Which sets/cards are needed to be caught up

I have been looking through the various sets from the last few years and trying to piece together optimal purchases so I can get caught up on the various product lines. How far back on promoter prime would I need to go to be "caught up" and ready for new sets moving forward? It looks like the last few years would be needed but then as I look at 2016 and older I'm curious how these factor into the newer stuff, or are they more optional?

Would Promoter Prime 2017-2020 be a good enough start if I wanted to dive in? Are any of the older sets (either promoter prime or other main sets) necessary? 

I did notice a comment here - filsingergames.proboards.com/thread/21159/kronos-list regarding a set and possibly a way to get missing cards, would that be a better option at this point if I wanted to go all in? Picking up these PP sets would also fill in the CWF roster, is that correct? I ordered the first set of that too so I may just want content for both feds.

What is a good jumping on point for a new promoter?

In terms of current active Kronos cards available via Promoter Prime, there is going to be some kind of package deal where you’ll be able to get them all by the end of this year along with BATTLE LINES - a full Kronos set.

If you can wait a little longer Mike M can talk more about what that will involve once we get through Q3 and into quarter 4.

I may end up picking some of these past Promoter Prime sets anyway to get the LOW cards too. Looking at the handbook posted would I eventually catch up with the needed cards if I start at 2017? It looks that way based on the document but just double checking there aren't any other cards prior to that.

So would getting PP 2017-current be sufficient? There are some CWF guys mixed in there too which is fine since I wanted to get caught up on everything.

There are a couple alternate guys before 2017 but from what we know 2017 to now should do it.
