I spent 2 weeks in Indianapolis for work about 15 years ago. Was told to check out Shapiro's Deli. Its downtown near the football stadium, sandwiches were incredible. shapiros.com/ oh wow, I clicked on the website and that place looks amazing. I don't think I can go there on Saturday night as my plane does not land until 6 and the place closes at 7:30. I wonder if this place is close to the park venue where GCW is running on Sunday?

It's a little more than a mile between the two. Haven't been there in a while myself but I enjoyed when I've eaten there in the past.

Troy, If you want to meet at this restaurant for a mid afternoon lunch we can and if you want a sandwich there it is on me my friend. I won't have a vehicle so I will have to meet you there. Afterward we can just catch a Lyft to the park to see GCW. I posted this here instead of a PM in case there is anyone in the Indianapolis area who would like to join us for lunch on Sunday (not sure how many members of the community live in the Indianapolis area.)

Vegas, if you're looking for some really good food while you are in Indy, I suggest you go to The Coachman in Plainfield. Their Tenderloin is amazing, and they have house-made Italian dressing (and I think ranch dressing, but we always got the Italian) that was really, really good. It's a little bit of a drive to Plainfield, but not too bad. Ask if Wes or Taylor are working, and if they are, ask if you can get seated in their section. Tell them Christian MacLeod sent you. (If they ask who you are, tell them you're the one who signed Simon Gotch.) The Coachman
p.s., The grouper sandwich is also amazing. one thing I really regret as I currently pack to leave for the Las Vegas airport early tomorrow morning is I will not get to meet @poisonedshadows this weekend. I am lookimg forward to hanging out with Troy on Sunday for a kick a*s GCW show. It would have been awesome to meet Christian too this weekend in Indianapolis!

I had a pork tenderloin sandwich last night for dinner in downtown Indianapolis although it was not as big as some of the pictures for the sandwich I saw online. It was good. However I did not care for the beer- it was nasty-I had last night though (I think they called it Hoosier beer?) with my dinner. If you want to quit drinking, order the beer I had last night and that will do it.

The food was really good, but the sandwich was just too much for me to eat all at once.
