I am Jack LaHart and this is HOLLYWOOD HITS and I'm pleased to announce that the first ever show from the CALIFORNIA WRESTLING promotion is around the corner and that show is OFF THE ROPES 1/1. This new wrestling promotion is just beginning and everything is new, so what we do know about the first show is that a 8 wrestler tournament will begin to crown the first ever WORLD TELEVISION CHAMPION... Some of the names that you'll see with CALIFORNIA WRESTLING are "Mr.Electricity" Steve Regal, Magnum T.A. and Butcher Vachon, plus the growth of the roster will move forward from this intitial roster line-up. I spoke with Officials from the CW promotion and they talked about having Special Events at the end of each quarter and they will announce the first one for this quarter very soon, plus the crowning of the WORLD TELEVISION CHAMPIONSHIP will happen at that event I'm sure... Before I leave you, I spoke with both Magnum T.A.-n-"Mr.Electricity" Steve Regal about joining the CALIFORNIA WRESTLING promotion and wrestling for the WORLD TELEVISION CHAMPIONSHIP. "Mr.Electricity" Steve Regal stated that he is the uncrowned WORLD TELEVISION CHAMPION and that he will be crowned by time the tournament is over and then Magnum T.A. talked about how it is a honor to be part of a new promotion and that his focus will be on winning the title... - CALIFORNIA WRESTLING broadcasted World Wide on the Sunball Sports Network -

 1/1 The SunBall Studios - Pasadena, California"Welcome to Pasadena, California you are tuning into CALIFORNIA WRESTLING the State of Action..." This broadcast begins with Tom Sale welcoming one and all to the first ever CALIFORNIA WRESTLING OFF THE ROPES broadcast, then he unvails the WORLD TELEVISION CHAMPIONSHIP belt. The studio crowd Oohh-n-Aahhss, then when Sale is about to talk about the upcoming tournament we see "Mr.Electricity" Steve Regal walk out. Regal demands that he is crowned the champion and that the tournament needs not to happen, then the crowd pops with cheers when Nick Bockwinkel walks out... We hear from Nick Bockwinkel (who has the support of the California studio crowd) and he agrees with Regal that the tournament should not happen and that both he (Bockwinkel) and Regal should face off and see who'll be the champion, which draws more Oohhss-n-Aahhss from the crowd. Then walking out and getting a huge pop is Teddy Long the Commissioner of CALIFORNIA WRESTLING agrees with Nick Bockwinkel and our opening fight will be for the WORLD TELEVISION CHAMPIONSHIP... *WORLD TELEVISION CHAMPIONSHIP MATCH*NICK BOCKWINKEL over "Mr.Electricity" Steve Regal (Knee smash to back)During that opening fight we saw Nick Bockwinkel lock in his BOCKWINKEL SLEEPER finisher, but Regal survived it to only lose the match in the end. The crowd were on their feet for the victory by Bockwinkel and Teddy Long enters the ring and awards the belt to Bockwinkel, who then puts it around his waist. We now goto a commercial break for a BOLD COLA commercial, then we are back with Brad Armstrong facing Butcher Vachon... BUTCHER VACHON over Brad Armstrong (Chair shot DQ)It was a good back-n-forth fight between those two wrestlers, but Armstrong lost his cool and the disqualification takes place outsie the ring where Brad used a Chair on Vachon and Vachon wins the fight. What we witnessed next suprised most everyone and that is when JJ Dillon appears and he grabs Butcher Vachon by the arm and both men walk to the backstage area and Tom Sale ponders on what that was all about. We now see Magnum T.A. walk out and then following him is Justin Credible and our final match of the night is under way... MAGNUM T.A. over Justin Credible (Interference DQ)It was another shocker when the Masked Superstar appears and when Magnum T.A. had the victory in hand, Superstar strikes with a Superstar Clothesline and Magnum T.A. ends up winning by disqualification. This broadcast of CALIFORNIA WRESTLING OFF THE ROPES ends in a wild fashion when Justin Credile attacks Magnum and you could tell Magnum had been injured, plus the crowd pops when Red Bastien charges out and stops any further damage by the tandem of the Masked Superstar and Justin Credible... RED BASTIEN-N-MAGNUM T.A. over Justin Credible-n-Masked Superstar
(MAGNUM T.A. over Masked Superstar/BELLY TO BELLY SUPLEX)Justin Credible at one point in the match saved his tag team partner by interfering when the Masked Superstar was about to lose the match, but the end came for the Masked Superstar when Magnum delivered his finisher back-to-back for the victory. After their win, both Red Bastien-n-Magnum T.A. joined Tom Sale near ringside and they talked about how they are focused on defending against heels like Credible-n-Superstar, which draws loud cheers from the studio crowd... BRAD ARMSTRONG over "Mr.Electricity" Steve Regal (RUSSIAN LEG SWEEP)"Mr.Electricity" Steve Regal was the better wrestler in our second match of the night, but Brad Armstrong took the upper hand and he wins the match with his finisher. We now see Nick Bockwinkel walk out and he tells Tom Sale that in a few weeks he will be defending his WORLD TELEVISION CHAMPIONSHIP and that he will continue on as the defending champion after that defense, which draws cheers of support from the crowd... JOHNNY MANTELL over Butcher Vachon w/JJ Dillon (forearm uppercut)Our final match of the night saw the debut of Johnny Mantell who faced off with Butcher Vachon and Vachon had JJ Dillon in his corner and it was Dillon who attempted to distract the referee, but failed to and in the end Johnny Mantell earns himself the victory.
