Homicide getting past Keith Lee and Steen?!?! Wow!!!! Great card bubba... For some reason, the dice decided that Steen would have virtually no involvement in that Triple Threat final, prompting me to write in that backstage sneak attack - somehow seemed appropriate... The Notorious 187 and that bloody fork of his always do extremely well for me... Interested to find out where this victory takes him within the grand scheme of things. Stoked that you enjoyed the show... Always great to have you checking in, my friend... Many thanks!

Pro Class Wrestling Association WEDNESDAY NIGHT WHIPLASH! Episode #24, Year 1, Jun-13 Manhattan Center, New York, NY
Commentary: Paul Ellering and Trish Stratus
JACKIE FARGO and DREAM TEAM def. THE DESTROYER and FLYING TIGERS via pinfall. - Although the Dream Team were looking for revenge against the Tigers for their technical loss to the father and son duo a few months ago, Valentine's attention was fully focused on The Destroyer. He attacked The Destroyer before he even entered the ring and neither man made an actual appearance inside the ring. Beefcake dropped Tiger Sr with a clothesline and made the cover. The referee failed to notice that Fargo was outside the ring, preventing Tiger Sr from kicking out by holding onto his legs. - Tokens: n/a
Backstage: Jim Cornette and Blond Ambition were furious about being overlooked for a shot at the PCWA Global Tag Team Championship at Detonation, especially after eliminating the previous top contenders, the Wyld Boyz, from a Fatal Four Elimination contest last week. They were joined by David Taylor and Gorgeous George, who had their own examples of unfair treatment. Taylor complained that Scorpio was still in possession of his British flag and management was making no attempt to remedy the situation while George continued to be questioned about his skills in the ring even though he defeated Magnum T.A. twice in decisive fashion. Commissioner Dillon offered all four men a chance to earn the respect they were seeking by announcing a big match for Detonation - 2 Cold Scorpio, Magnum T.A. and Wyld Boyz vs. David Taylor, Gorgeous George and Blond Ambition in a Team Survivor match.
KING KONG BUNDY def. DIAMOND DALLAS PAGE via pinfall. - DDP allowed himself to get cornered and Bundy pinned him for a five count with an ATLANTIC CITY AVALANCHE. - Tokens: n/a - Limping towards the backstage area, DDP was confronted by AJ Styles. There were some lingering ill feelings from what Styles felt was unprovoked attack by DDP while the two worked commentary together at Battle Of New England. Flipping the script, DDP harshly questioned Styles about his involvement in the backstage ambush on Kevin Steen. Claiming his innocence, Styles told DDP that he would never jump someone from behind. Before DDP could turn away, Styles smacked him with a forearm and delivered a STYLES CLASH. Looking down at his victim, Styles reiterated that he would have attacked Steen just like that.
BLACKJACK MULLIGAN def. LOU THESZ via submission. - A perfectly timed assist by Jackie Fargo allowed Mulligan to land a crippling blow. Thesz was too slow to recover and Mulligan finished him with a BLACKJACK CLAW. - Tokens: Mulligan 2 - Thesz 2 - Eager to reward Fargo for assisting the Regulator achieve an important win, Commissioner Dillon announced a grudge rematch for Detonation - Lou Thesz vs. Jackie Fargo.
At Ringside: Randy Savage and Sherri Martel arrived to perform guest commentary for the upcoming main event. Savage was visibly irritated that he was not scheduled to face Bobo Brazil in a rematch for the PCWA Global Heavyweight Championship at Detonation, but said he would not permit his judgment to be clouded. Pleased with her man, Martel ranted that it was only a matter of time before the Macho Man returned to the top of the mountain.
NICK BOCKWINKEL (w/ Bobby Heenan) def. BOBO BRAZIL via pinfall in a non-title match. - The instant Brazil appeared, Randy Savage lost his composure and went after the champion. Savage tackled Brazil and started slamming his head against the concrete floor. Johnny Valentine stormed the ringside area and chased off Savage, leaving Sensational Sherri alone with Ellering and Stratus on the commentary desk as Brazil struggled into the ring. It appeared the damage had been done. With the support of the crowd, Brazil made an astounding comeback. He rocked Bockwinkel with a COCO BUTT, but Heenan slipped his client a roll of coins. The referee failed to notice the foreign object and Bockwinkel smashed Brazil in the face before the three count. He rolled Brazil over into a tight pinning combination for a controversial victory. - Tokens: Bockwinkel 4 - Brazil 6 - Bockwinkel was granted a shot against Brazil for the PCWA Global Heavyweight Championship at Detonation. In order to address what took place at ringside during this encounter, Commissioner Dillon announced another match for Detonation - Johnny Valentine vs. Randy Savage.
Detonation Promo Year 1, Jun-29 Boardwalk Hall, Atlantic City, NJ
