How about calling him Son of Matador or Bullwhip? Isn’t there already a COTG wrestler named Bullwhip? I am thinking of the guy who teamed with Backlash as part of Dorado Sundown during the start of the Early Classics Period? Yep, Bullwhip teamed with Blacklash as Dorado Sundown. |

One of the best looking cards of 2020 for sure! When I get my promoter hands on the Tournament of Champions set I'm putting Matador right in to my GWF Galaxy Tour for 2137! (I'm thinking maybe the grandson of the original Matador but will see!  |

Yeah that art is amazing, I dont know if I'll have the money to buy the set. Gotta go with what I can utilize most (most bang for the buck ya know), someday I'll come back for this and the colored legends starter set.

I collected a few COTG colour sets but stopped because I didn't want to follow someone else's storyline. I'd rather just pick out my favourite characters and play like I do with my LOW fed (split the roster into faces/heels and roll out random matches).
Is there any scope to do that with this set?

 This artwork is simply stunning! If this particular piece is setting the bar for this set, I suspect it will be a must-own for every promoter... Regardless which game brands you happen to play... Excited to see more! |

Yep, Bullwhip teamed with Blacklash as Dorado Sundown. OK, that is what I thought. It has been about 15 years since I played Early Classics, so I wasn't 100% sure if I was remembering correctly. I am looking forward to the years 2074-2086 getting produced in color at some point so I can go back and play those years again. |

You could treat it like a Tiger Mask situation where he’s still called the Matador of M83 but it’s a new wrestler using the gimmick. “The Matador of M83” is such a vague name to begin with, it could be like a Dread Pirate Roberts deal where the persona gets passed on from generation to generation. This is exactly how I would play it... *FUNNY STORY* that is somewhat related, but not really... When i was about 15 or 16 years old, I actually wrote a letter to Alice Cooper and asked him if he would be interested in passing along his persona to someone younger (heavily implying that I would be willing to assume the role) just like Dread Pirate Roberts from the Princess Bride I made this exact pitch! This way, the character of 'Alice Cooper' could literally become immortal... Funny, I never received a reply.  |

I'm not quite sure if or how I will use the set but thinking..that's just the first piece and there's a lot more to go. Really should be a fun set.

Love the art. Since the stats will be the same I’ll probably just use this Matador in my Kronos fed, (if I ever get to it)
