GUEST #1: The Mountie with Sherri Martel
The Mountie came out to be interviewed along with Sherri Martel. The moment they were introduced though, The Missing Link came barreling from backstage and attacked The Mountie. The two brawled all over the studio until security were able to seperate them! Not much of an interview!
GUEST #2: WORLD HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPION "Ravishing" Rick Rude with Bobby "The Brain" Heenan
After a commercial break, order was restored and Bill Apter welcomed out WORLD HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPION "Ravishing" Rick Rude along with his manager Bobby "The Brain" Heenan. Both men were bragging about Rude's victory at IDES OF MARCH when suddenly the interview was interrupted by THE IRON SHIEK! He came out and ran down Rude, calling him a worthless champion. The two started brawling and Heenan called out Mr. Perfect who gave Rude the upper hand and he hit the RUDE AWAKENING on the Iron Sheik on Apter's desk! The Shiek was knocked out cold as Rude, Heenan and Perfect stood over the Sheik laughing as the studio audience booed loudly.

MAIN EVENT
One Man Gang d. Andre The Giant via DQ when Andre refused to stop brawling. - DUD - Andre hit the ring and refused to let up on One Man Gang! The two continued brawling as the show went off the air!

I enjoyed the recent action, especially the building rivalries between Andre-OMG and The Mountie-Missing Like. Also, how can one not love a big night of action at the Olympic Auditorium? Rick Rude looked good retaining the world title over Jimmy Snuka at the Olympic.

MATCH#1
THE BOLSHEVIKS d. MILLION DOLLAR CORPORATION via pinfall in a HUGE upset! - SQUASH - Right after the opening bell, Volkoff dropped Virgil throat first on the top rope and then got the pin! DiBiase and Sherri Martel were LIVID!
MATCH #2
King Harley Race d. Cousin Luke via pinfall after a PILEDRIVER. - *** - Luke actually gave the King a run for his money! This feud between Heenan's Family and The Hillbillies is far from over!
MATCH #3
MIDNIGHT EXPRESS d. THE BUSHWHACKERS via DQ when Bushwhacker Luke whipped Bobby Eaton into the guardrails against the ref's warnings. - DUD - Not much here. MIDNIGHT EXPRESS came to wrestle, THE BUSHWHACKERS just came to brawl!
Before our next match, The Mountie and Sherri Martel came out to ringside and demanded that Commissioner Patrick do something about the wild antics of The Missing Link. Commissioner Patrick came out and agreed and announced that if The Missing Link got DQ'd during this match, he'd be suspended for 3 cards, which would put him out of Wrestlemania III! The Mountie and Sherri looked quite pleased at this ruling.
MATCH #4
The Missing Link d. The Mountie by DQ when The Mountie used his SHOCK STICK. - ** - The fans HATED this and booed loudly! Link had actually behaved quite well. However immediately after the bell rang, Commissioner Patrick returned and announced that the two would fight again next show and this time if The Mountie go DQ'd, HE'D be suspended! The crowd ate this up!
BILL APTER'S HOT SEAT
First out were WORLD TAG TEAM CHAMPIONS THE ROAD WARRIOR and Paul Ellering! They weren't out long when DiBiase and Virgil came out to demand a rematch against THE BOLSHEVIKS from earlier! Animal and Hawk didn't take kindly to the interruption and a huge brawl broke out! Security had to come separate the four men! Is this an accidental feud or something the Million Dollar Corporation did to put them in the title hunt? Guess we'll find out.
After a break we were back with Apter's next guest, Hillbilly Jim! Apter asked about him injuring King Kong Bundy and Jim said while he didn't like 'putting guys out' as he thinks 'that's tactics the Heenan Family would use,' he said he will fight fire with fire! Just then Mr. Perfect came on set saying he'd gladly prove what kind of tactics the Heenan Family uses and challenged Hillbilly Jim to a match one on one next time. Jim said, "Why wait!" and the two started brawling! Security finally got them separated and they were yelling at each other as we...

MATCH #1
Magnificent Muraco d. Mister X via pinfall with the HAWAIIAN HAMMER - SQUASH - As Muraco celebrated, a hooded figure jumped the ring apron and attacked both Muraco and Fuji! Security swarmed the ring, but the figure escaped back into the crowd! Muraco and Fuji were furious.
MATCH #2
Hacksaw Jim Duggan d. S.D. Jones via pin with a piledriver. - *** - Great match between these two. It could have gone either way, but Duggan picked up the win. The two shook hands afterwards.
MATCH #3
MIDNIGHT EXPRESS d. THE BUSHWHACKERS via pinfall when Bobby Eaton hit Bushwhacker Luke with the VEG-O-MATIC. - **3/4 - Eaton and Lane were in control almost the whole match. Using their technical skills to defeat the unpredictability of Luke and Butch!
Before our next match, the big return match between The Mountie and Missing Link, Albano was leading his charge to the ring when he was stopped by a messenger. The messenger told him that there was a delivery at the back of the studio for him. Albano said it'd have to wait but the messenger said it couldn't. Albano pointed Link to the ring for his match and said he'd be out in a second! So, unaided, Missing Link headed ringside!
MATCH #4
RETURN BOUT
(If The Mountie is DQ'd, he is suspended for three cards!)
The Mountie d. Missing Link via DQ when Link slammed The Mountie into the guardrails. - *** - After the bell, Sherri scratched Link with her nails down his back! He started stalking her and she climbed up into the ring. Link was about to grab her when the recovered Mounti, clobbered Link with his Shock Stick! He was about to use the deadly instrument on Link when Albano ran to ringside and grabbed a mic! He said he thought the delivery in the back was for him, but it turns out it was for The Mountie! He waved towards the back and George "The Animal" Steele came charging to ringside! The Mountie and Sherri turned white and fled immediately into the crowd and out of the studio! Steele then helped Link up and the two raised their hands! Then Steele ate a turnbuckle! Looks like The Animal is back to get his vengeance on The Mountie!
BILL APTER'S HOT SEAT
Andre The Giant came out to the cheers of the crowd! He said that the bad blood between him and One Man Gang was far from over. This brought out One Man Gang and Sir Oliver Humperdink! Gang said he was the true 'big man' of Golden State Wrestling and challenged Andre to a Street Fight at Wrestlemania IV! Andre agreed and reached out a hand to seal the deal! The One Man Gang went to shake it and then decked Andre and he and Humperdink fled the interview area! Andre laughed off the punch and said he'd get his revenge at Wrestlemania!
After the commercial break, Apter welcomed Jimmy 'Superfly' Snuka to his show! Snuka dropped a huge announcement saying he was now going to join The Hillbillies in their fight against The Heenan Family! He called it the 'War On The Weasel' and said he'd be accompanying Hillbilly Jim to the ring tonight for his main event match against Mr. Perfect! While he spoke, King Harley Race came out of nowhere and clobbered Snuka with his crown! Snuka stood and turned around and Race had bailed. Snuka promised he and The Hillbillies would be victorious in their war!
MATCH #5
MAIN EVENT
Mr. Perfect d. Hillbilly Jim via pinfall after Perfect performed a noggin knocker on Hillbilly Jim and Jimmy Snuka who'd hopped up on the ring to warn the ref about Heenan's shenanigans at ringside. - ** - Heenan and Perfect headed to the back, laughing, after the bell. Snuka was very apologetic for costing Jim the match, but the two shook hands to the cheers of the crowd as we...

PROUDLY PRESENTS CARD 1983.074 Live from Golden State Wrestling Studios, Burbank, CA! Commissioner Patrick welcomed everyone to the final Monday Night Mayhem before WRESTLEMANIA IV and, in a huge surprise announced that this would be the final Monday Night Mayhem! The show is spinning off into two separate shows Wrestling Superstars, airing on Saturday mornings, and Wrestling Challenge, airing on Sunday mornings! Same great action, new name!
MATCH #1
George "The Animal" Steele d. Mister X via submission with the FLYING HAMMERLOCK. - SQUASH - Steele looked to be in fine, and quite terrifying, form tonight! After the match, Captain Lou said Steele's focus right now is revenge on The Mountie! So he issued a challenge for a match between George Steele and The Mountie at Wrestlemania IV in a steel cage! The fans went nuts!
MATCH #2
THE KILLER BEES d. THE DREAM TEAM via pinfall when B. Brian Blair pinned Brutus Beefcake after the BEE STING. - *1/2 - Decent match here with the BEES in control for the most of it.
MATCH #3
"Hacksaw" Jim Duggan d. Cowboy Bob Orton via pinfall after a FLYING SPEAR. - SQUASH - Huge win here for Duggan! Shocked everyone including Orton and Humperdink! Duggan celebrated by running around the ring with his 2 x 4 and shouting his trademark, "Hoooooooo!"
Next out were THE BOLSHEVIKS and Volkoff demanded all rise for the Russian National Anthem! He'd only got a few bars into it when THE BUSHWHACKERS charged the ring and attacked! This was a scheduled match, so the bell was rung!
MATCH #4
THE BUSHWHACKERS d. THE BOLSHEVIKS via pinfall when Bushwhacker Luke pinned Boris Zukhov after a DOUBLE GUTBUSTER. - *1/2 - THE BOLSHEVIKS were furious after this loss and demanded the match be restarted. The ref ignored their complaints.
MATCH #5
S.D. Jones d. Iron Sheik via pinfall after a series of repeated HEAD BUTTS. - ** - Huge win here for Jones picking up a victory over the current #1 contender! After the match, Jones grabbed the mic and demanded to be the one to face Rude at Wrestlemania. Commissioner Patrick came out and said Sheik would still get his shot but if Sheik wins the belt, Jones would be the first challenger. Jones was not happy!
BILL APTER'S HOT SEAT
Bill's first guest was Magnificent Muraco and Mr. Fuji! Both were incredibly fired up about the hooded stranger who'd attacked them last time! Muraco said he had no idea who it was under that hood but issued an open challenge to whomever it was at Wrestlemania IV! Will the mystery man accept? Only time will tell.
Out next in the Hot Seat were the MILLION DOLLAR CORPORATION with Sherri Martel! DiBiase ran down THE ROAD WARRIORS saying their days as champs were coming to a close and soon the CORPORATION would impose a 'hostile takeover' of the straps! This brought out the ROAD WARRIORS and Paul Ellering! Suddenly the Legion of Doom found themselves surrounded when The Mountie appeared and he, DiBiase and Virgil went on the attack! Sherri used The Mountie's Shock Stick to zap Ellering severely! After security was able to separate everyone, Ellering needed to be take out on a stretcher! Hawk and Animal were NOT happy!
MAIN EVENT
King Harley Race, Mr. Perfect and Bobby "The Brain" Heenan d. Hillbilly Jim, Cousin Luke and Jimmy "Superfly" Snuka via pinfall when Mr. Perfect hit Snuka with the PERFECT PLEX. - *** - Fun match that even saw Heenan get involved to get in cheap shots then quickly tag out! Race and Perfect were able to weaken all the members of the other team and finally get the win! This puts The Heenan Family on top heading into Wrestlemania!

S.D. Jones over the Iron Sheik! I love seeing upsets like that and also S.D. wanting that title shot. I'm also building up an Andre vs. OMG match so it is cool to see their rivalry at a fever pitch in Golden State. That Street Fight should be wild. I also really love the way you are using Bill Apter, there are so many ways to spice up the action with his card. This has become one of my favorite feds.
