I am not one to complain about shows sucking - but damn, what the hell was that main event?

Listen I am the last guy to be defending WWE modern day product but how many times has that happened to us when something crazy happens in the main event like that ...

That was a pretty big embarrassment. Lots of illogical things going on in that main event. Also sad that I was just wanting the show to get over so the undertaker special would come on.

Money in the Bank is usually one of my favorite PPV matches so I was disappointed in the large amount of comedy in the main event. I did laugh though at the beginning when Asuka jumped off the balcony and then danced both to and inside the elevator because it also made sense as the objective is to get to the roof. I am not sure why she got off the elevator though, apparently that elevator does not go to or even close to the roof?
But overall I did not care for much of the fighting and the comedy inside the building, especially when one of my favorite matches of Money in the Bank turned into a food fight with the participants throwing food at each other. I was hoping for more action in the ring on top of the roof (and less in the gym and cafeteria) than we saw and because they had two Money in the Bank PPV matches going simultaneously the PPV was only about 2 1/2 hours.
Those was my two least favorite Money in the Bank matches ever.
I did however really like the match between Drew Galloway and Seth Rollins.
Overall I give this show a grade of C (I also liked the preshow match between Jeff Hardy and Cesaro) and that is probably being generous. Hopefully next month Backlash, which occurs on my birthday, will be a better PPV. Also looking forward to watching online Double or Nothing on May 25th.

Hearing there was a lot of comedy in the main event makes me think of TNA/Impact's ONO specials. I liked them because often they were not taken serious, had talent show a different side of their personalities all while not being part of canon. That way you have serious stuff with a splattering of comedy in normal shows and PPV and can go a bit more over the top in ONO ppvs.

I don't mind the comedy and don't think it would've been so light-hearted. I honestly believe the WWE is just doing the best they can considering the circumstances. And with things being so crappy at the moment, i'll take some extra humor. A little surprised Otis won. I think he has potential, but they need to let him grow as a personality instead of just focusing on his weight and eating.
Also, I enjoyed Strowman/Wyatt. Wyatt seems to be able to hold his own against Strowman, and once the Fiend enters play, it could get really interesting.

Honestly, I was surprised to hear all the negative backlash against Money in the Bank. Our whole family watched it and we were laughing throughout. I personally was expecting a bunch of comedy, especially with Otis in it.
We started late and skipped through much of the rest of the show, with the exception of Braun vs. Bray, which was a good story.

For example, GCW's recent Social Distancing match between Joey Janela and Jimmy Llloyd where they had to stay 6 feet apart from each other and they were wiping down chairs with disinfectant before smashing each other on the head with them was hilarious. The Invisible Man stuff in GCW was great. On NWA Powerrr, I enjoy watching Aron Stevens and The Question Mark. IMO the WWE at times has good comedy too as I liked Bryan Daniels' heel character last year which I thought was partly comedic and I often personally like Asuka's antics even though I know some people find her annoying. Although I did not pick her to win, Asuka would have been my 2nd prediction and I look forward to seeing her with the briefcase on upcoming RAWs. I just did not think most of the particular comedy from last night was very good or funny. I can overlook things like Vince McMahon doing paperwork in his office during a PPV but things like food fights and pie to the face do not cause me to laugh and have been overdone in wrestling. I did laugh at the beginning when Asuka took down all the other woman and then got in the elevator and was dancing. I was thinking this is good, the women will fight on the roof while the men fight throughout the building and then when the women are done the men will be on the roof, but for some reason (perhaps I missed something) Asuka got off the elevator before getting to the roof.

I didn’t watch but I’m very happy Otis won. He’s that 80’s type of wrestler I think the current product misses badly. I want to see WWE run a program where it’s revealed that Otis grew up a Hulkamaniac. Have Hulk Hogan take him under his wing. Do videos of them training together, eating their vitamins and drinking milk. Slowly Otis actually becomes Hogan. Depending on the fan reaction you get a monster face if it’s positive or a big heel turn where something goes awry. Maybe Otis takes it too far and accidentally becomes Hollywood Otis, starts up a New World Otis gimmick and ends up turning in Hogan. I think he can be a top guy for awhile heel or face w the right story.
