So I'm trying to remember my Galaticon memories here and might be a little fuzzy ...
- my first one I attended with friends from high school that I had got to play the game. I want to say 1997 or 1998 and I want to say it was the year of the Greg Valentine or Brutus Beefcake card and I want to say Greg was supposed to appear but didnt. I played in one tournament where you drew your wrestler. I remember the guy I got I liked but knew I wasnt winning (it might have been Lance AtLas). I remember beating Tom in the tournament and then playing a long crazy match with Mark Ashby where we realized we both had the same birthdate. Mark one and may have gone on to win tournament or lose to the winner.
- the second one I think was 2002 and I literally came down said hi and picked up my stuff on a Saturday.
- the last one I went to I remember was the Sly Drury is Iron Hand reveal. I remember all of the Chuck Carter drawing a new character segment and even remember Grant filming it as I was filming it next to him. No idea where my film went to but I remember filming a lot of that Galacticon. Hmm ... it looks gloomy outside perhaps I need another dive into the attic.

I remember the Iron Hand reveal as well as that crazy game they based on Dead Ringer. Memories...could write a book from all the stuff that's happened good and bad. The best though are the great amount of cool people I've met several who I consider good friends. Others I know more casually but almost everyone has been great. If it's 97, it was Valentine. Beefcake wouldn't be released until LOW was a thing....he and Bagwell came out about the same time and I think it was just before Hardcore or the same time.....been a while. Actually, something to do would be doing a gathering of Galacticon Memories to celebrate it next year since we're doing online this year.

If it's 97, it was Valentine. Beefcake wouldn't be released until LOW was a thing....he and Bagwell came out about the same time and I think it was just before Hardcore or the same time.....been a while. Beefcake and Bagwell were first released I believe Summer 2004 (was that the same time Early Classics was released?,) it was definitely a little prior to Legends Hardcore being released in December 2004. I have been to the last 5 Galacticons (2015-2019) and I think my favorite Galacticon was 2015 in Cleveland. For me, 3 live wrestling shows (AIW, CZW Dojo Wars, and the Saturday night show Tournament Master booked with Moose, Eddie Kingston, Madison Rayne, Dalton Castle, OI4K, Nation of Intoxication, Paul London, and so many other good names) at the hotel we stayed at is hard to beat. I remember picking up Greg Valentine at the airport and talking to him about his career and about Seattle (we are both originally from Seattle.) Also, although I had met many people such as Tom, Tournament Master, Swarm, Jim Steel, Jack/Louden Noxious, and JMello before over the years, 2015 in Cleveland was the first time I met Osk, Troy, and some others here on the board. It was also my first time going to Cleveland. I flew in Wednesday night and, since Galacticon did not start until Friday, I spent Thursday in downtown Cleveland and went to the Rock N Roll Hall of Fame and to a Yankees-Indians game. Of the 5 Galacticons I have attended, they were all great. I would probably list them in this order: 1. 2015 in Cleveland (see above comments) 2. 2019 in Philadelphia (great setup with Galacticon taking place right across the parking lot from the hotel, I met WWE Champion Drew Galloway at the Friday night AA baseball game, went to 3 wrestling shows (CHIKARA at the AA ballpark in Reading after the game, EVOLVE's 10th Anniversary show at the ECW Arena, WWE Extreme Rules 2019 PPV on Sunday night,) won the trivia contest with MikeM as my tag partner (although MikeM did all the work lol,) afterward flew to Minnesota- Twins ballpark, dinner at a pour your own beer brewery with Cory Olson, Juicy Lucys lunch with Cman and Pikemojo, Mall of America was interesting too) 3. 2016 in Philadelphia (first time meeting MikeM in person, first time meeting Whlineup in person, first time going to a show- ROH TV tapings- at the ECW Arena, flying out to St. Louis afterward for a day and seeing The Gateway Arch, Old Courthouse, touring Budweiser, going to a Cardinals game, St. Louis BBQ.) 4. 2018 in Pittsburgh (Pittsburgh is my favorite city of all the cities to host Glacticon- although I do like this year's original host city and next year's host city Chicago even better. This might be higher on my list if I did not have to miss that Friday night. In addition to Galacticon, it was cool going to the IWC show in Piitsburgh on Saturday night with dinner at Primanti Bros. afterward and then going to Extreme Rules 2018 on Sunday night. The Monday afterward I toured Heinz Field- the home of the Pittsburgh Steelers.) 5. 2017 in Jamestown. (Cool to see where Galacticon started. I had wings for lunch at Duffs on Friday in Buffalo with Tim Dalton and J. First time meeting MHardcore, KB, and some others. Somehow I got to the finals of the Trivia contest by myself. I might have this ranked higher if I could have combined it with anther trip as I often do (i.e. also going to St.Louis in 2016, also going to Minneapolis in 2019) but I had to be back at work for Summer School that Monday morning.

3 quick G-Con "best memories"
1. The after hours bonfire in Tom's backyard for the Inner Circle. 2. The haunted Sheldon House basement 3. The 74 hour drive with Swarm and crazy ex-gf in his jeep. Trip should have taken us 5 hours somehow took us about 12.
