It's also very cool your rosters appear to be entirely composed of wrestlers that have official FG cards - Although I appreciate how other promoters incorporate bootlegs into their gameplay, I've never been able to get really excited about them because I exclusively play online.

Host Jim Ross (to be joined later on commentary by Michael PS Hayes) is in the ring with former NWA World's Heavyweight Champion Nick Bockwinkel, Ray Stevens, and their manager, Bobby "The Brain" Heenan.

JR: Nick, you're coming off a tough loss in Greensboro to new World's Champion Tony Atlas.

NB: Mr. Ross, I know you are a fan of football, so I will give you an analogy that you are comfortable with. They say that on Any Given Sunday, a team, no matter their stature or record; can be defeated. I guess you can say, on any given night in the sport of professional wrestling, a man can be defeated. Mr. Atlas, when we met at Starrcade, you were the better man....for one night. I am a 3 time Heavyweight Champion of the World. I am not a fluke, flash in the pan, flavor of the month, or whatever else you wanna call it. I am a champion now and forever whether I have the Ten Pounds of Gold or not. However, I will have the Ten Pounds of Gold again because I have been informed by the NWA Board of Directors, that I will receive my rightful rematch on December 15th in Winnipeg at the Winter in Winnipeg Supercard. So you hold that belt tight because for 11 more days you have it, then it comes back home to its rightful owner.

At this point, Tommy Rich enters the ring to confront the Heenan Family!

TR: You guys think you're all big and bad don't ya? It took 3 of you to put me on the shelf. You see, it's gonna take more than what you three have to offer to keep Tommy Rich down. Bockwinkel, you got what you had coming when my tag team partner took that World belt from you. Now, it's time you get your butt kicked too. I'm challenging you to a match right here and right now! 

BH: Hold on a second pal! You think that Nick Bockwinkel is just gonna give in to you and these humanoids in Kansas City? Not on your life! If you want a match tonight, how about facing "The Crippler" Ray Stevens in the Main Event tonight! 

TR: You know what? That sounds pretty good to me but let's up the ante a little bit here. If I beat your Crippler then me and Atlas get Bockwinkel and Stevens next week on Gateway? 

BH: You're on!

Frank Gotch defeated Jonnie Stewart in 3:54 with a Gotch Toe Hold
Gotch, the former World Champion, made his return to the NWA after a lengthy absence. Gotch absolutely dominated Stewart here who barely mounted an offense. Gotch took his time and stretched Stewart into a pretzel and seemed to enjoy doing it. Gotch finally put Stewart out of his misery with the famous Gotch Toe Hold.

The Original Midnight Express defeated The Armstrongs in 4:29 with a Double Goozle.
Condrey and Rose looked solid in this matchup. Bob and Brad were doing a great job in this put Rose nailed a DDT that dazed Bob and then a Double Goozle spelled defeat for the elder Armstrong. This was a good win for the OMX and will propel them in the rankings. 

We now go to colleague Kevin Wall for an exciting announcement on the upcoming Winter in Winnipeg Supercard!

KW: Ladies and gentleman, Sunday Night, December 15th at the Winnipeg Arena, NWA: Gateway presents Winter in Winnipeg! In the Main Event, NWA World's Heavyweight Champion Tony Atlas will defend against the former Champion Nick Bockwinkel! There will also be a Special Guest Referee for this contest that will be revealed next week on Gateway Wrestling! Another top match will see NWA National Heavyweight Champion Harley Race, with his manager Bobby "The Brain" Heenan in his corner, face off with Bobo Brazil in a 2 out of 3 falls match for the championship! NWA World Tag Team Champions Buddy Rogers and Johnny Valentine will come to Winnipeg to defend the titles against Number 1 Contender's The Miracle Violence Connection! There will be 3 other title matches to be announced later on, including an announcement later in the show about the Central States Tag Team Title Matchup! Now, back to the ring!

Candi Divine defeated Tina Moretti with a Clothesline in 5:09
Divine survived an early onslaught from Moretti and really took over on offense. At one point, the referee was knocked out of the ring. Divine had Moretti pinned several times but there was no one to count the fall. Moretti tried to use some underhanded tactics to her advantage but received a devastating clothesline for her efforts which was what Divine needed for the 3 count!

It was announced that the winner of the next match between The Rock N Roll Express and The Iron Sheik/Nikolai Volkoff would face The Killer Bees for the vacant NWA Central States Tag Team Titles at Winter in Winnipeg!

The Rock N Roll Express defeated The Iron Sheik and Nikolai Volkoff in 6:14 when Morton pinned Sheik following a Double Dropkick
In classic RNR fashion, Morton took a lengthy beating from the opposition. The former 3 Time World Tag Team Champions Sheik and Volkoff, who once ended a 15 month undefeated streak of The Road Warriors, looked poised to add another accolade to their collection. Morton was able to persevere and make the hot tag to Gibson who cleaned house. Moments later, RNR hit their famous Double Dropkick and picked up the win! Sheik and Volkoff would attack the winners following the bout until the Killer Bees ran them off. The Bees and RNR celebrated in the ring. They shook hands tonight but frienship will go out the window when the Central States Titles are on the line in Winnipeg.

Tommy Rich defeated Ray Stevens in 7:49 with a Sleeper
Rich was looking for revenge in this one and got it as he whipped Stevens in this match. Rich and Heenan traded barbs throughout this match. Rich was able to put Stevens away with a Sleeper. Bockwinkel and Heenan rushed the ring but Rich slid out to safety. In next weeks Main Event, The Heenan Family will have to contend with both Rich and World Champion Tony Atlas!

TS: Mr. Watts, thank you for joining us on this edition of World Championship Wrestling. I understand you have an announcement to make regarding the events that took place in the World Tag Team Championship match at Starrcade.

JJ: Before we get to this announcement Cowboy...Let's get something straight. You have no business coming here and getting in The Horsemen's affairs. We showed up in Greensboro and participated in the World Tag Team Championship match as required in our contract. I see no reason to discuss the events of Starrcade. We came with the belts and left with the belts and that's the ONLY thing that matters!

BW: Are you done Dillon? You see, here in the NWA, we wrestle! We don't act like cowards when the heat gets turned up and then take our belts and leave. You are the World Tag Team Champions and whether you like it or not, you represent the NWA, where I make my livelihood. It is absolutely my business when the NWA's name is dragged through the mud because of a couple of cowards. So tonight, RIGHT HERE on World Championship Wrestling, Rogers and Valentine you will defend the World Tag Team Titles in a rematch against The James Gang! If you are disqualified or counted out you will not only lose the match but also the championships! So tonight, get in that and LET's HOOK EM UP!

The crowd ERUPTS at this announcement while James J. Dillon and his men are none too pleased. We will have a World Tag Team Title match tonight on televison!

"Rowdy" Roddy Piper defeated Don Muraco w/ Jimmy Hart in 4:54 with a Sleeper
Piper, coming off of his quick win over another Jimmy Hart charge in "Ravishing" Rick Rude, continued his winning streak against First Family members by defeated Muraco in this contest. After the bout, Jimmy Hart distracted Piper while Rick Rude and Bob Orton attacked! Rude and Orton put the boots to Piper and lashed him with Jimmy Hart's belt in a sickening display. Piper had visible welts all over his back and was helped back to the locker room.

Tony Schiavone interviewed NWA Television Champion "Macho Man" Randy Savage

TS: Macho Man, you had a big night at Starrcade successfully defending your title against "Diamond" Dallas Page. However, after the match Gary Hart was seen in the aisle way and the two of you held a long stare with each other. What's going on with you and Gary Hart?

RS: To tell you the truth Tony, I don't know. I have no business with Gary Hart and I don't know why he showed up at Starrcade.

At this point, Gary Hart enters the ring

GH: Randy, could you come with me so we can have a private conversation as I'd like to discuss some business with you. Tony, would you excuse us please?

TS: Certainly, Mr. Hart

This is a very interesting turn of events. Is Gary Hart angling to become the manager of Randy Savage???

We now go to pre-recorded comments from Tessa Blanchard

TB: At Starrcade, I showed the world that I am the best women's wrestler in the World. I not only defeated the great Trish Stratus but I took away her shine and confidence. There is no one more talented than me, male or female and I intend to show the world. Stay tuned because the best is yet to come!

Xia Brookside defeated Tessa Blanchard in 6:02 with a rollup
Tessa maintained control in this entire contest and seemingly underestimated her opponent. Tessa was cocky and talked a lot of trash in the match. Tessa would charge Xia in the corner but Xia moved out of the way sending Tessa crashing into the turnbuckles. Xia quickly rolled up Tessa in a major upset. Tessa threw a MASSIVE tantrum following the bout even nailing referee Randy Anderson with a Double Knee Facebreaker following the match. Xia Brookside might have to pay a hefty price after picking up the biggest win of her career. 

Vampiro defeated Hugh Morrus with manager Kevin Sullivan in 2:22 with Nail in the Coffin
Vampiro looked great in this match and easily handled Morrus. Morrus' manager, Kevin Sullivan, smiled and applauded for Vampiro following the match. What could be going on in the mind of the sinister Kevin Sullivan???

Barry Windham defeated David Taylor in 7:50 with a Lariat
This was an excellent contest and really showcased the talent of both wrestlers. Windham was able to hold on and pick up the victory with a Lariat.

NWA World Tag Team Champions Buddy Rogers and Johnny Valentine with manager James J. Dillon defeated The James Gang in 10:13 to retain the titles
Much like at Starrcade, The James Gang isolated Rogers and nearly put him away several times. This time, Rogers was able to tag out to Valentine who really went to work. He used multiple Atomic Skullcrushers to keep control. He would tag in a rested Rogers who put BG James away with his Figure Four Grapevine. The Champions faced a tough challenge in this one but with their backs against the wall, they proved that they are incredible champions.

Tony Schiavone announced that the NWA has fined Tessa Blanchard $25,000 dollars for attacking a referee earlier in the show. She will have the opportunity to redeem herself and face Xia Brookside in a rematch next week on World Championship Wrestling from the Timken Physical Education Building in Alliance, OH. If she attacks another official or acts in anyway unbecoming an athlete her stature she will be indefinitely suspended. We'll see you next week!

Pleased that Vampiro chalked up a win... And thinking an alliance between him and the Taskmaster would make for an interesting development... Of course, a heated rivalry between two creatures of the darkness might be even more fun...

Strong performance by the tag champs... Thinking Rogers and Valentine are gonna be tough to beat for the gold... Truth!

The Vachons defeated Hamilton Wrecking Crew in 8:26 when Mad Dog Vachon pinned John Tolos with a Piledriver
These two rough and tumble teams were vying for a spot on the weekend's Winter in Winnipeg Supercard. The winner of this will be facing the Original Midnight Express, who picked up an impressive win last week over The Armstrongs. Mad Dog was at his vicious best and really worked over John Tolos. After a series of devastating moves, Mad Dog finished off "The Golden Greek" with a Piledriver. That confirms that The Vachons will face The Original Midnight Express this weekend in Winnipeg!

We now go to a pre-recorded segment as our colleague, Kevin Wall is with Bobby Heenan, National Champion Harley Race, and Larry Hennig

KW: Here with Bobby "The Brain" Heenan and his charge, Harley Race, who is accompanied by Larry "The Axe" Hennig. Mr. Heenan, can you explain the alliance here?

BH: In professional wrestling, there are many business deals. Money, BIG MONEY, changes hands all the time. Mr. Race and I had an agreement that I would manage him to the National Championship and we've accomplished that. He paid me very handsomely as well, so for that I thank him. Mr. Race is now going to be advised by Larry "The Axe" Hennig, who will also team up with Mr. Race. This is an amicable split and I wish them the very best. I will now focus on Nick Bockwinkel regaining the World's Heavyweight Championship. As one last favor for Mr. Race, I have asked King Kong Bundy to face Bobo Brazil tonight. This is to soften the challenger up for Mr. Race's National Title defense this weekend in Winnipeg. 

Bobo Brazil defeated King Kong Bundy in 6:35 with a Coco Butt
Heenan, Race, and Hennig were all ringside for this one. Brazil was sharp in this match tonight and kept the big man Bundy honest. Bobo would finish this off with a series of Coco Butts. Race and Hennig were FURIOUS after the match!

HR: I thought we had a deal Heenan! Your man didn't come through! It's a good thing our contract was up because I would've fired you for this!

JR: Brain, what's going on?

BH: What you think Ross? You humanoid! That ingrate Race has no right to speak to me that way!

JR: Brain, I have some footage here that you need to see regarding this weekend's World Title Match between your man, Nick Bockwinkel and the Champion, Tony Atlas. Let's go to the tape from NWA President Sam Muchnick.

SM: This Sunday night at the Winnipeg Arena, Nick Bockwinkel will attempt to regain the World's Heavyweight Championship against Tony Atlas. We want this to be a fair contest and with Bobby Heenan around ringside, there's a good chance he could get involved. So, as mentioned last week we are assigning a Special Guest Referee. That referee will call it right down the middle and act in the utmost integrity. He is one of the all time greats. Ladies and gentlemen, the Special Guest Referee will be...THE CRUSHER!

BH: WHAT THE HELL IS THE NWA TRYING TO DO TO ME, ROSS??? THE CRUSHER??? SOMEONE IS GONNA PAY TONIGHT ROSS! YOU WAIT AND SEE! 

Melina defeated Rockin' Robin in 0:59 with a Primal Scream
Melina made quick work of her opponent and turned a lot of heads with this victory. She is looking to move up the ranks in the Women's division and this is sure one way to do it!

Dark Patriot: I finally get my shot at the World Junior Heavyweight Championship! I am the rightful Number One Contender and soon I will be the rightful champion! Jushin Liger, welcome to the Darkside!

Sam Houston beat Koko Ware in 2:50 with a Bulldog
Sam Houston came out firing in this Junior Heavyweight contest and put a hurting on Koko. Koko was stunned early and put away with a Bulldog. Houston would be attacked by the Dark Patriot following this matchup! Patriot did not want another Junior Heavyweight stealing his spotlight ahead of his championship match!


Nick Bockwinkel and Ray Stevens defeated World's Champion Tony Atlas and Tommy Rich in 4:58 when Bockwinkel made Rich submit to the Figure Four
The Heenan Family were intent on hurting someone after tonight's events and went after the leg of Tommy Rich. They continuously battered the knee of Rich until he couldn't take it anymore. Bockwinkel submitted him with The Figure Four Leglock. The win was not enough however as they continued the attack on Rich. Atlas tried to fight off Bockwinkle, Stevens ,and Heenan but was attacked with a chair and then a ram into the ringpost which bloodied the champion. Rich and Atlas both have championship matches this Sunday. How will this attack impact them??? Heenan said someone would pay and Rich and Atlas sure did. Will The Heenan Family be laughing after the championship match this weekend?
