mini folders so that is super cool too. I look forward to the huge Kronos set so I can live in that world for a long while. Thanks to Tom for getting us all started on this wacky journey of make believe and to all the people responsible for the thousands of characters that roam the Filsinger Galaxy. Thanks for reading all.
The End.

That was an incredible tournament. I can't believe you finished it! And very hard to believe that Vyper wins after all the monsters and superstars that the universe has to offer, Vyper sneaks out with the the trophy?!? Amazing! Crazy! I call shenanigans, rerun the whole tournament again!!! LOL.
Great work bud!

Vyper!?
That’s a big upset. Especially over Shayne. But I’m sure Vyper will take it.
Incredible work!

Now we just gotta get Vyper and update and fix the spelling of his finisher (still not sure how that happened). And kudos to you for sticking with this thing. I once ran a 64 man GWF vs GWFZ tournament and it was brutal to get through. But this looked liked it provided a lot of fun for you.

I'm kind of weird cat when comes to stats and matchups. I can run a hundred matches in a night with no problem. I'm always fascinated by card stat dynamics and the randomness of the dice. I did learn I don't like add 1 moves. I think I might start only counting add 1's if it lands on a down-3 or pin. Vyper doesn't win without it. A lot of boots have crazy move stipulations that also caused me to have to slow way down and read tiny print. That was annoying and I called a match off only once in the tournament because I was tired of reading that damn cards special circumstance for every move. One aCe card, Hustler is overpowered for the type of card he's supposed to be. If I ever get to aCe that guy is getting a down grade. I was going to do a tag tournament but I started compiling a list of teams and decided that would be too much. I look forward to just playing out CPC/POW and getting Kronos started. Ido have a mind to finish out my last boot set, this tournament showed me what not to do regarding stating boots alas that's a ways away. Again thanks for sticking with me on the journey.

I am a fan of the Add 1 mechanic when it’s used sparingly and helps balance out a card. Like you said, Vyper doesn’t win without it because without it he’s a 0 and a +1. But that Add 1 gives him that extra bite to hang with the big guys w big finishers. The other reason I like it is because it adds a bit of realism to the game for me. You see wrestlers take big moves and big bumps that clearly do serious damage even when there is no pin attempt. So without them, the only way you’d ever build up fatigue is by kicking out. I like to think big moves > using the strength to kick out. Does that make sense? Totally agree about small print mechanics. Necros comes to mind. Can definitely slow down a match until you memorize it.

I hear you. I think I was bothered more by the multiple add 1 on cards. Especially when there were multiple finishers as well. I get making a card super powerful to speed up game play. The new guy from 2136 that has a multiple add1 but no finisher I'm good with, I get that guy. Multiple finisher guy with multiple add 1, seemed way over powered. Kinda falls into three finisher guy with a offense -3 move and an deathjump option. You get knocked down it's rough getting back to level 2 defense. Although none of those type guys even made the final four, and it took weird dice rolls to upset them. I don't know, maybe I'm a back in my day guy. I find myself attracted to the older sets for league play. Maybe because I want to sit for a couple hours and play and some of the new sets, I'm three months in and twenty minutes went by. I mean I'm the guy that had Ursa Major vs. Black Hole Bart best of seven matches back in the day. I might need therapy. Lol..yeah.

I'm going to have to pull that card out, and see what he can do in my GWF after all this....that's just crazy! Really enjoyed reading all this, well done sir!
