Kassius Ohno, one of the recent wrestlers released by the WWE, tonight on Twitter posted a photo of his boots being left in the ring: Kassius Ohno Sparks Retirement Speculation With Twitter PostKassius Ohno has people speculating that he’s calling it quits after he posted a photo to Twitter that could be interpreted as such. Ohno, who was reportedly among the WWE releases last week, posted a black-and-white picture with his boots in the ring, as you can see below.
The photo brought a reaction from Joey Janela and ROH’s Cheeseburger, as well as a host of replies from people who took it as a sign he was “leaving his boots in the ring.”

It's been circulating for some time. He had mentioned it before. I remember seeing it in a video or dirt sheet awhile back. But never took too much stock in it as they were still putting him in TV.
There's alot of his matches on YouTube lately, maybe some promotions knew it was coming?

It also looks like he could just be closing the book on the Kassius Ohno character.

It also looks like he could just be closing the book on the Kassius Ohno character. yeah, the boots specifically do have the word Kassius displayed so that could be a possibility and is one of the reasons I put the ? in the thread title. My friend Alan who runs QPW and has booked Chris Hero multiple times in the past said yesterday he would now like to bring Hero back for another show but that he is under the impression that it is a retirement. I guess we will know for sure later. However, at any rate, many people in wrestling do not stay permanently retired. For example, Rasche Brown (who was 1/2 of the longest NWA World Tag Team Champions) at a recent CWFH show announced he is coming out of retirment to wrestle for CWFH. Personally I hope it is just the Kassius Ohno persona being retired.

I do like Chris Hero so I hope he isn't permanently retired... unless it's something that is good for his health or personally or something. I don't want to wish for someone to continue entertaining me at the expense of their health or family or whatever. I'm sure a lot of unsigned wrestlers are thinking over their careers right now.

At this point, I could totally see Hero retiring. I love the guy but at his age and with all the wear and tear, he might be thinking its time to take off for a while.

Sad if true. I think the big speculation is that he was furloughed, not fired. If that's the case. Hopefully there's enough time for him to do a small retirement tour. Kinda shocked they furloughed him given how talented and knowledgeable he is. Same could be said for most of the producers they fired/furloughed.

He just put up some new designs on Pro Wrestling Tees that make it seem like Chris Hero will continue wrestling.

Maybe that just meant Ohno. Hero is alive and well.

Yep, from the looks of the video he posted Ohno is done, but Hero is back.
