LEGENDS OF WRESTLING CARD 1 WORLD HEAVYWEIGHT TITLE TOURNAMENT CIVIC CENTER HARTFORD, CT
FIRST ROUND
Frank Gotch vs. Bobo Brazil Gotch absorbed a lot of punishment from the stronger Brazil, but Gotch proved to be more crafty and made Brazil submit to the GOTCH TOE HOLD
Randy ‘Macho Man’ Savage w/Sensational Sherri Martel vs. Big Van Vader This match was an all out brawl and ended in a double count out.
Harley Race vs. The Sheik w/Abdullah Farouk Race was a bloody mess after a Sheik bite to the forehead. The ref stopped the match because of the blood and after having the ringside doctor check the wound, awarded the match to The Sheik
Lou Thesz vs. Larry Zbyszko Most of Zbyszko’s damage was done outside the ring and after removing the turnbuckle pad. Thesz endured, but it wasn’t enough as Zbyszko put him away with a PILEDRIVER.
SEMIFINALS
Frank Gotch received a bye.
The Sheik w/Abdullah Farouk vs. Larry Zbyszko Zbyszko threw everything he had at The Sheik, The Sheik kept coming, even after being busted open on a turnbuckle that had the pad removed. Zbyszko looked like he was finally going to get the victory after a neckbreaker, but Farouk jumped up on the ring apron, distracting Zbyszko and the ref. The Sheik nailed Zbyszko with a FIREBALL while the ref was distracted then easily made the pin. Zbyszko was escorted from the ring by the ringside doctor.
FINAL
Frank Gotch vs. The Sheik w/Abdullah Farouk The Sheik was still a bloody mess when this match started. After a brief scuffle outside the ring, Gotch delivered a neckbreaker and made the pin to become the first LOW World Heavyweight Champion.

LEGENDS OF WRESTLING CARD 2 NATIONAL TITLE TOURNAMENT UNION CENTER SCRANTON, PA
FIRST ROUND
Randy ‘Macho Man’ Savage w/Sensational Sherri Martel vs. Diamond Dallas Page This match broke down outside the ring and both men were counted out.
‘Ravishing’ Rick Rude w/Bobby ‘The Brain’ Heenan vs. Magnum T.A. It really looked like Magnum was going to pull this one out, but some well timed interference by Heenan led to Rude getting the victory with a RUDE AWAKENING.
Bobo Brazil vs. Barry Windham w/J.J. Dillon This was a wild brawl that took place mainly outside the ring. In one of those ringside brawls, Brazil injured Windham’s arm by hitting him with a chair. Brazil continued to work the arm over until he made Windham submit to a grinding hammerlock.
The Sheik w/Abdullah Farouk vs. ‘Million Dollar Man’ Ted Dibiase w/Virgil The Sheik was still sporting a bandage on his forehead after what happened in the World Title Tournament. DiBiase started out the match by pulling out a wad of cash and peeling off bills in an attempt to pay off The Sheik. DiBiase gave The Sheik five $100 bills, which The Sheik promptly put in his mouth, chewed on then spit in the face of DiBiase. This match quickly became a wild, back and forth brawl. The ending came quickly as The Sheik landed an elbow drop and made a quick pin.
SEMIFINALS
‘Ravishing’ Rick Rude w/Bobby ‘The Brain’ Heenan received a bye.
Bobo Brazil vs. The Sheik These two heated rivals didn’t waste any time in going after each other. This was a rough match as both men pounded on each other, but The Sheik got a little carried away and was disqualified after he hit Brazil with a chair.
FINAL
‘Ravishing’ Rick Rude w/Bobby ‘The Brain’ Heenan vs. Bobo Brazil Rude gained the early advantage and never looked back, beating Brazil with the RUDE AWAKENING to become the first LOW National Champion.

LEGENDS OF WRESTLING CARD 3 WORLD TAG TEAM TITLE TOURNAMENT AGRICULTURAL HALL ALLENTOWN, PA
FIRST ROUND
Road Warriors (Hawk & Animal) w/‘Precious’ Paul Ellering vs. Dutch Savage & Jimmy ‘Superfly’ Snuka There were definitely lots of tags in this one as both teams tried to stay on the offensive. Hawk pinned Savage after the DOOMSDAY DEVICE.
Rock ‘N’ Roll Express (Ricky Morton & Robert Gibson) vs. The Horsemen (Tully Blanchard & CW Anderson) w/J.J. Dillon Morton surprised Blanchard with a CROSSBODY BLOCK and got the pin.
Midnight Express (‘Loverboy’ Dennis Condrey & ‘Beautiful’ Bobby Eaton) w/Jim Cornette vs. Miracle Violence Connection (Steve ‘Dr. Death’ Williams & Terry ‘Bamm Bamm’ Gordy) The strength of MVC was clearly on display during this match as they tossed their opponents around the ring like rag dolls. ME endured and eventually managed to gain the advantage. Eaton pinned Gordy after a MIDNIGHT MASSACRE.
Bruiser Brody & Stan Hansen vs. Fabulous Kangaroos (Al Costello & Roy Heffernan) w/‘Wild’ Red Berry This match saw more rough house tactics from the bigger and stronger of the two teams. It was all the Roos could do to stave off the attack. It got to the point where Heffernan felt compelled to use a chair on Hansen, which resulted in Heffernan being disqualified.
SEMIFINALS
Road Warriors (Hawk & Animal) w/‘Precious’ Paul Ellering vs. Rock ‘N’ Roll Express (Ricky Morton & Robert Gibson) A classic rivalry renewed. The Roadies used their power to their advantage and had Morton in a bad way after a DOOMSDAY DEVICE, but Gibson interrupted the pin attempt. Morton managed to make the tag and the match continued until the Road Warriors caught Gibson with the DOOMSDAY DEVICE and Animal made the pin.
Midnight Express (‘Loverboy’ Dennis Condrey & ‘Beautiful’ Bobby Eaton) w/Jim Cornette vs. Bruiser Brody & Stan Hansen The Midnights matched up against another powerful team, but the result was the same. Condrey rolled up Hansen after Hansen missed a clothesline in the corner.
FINAL
Road Warriors (Hawk & Animal) w/‘Precious’ Paul Ellering vs. Midnight Express (‘Loverboy’ Dennis Condrey & ‘Beautiful’ Bobby Eaton) w/Jim Cornette This was the most brutal, competitive match of the tournament. All four men were busted open and both managers got involved. The end came when Eaton pinned Animal after an ALABAMA JAM to become the first LOW World Tag Team Champions.

LEGENDS OF WRESTLING CARD 4 WORLD LIGHT HEAVYWEIGHT TITLE TOURNAMENT BREAKAWAY AKRON, OH
FIRST ROUND
Danny Hodge vs. Super Crazy Hodge dominated the match and beat Crazy with an OKLAHOMA SIDE ROLL.
John Pesek vs. Jerry Lynn Lynn quickly beat Pesek with a CRADLE PILEDRIVER.
Johnny Saint vs. Juventud Guerrera Saint tried for an early victory, but Juvy wasn’t about to let that happen. From there both men took each other to task, matching move for move and counter for counter. Saint was finally able to lock in the THREE-IN-ONE and made Guerrera submit.
Jushin ‘Thunder’ Liger vs. Mike Graham Graham became frustrated in not being able to put Liger away and when the action spilled out of the ring, Graham bashed Liger with a chair. The ref promptly disqualified Graham.
SEMIFINALS
Danny Hodge vs. Jerry Lynn Lynn took the action out of the ring, where he dominated. Hodge battled back using a chair. Both men continued to battle inside and outside the ring until Hodge pinned Lynn with an OKLAHOMA SIDE ROLL.
Johnny Saint vs. Jushin ‘Thunder’ Liger Saint showed some fatigue from his prior match and looked to get a quick victory. That wasn’t to be and Liger put Saint away with a LIGER BOMB.
FINAL
Danny Hodge vs. Jushin ‘Thunder’ Liger Hodge took a real beating in his semifinal match and was careful in the early going, waiting for an opening. Hodge finally found it and pinned Liger with an OKLAHOMA SIDE ROLL to become the first LOW World Junior Heavyweight Champion.

LEGENDS OF WRESTLING CARD 5 WORLD WOMEN'S TITLE TOURNAMENT BOSTON GARDEN BOSTON, MA
FIRST ROUND
Fabulous Moolah vs. Melina Melina held her own with the wily veteran, but Moolah’s experience proved to be the difference in the end when Moolah pinned Melina with a JACKKNIFE CRADLE.
Candi Devine vs. Jazz Both ladies brawled back and forth for the entire match, but it was Jazz getting the victory, making Devine submit to an STF.
Joyce Grable vs. Rockin’ Robin Robin beat Grable with a BULLDOG.
April Hunter vs. ‘Sensational’ Sherri Martel Martel dominated the first part of the match, but Hunter recovered. The action spilled out of the ring and that’s where Hunter did her damage, delivering a DDT on the floor. Hunter rolled Martel back in the ring and made the easy pin.
SEMIFINALS
Fabulous Moolah vs. Jazz Moolah was able to match strength with Jazz, even though Jazz held the slight advantage. It didn’t seem to make a difference as Moolah pinned Jazz with a BODY PRESS.
Rockin’ Robin vs. April Hunter Hunter had a decided strength advantage, but Robin had no problem and beat Hunter with a TOP ROPE BULLDOG.
FINAL
Fabulous Moolah vs. Rockin’ Robin Robin held her own as the match went back and forth until Moolah pinned Robin with a JACKKNIFE CRADLE to become the first LOW World Women’s Champion.

LEGENDS OF WRESTLING CARD 6 CHASE PARK HOTEL ST. LOUIS, MO
PN News vs. CW Anderson w/JJ Dillon This was a very competitive opening contest that ended in a bit of controversy. News had Anderson covered for the pin when Dillon entered the ring, causing a distraction. Unbeknownst to the ref or News, Dillon slipped Anderson a pair of brass knuckles, which Anderson promptly used when News turned around. News kicked out of the pin attempt, but Anderson followed up with a SPINEBUSTER
The Fantastics (Bobby Fulton & Tommy Rogers) vs. La Familia (Konnan & Juventud Guerrera) A fast paced tempo suited both teams as Guerrera pinned Rogers following a hurricanrana.
Don Leo Jonathan vs. Giant Bernard These two behemoths tore into each other as soon as the bell sounded. Jonathan got a little carried away and slammed Bernard through a ringside table, prompting the referee to call for the disqualification.
Rockin’ Robin vs. Tina Moretti Moretti missed a turnbuckle charge and Robin followed up with a BULLDOG to get the victory.
Jushin ‘Thunder’ Liger vs. Lash Leroux [iAfter a brief back and forth battle Liger made Leroux submit to a hanging surfboard.[/i]
Road Warriors (Hawk & Animal) w/‘Precious’ Paul Ellering vs. 2 Cold Scorpio & Marcus Alexander Bagwell The Road Warriors easily overpowered their opponents and Animal made Bagwell submit to a camel clutch.
The Sheik w/Abdullah Farouk vs. Dutch Savage This match was an all out donnybrook from the opening bell. Most of the action took place outside the ring, where both men brawled and exchanged chair shots. Ultimately, the ref lost control while both men were brawling and just counted both men out.
Bobo Brazil vs. Bruiser Brody Early in the match Brody attempted a move from the top turnbuckle and inadvertently collided with the referee. While the referee was down this rough match got even rougher as both men brawled outside the ring. Brody decked Brazil with a metal pipe, but it was Brody who was busted open after repeated COCO BUTTS. The brawl continued and Brody was relentless, but when the action once again spilled out of the ring, Brazil slammed Brody through a ringside table and the ref called for the disqualification.

LEGENDS OF WRESTLING CARD 7 CIVIC ARENA PITTSBURGH, PA
Steve Regal vs. Juventud Guerrera Guerrera used an up tempo style to counter Regal’s ground based attack. The strategy worked as Guerrera beat Regal with a springboard dropkick.
Nora Greenwald vs. Melina Melina had the early advantage, but Greenwald countered and quickly gained the victory with a FLIPPING SEATED SENTON.
Larry Zbyszko vs. Steve ‘Dr. Death’ Williams Zbyszko did some major damage to Williams back before making him submit to a Boston crab.
Ox Baker w/Abdullah Farouk vs. Magnum T.A. Both men battled back and forth until Baker caught Magnum with a HEART PUNCH and made the pin. Magnum didn’t move following the match and had to be removed from the ring on a stretcher.
Bruiser Brody & Stan Hansen vs. Fabulous Kangaroos (Al Costello & Roy Heffernan) w/‘Wild’ Red Berry Brody and Hansen over powered the Roos early, but the Roos battled back and delivered the BOOMERANG. Costello attempted to pin Hansen, but Brody came storming into the ring. Heffernan came into the ring as well and a wild brawl erupted. The ref regained order and the Roos maintained the advantage. They hit Hansen with another BOOMERANG and Costello was able to pin Hansen.
Johnny Saint vs. Brian Kendrick In a spirited match where Saint schooled Kendrick, Saint pinned Kendrick after The Russ Abbot.
April Hunter vs. Alere Little Feather This was a quick victory by Hunter with THE HEAD HUNTER.
Hugh Morrus vs. ‘Ravishing’ Rick Rude w/Bobby ‘The Brain’ Heenan Rude dominated the early going, but Morrus recovered. The action continued back and forth until Rude beat Morrus with a RUDE AWAKENING.

LEGENDS OF WRESTLING CARD 8 CAPITAL CENTER LANDOVER, MD
‘Rowdy’ Roddy Piper vs. The Missing Link w/Bobby ‘The Brain’ Heenan This was a wild, back and forth brawl from the opening bell. Piper nearly had Link out with a SLEEPER when Heenan caused a distraction. Link was able to recover and go on the offensive. The ref ended up taking a bump during the match as well and Piper capitalized by initiating a brutal attack outside the ring. As the ref recovered Piper bashed Link with a chair and rolled Link back into the ring. The ref cleared the cobwebs and counted the pin.
Rock ‘N’ Roll Express (Ricky Morton & Robert Gibson) vs. Killer Bees (B. Brian Blair & ‘Jumpin’ Jim Brunzell) This was a great back and forth match with both teams executing multiple tags. Morton pinned Brunzell after a hurricanrana.
Lash Leroux vs. Steve Regal Regal made Leroux submit to the FT. LAUDERDALE LEGLOCK.
Jazz vs. Candi Devine Jazz brutalized Devine throughout the match, but it was Devine who came out on top with a CROSS BODY BLOCK.
Bruiser Brody vs. CW Anderson w/JJ Dillon Brody was disqualified when he hit Anderson with a chair.

Larry Zbyszko vs. ‘Ravishing’ Rick Rude w/Bobby ‘The Brain’ Heenan Rude did his schtick, which elicited jeers from the crowd and actually caused them to cheer for Zbyszko when he came to the ring. Zbyszko maintained the advantage for most of the match before Heenan got involved. Zbyszko had Rude down for the pin after delivering a powerslam outside the ring. Heenan caused the distraction and allowed Rude to get back into the match. Zbyszko battled back and beat Rude with a spinning back kick.
