Nick Bockwinkel WWA World Title Tour (3 WWA World Title Reigns, 79 Title Defenses)
*Nick Bockwinkel (c) DQ "Classy" Freddie Blassie (**3/4). Well rarely does Tricky Nick hear the cheers of the fans, but he did in this one fans, as the hated Blassie scratched, clawed, and bit our champion every step of the way! There's sure to be a rematch, as this one had a lot of heat!
*Nick Bockwinkel (c) DQ Thunderbolt Patterson (**1/4). And nothing's settled in this budding feud either fans. Patterson came out like a house on fire, punching Bockwinkel all over the ring! But, Bockwinkel caught his breath...and with a little help from Bobby Heenan, who was at ringside for this one...managed to get back into the bout, until the action spilled outside of the ring, and Patterson went to Fist City!
It appears our WWA champion is racking up some rivals, as both of these bouts went to DQ finishes, Patterson twice now! Stay tuned to see what becomes of these feuds in the WWA, as well as all of our member organizations!

Inspired by Pariah , victoryroll84 , and Lee, I've somewhat returned to my roots as of late, on my title tours. I'm playing mini-cards...sometimes rolling out a small undercard, sometimes just having the World Title Match...following the World Champs as they defend throughout their respective promotions' territories. I'm playing this mostly straight, i.e., when the World Champ loses, the new World Champ picks up his defenses (versus playing out a series of matches, with the World Champ remaining World Champ, win or lose). But...I'm working on some house rules, if you will, which would allow for the World Champ to face some undercard talent from time to time and keep the belt if they lose, as well as face a wrestler from another promotion (and again keep the belt should they lose). Also working on some house rules in that rare instance when I've got a World Champ who I've just grown tired of (and yes, that can happen occassionally!). More to come on those. So, here we go. The continued History of Joint Promotions, still in Season 32, picking up with Card 75. CARD 75: GWF*Stars & Stripes b. Comrade Terror & Mangus, Patriot Missile (**1/4). Good bout, good heat, as there's always heat between the FDF and Cygnus! *Murdock DQ Comrade Sam (**1/2). Another fun bout, between the current heads of the FDF and Cygnus! In my world, I have Murdock hailing from Cygnus, and he's got a good feud going with Commander Sam! MAIN EVENT: Godsend (c) vs. Infinity (blue version) for the GWF World Heavyweight Championship. And we have a NNNNNNNNEEEEEEEWWWW GWF World Heavyweight Champion fans! Infinity b. Godsend (ending a 20 title defense reign!) with the Infinity Challenge to become the new GWF Champion (*3/4). Very quick match, as Infinity takes down Godsend with relative ease. Godsend insisted Infinity cheated with a low blow to start the match (honestly...we didn't see it!), so a rematch will be schedule for the next card! CARD 76: GWFMAIN EVENT: Infinity (c) vs. Godsend for the GWF World Heavyweight Championship. And Infinity, we hardly knew you! Godsend regains the GWF World Heavyweight Championship with the Hell's Threshold (**1/2). Godsend DID nail Infinity with a low blow very early in this contest, and used that to regain the coveted strap, the granddaddy of them all...the GWF World Heavyweight Title! This feud's getting hot, and there will be a 3rd (hopefully) climactic bout in this series the next time the GWF is in action fans! CARD 77: WWAMAIN EVENT: Freddie Blassie (c) with Mr. Fuji vs. Bob Backlund for the WWA World Heavyweight Championship. It seems like there's something in the air right now, as ladies and gentlemen, we have a NNNNNNNNNEEEEEEWWWW WWA World Heavyweight Champion! Bob Backlund b. Freddie Blassie with a delayed vertical suplex to win the WWA World Heavyweight Title once again in an absolute classic (*****... MATCH OF THE YEAR CANDIDATE). Blassie bloodied Backlund, but Backlund was not going to be stopped tonight, blood or no blood. He just kept coming, surviving Fuji's desperate attempts to save his charge and keep the crown on Blassie. Just a great bout, and there will be a rematch...can it live up to this one fans?? The action in Joint Promotions just keeps getting hotter folks, and very soon we'll see action from AAW, as there is a super feud going on between Ric Flaireon (current AAW champ) and Luther Diggs! Stay tuned for all the great wrestling action from the member feds of Joint Promotions!

Great matches Stu! Godsend beating Infinity is a BIG feather in his cap (Infinity is a wrecking ball). Will see how Godsend fairs picking up Infinities title defenses! And Bobby would not be denied by Fuji or The King of Men, the crown is Backlund's! Well done Stu

CARD 78:
*Dragonmaster b. Prodigy, Dragon Drop (**1/4). Dragonmaster looked pretty good in this bout, a little bit of revenge against a stable of wrestlers that includes Thantos, Morpheus, and Prodigy. Thantos had dispatched Dragonmaster with relative ease on an earlier card, so Dragonmaster does gain a bit of revenge...with the hopes that he can have a rematch with the evil Gamemaster soon!
MAIN EVENT: Godsend (c) vs. Infinity for the GWF World Heavyweight Championship. Godsend (1st defense) b. Infinity, Hell's Threshold (**). Godsend retains the belt in the 3rd match of this feud, and now has 2 straight wins over the juggernaut known as Infinity! He was aided, once again, by a well-timed low blow, which put a hurtin' on Infinity! Boo! Boo! What a cad, that Godsend...but, he is still GWF World Champ, low blow or not. Will Infinity get another chance? Stay tuned fans...
CARD 79:
*Bob Roop b. Don Muraco, Spinning Neckbreaker (**). This was a return bout from a few cards ago, which had resulted in a disqualification. Roop proves supreme in this one, and continues a relatively recent strong run in the WWA!
MAIN EVENT: Bob Backlund (c) vs. Freddie Blassie for the WWA World Heavyweight Championship. Freddie Blassie DQ Bob Backlund (1st defense). This match went downhill fast fans, with Blassie trying to bite and claw his way back to being WWA champ! But our intrepid referee would have none of that, and when Backlund retaliated, he had enough and called for the bell. Heck, Backlund was only fighting fire with fire folks, but in any event, while he gets the loss, he does retain the title. This feud continues!
COMING UP: In the next few cards of action from the member feds of Joint Promotions, we'll see WWA Champ Bob Backlund defend against Freddie Blassie ally Gorgeous George, Godsend defends his GWF crown against Dragonmaster (fresh off his big win), and AAW World Champ Ric Flaireon defends against Lazer. The action continues to get hotter and hotter fans!

Another impressive performance by Godsend... Two out of three against Infinity is no small feat... And bending the rules a little has gotta be expected... Fun times!

Hi Stu! Godsend standing toe to toe with Infinity and winning! (I'm sure Infinity will want some sort of payback for the tainted victory Godsend pulled out lol) Backlund giving a taste of the Classie One's own medicine was needed for sure! this feud is heating up man! Great write-ups
