Posting in feds for the first time in years, Mike 824 presents The National Wrestling Alliance: The Territories!

***I will generally post one month of game-time results at a time (with exceptions) depending on how much I'm rolling at a given time. I tend to play a lot for a while then take a break, but I always aim to complete a story when posting so even on a break there will be a beginning and an end so it makes this an easy and fun read for you. : )

The National Wrestling Alliance (NWA) will be the governing body of my four NWA Territories. There will be two Legends and two Independent territories. LOW Territories will be posted in the LOW Feds section and the Independent Territories will be posted in the Indy Feds section. I will provide a link to the Indy feds once it is posted.

Legends and Indy talent will be kept separate except for World Championship opportunities, which will make for rare and fun multi-generational dream matches.

There are four recognized NWA World Championships...

NWA World Heavyweight Championship (currently held by Nick Bockwinkel)
NWA World Tag Team Championships (currently held by Buddy Rogers & Johnny Valentine)
NWA World Junior Heavyweight Championship (currently held by Jushin "Thunder" Liger)
NWA World Women's Championship (currently held by Sherri Martel)

These will be traveling World Champions and can appear in any territory while champion. They will visit the territories on a rotating schedule and must defend two times monthly. (I use championship advantage rules where the champion gets a -2 in fatigue for a top contender and -3 fatigue for a lower ranked contender)

There will be a Regional Main Event, Secondary, and Tag Team Titles in each territory. They must also defend their championships 1 time monthly (again using championship advantage rules) ***World Champions defend an extra time as I feel it should be a tougher schedule for them

There will be NWA World rankings as well as Territorial Rankings.
NWA Women's wrestlers will not be assigned to specific territories. They will be represented on match cards in all territories.

The NWA President is Sam Muchnick and Vice President is "Cowboy" Bill Watts. The NWA Board of Directors is made of Legendary and Modern Day Promoters. They are as followed...

Each territory will have a weekly TV show and a Monthly "SuperCard" Here's how the schedule works...

Mondays: NWA Pacific Northwest Wrestling (Supercard in Week 1 of every month)
Wednesdays: NWA Gateway Wrestling (Supercard in Week 2 of every month)
Fridays: NWA Power Pro Wrestling (Supercard in Week 3 of every month)
Saturdays: NWA World Championship Wrestling (Supercard Week 4 of every month)

***Each month will run on a 4-week schedule. In months with a 5th week, that week will be skipped and I will proceed to a fresh month

World Championship Schedule:
In even numbered months, the World Champions will compete in NWA Gateway and NWA World Championship Wrestling (Weeks 2 & 4)
In odd numbered months, the World Champions will compete in NWA Pacific Northwest and and NWA Power Pro Wrestling (Weeks 1 & 3)

Let's take a look at the card and how we got here!
***Note: This card was scheduled before the new World Championship schedule was announced.

The Fantastics vs The Fabulous Kangaroos
The Kangaroos recently made their return to the NWA and look to re-capture the magic they had when they were the NWA World Tag Team Champions. The Fantastics are 3-Time Former World Tag Team Champions and will be a tough test. This could seriously impact the Tag Team rankings.

Steel Cage Match: Tessa Blanchard vs Trish Stratus
This has been a long running feud and they are even in wins against each other. Tessa has viciously attacked Trish on multiple occasions and even cost Trish a shot at a championship match. Trish will be looking to avenge this attack inside a Steel Cage where there MUST be a winner!

NWA World Junior Heavyweight Champion Jushin "Thunder" Liger vs. Mikey Whipwreck
Mikey has always given his opposition fits during his matches and even though he hasn't had the best win/loss record, he always brings it and was awarded this match by NWA President Sam Muchnick. Liger recently won the championship in a Tournament Final against Tiger Mask. This will be his first title defense? Will the underdog Mikey be able to capture the gold?

NWA United States Tag Team Champions The Horsemen (Larry Zbyszko & Tully Blanchard) vs. The Midnight Express
The Horsemen recently dethroned The Midnight Express in a competitive match at Dorton Arena (Raliegh, NC) giving all 4 members of The Horsemen tag team gold! (Buddy Rogers & Johnny Valentine are the NWA World Tag Team Champions). The Midnight Express are hungry for this rematch and we have seen a war of words erupt between the respective managers, James J. Dillon and Jim Cornette. 

George Hackenschmidt vs. Ivan Koloff
Koloff and his comrades, Alexis Smirnoff and Boris Zhukov; attempted to recruit the returning former World Champion, Hackenschmidt into their Soviet stable, but Hackenschmidt declined stating that he wanted to honor his home country with proper representation and not the way Koloff and his comrades do. Koloff was incensed and tried to orchestrate an attack but Hackenschmidt fought it off and is now challenging him to a match at Starrcade!

NWA Television Champion Randy "Macho Man" Savage vs. "Diamond" Dallas Page
This is a rematch as Savage won the championship from Page in a classic matchup in Atlanta. The two shook hands after the match and agreed to battle it out again at Starrcade. Savage is a 2-Time TV Champion while Page is looking to regain the belt for the 4th time. 

NWA Women's Champion Sherri Martel vs. Madison Rayne
Both women defeated former champion Trish Stratus to earn a spot in this match. Rayne was initially aided by Tessa Blanchard but took a clean victory of Trish in a remtach. Rayne is on a hot-streak but Martel has been a dominant champion winning all of her defenses in short order. Who will take home the gold?

Street Fight: "Rowdy" Roddy Piper vs. "Ravishing" Rick Rude
These two have fought tooth and nail in recent matchups with a lot of DQ's due to intertefence from Rude's manager, Jimmy Hart. Piper has also gone berserk in these contests causing himself to be DQ'ed. Now, there will be NO disqualification and Jimmy Hart and The First Family (Muraco & Orton) are BANNED from ringside. Who will get the upper hand in this vicious feud?

NWA United States Champion Big Van Vader vs. Magnum TA
Magnum came very close to winning a Number One Contender's Tournament for the right to face World Champion Nick Bockwinkel at Starrcade but fell just short of Tony Atlas in the finals. Vader has been absolutely dominant with only one loss on his record since joining the NWA. Magnum has been known to be a very streaky wrestlers in the NWA. Will he continue the hot streak or will this be the start of another cold spell for the challenger?

NWA World Tag Team Champions The Horsemen (Buddy Rogers & Johnny Valentine) vs. The James Gang
The James Gang are currently the Number 5 ranked challengers for the title and have earned this matchup with recent feud victories of The Dream Team and The New Impact Players. The Horsemen wish to keep all of their gold and will look to cement their status as the top stable in the NWA with a victory here.

The Main Event! NWA World's Heavyweight Champion Nick Bockwinkel vs. Tony Atlas
As mentioned earlier, Atlas won a tournament to earn this matchup. Bockwinkel's manager, Bobby "The Brain" Heenan has stated that Bockwinkel can simply out wrestle and out think his powerful challenger, but Atlas states that he will muscle his way to the gold and that he is much smarter than his opponents give him credit for. The Heenan Family has targeted Atlas but to no avail so they attacked his former tag team partner and friend, Tommy Rich. Atlas is out for blood in this one. He looks to hit Bockwinkel where it hurts most and that is by taking the Ten Pounds of Gold away from the champion!

NWA World Championship Wrestling presents...Starrcade!

We are live for NWA: WCW's biggest event of the year...Starrcade! Our hosts are Tony Schiavone & Bob Caudle! Let's get to the action!

The Fantastics defeated The Fabulous Kangaroos in 6:21 when Bobby Fulton pinned Roy Heffernan
Both teams went for the kill early as they both realize the importance this match will have on the rankings. The Fantastics were able to use quick tags and crisp double team moves to catch The Kangaroos by surprise and get a victory. 

Steel Cage Match: Tessa Blanchard defeated Trish Stratus with a Trapped Leg Codebreaker at 12:49
This was a violent affair that saw Tessa brutalize Trish, even busting her open. Trish fought valiantly against Tessa but couldn't maintain control in this one. It seemed that Tessa had an answer for everything. Trish just would not stay down and it took multiple Codebreakers to finally put her away. 

NWA World Junior Heavyweight Champion Jushin "Thunder" Liger defeated Mikey Whipwreck in 17:10 to retain the title.
Mikey started right out of the gate with 2 Whipper-Snapper's and had the champ reeling. Liger then turned on the offense and really put a hurting on Mikey, who refused to quit. Mikey then made a tremendous comeback and came incredibly close to dethroning the champion. The crowd was going wild in this one. Liger hit 2 Shooting Star Presses and couldn't put Mikey away. Mikey once again went on the offensive but got countered when going for a sunset flip and Liger held on for three. This was the Match of the Night. Liger and Mikey shook hands and embraced following the match to a standing ovation. 

The Midnight Express defeated US Tag Team Champions Larry Zbyszko & Tully Blanchard in 16:18 to win the titles
The Midnights isolated Larry Zbyszko and really did a number on him. Tully Blanchard tried to regain the advantage for the champions but Jim Cornette's game plan worked to perfection as his team was able to put Zbyszko down for the 3 count and regain the US Tag Team Titles. Lane got the pin with the Russian Leg Sweep. This is The Midnight Express' 3rd US Tag Team Title reign.

George Hackenschmidt defeated Ivan Koloff in 6:01 with the Russian Bear Hug
Koloff tried every dirty trick in the book but Hack simply overpowered and outwrestled him. Hack looked great in this contest and looks poised to rise up the rankings in NWA: WCW. 

NWA Television Champion "Macho Man" Randy Savage defeated "Diamond" Dallas Page in 5:19 with the Flying Axe Handle
While this was not up to par with some of their other matches, Savage and Page exchanged quite heavily in this one. Savage was able to keep Page at bay with his aerial maneuvers and eventually put Page down for the pin. After the match, Gary Hart appeared in the entrance way to stare down the champion. What is Hart's business in NWA: WCW? Is he scouting Savage and hoping to make an acquisition or is he scouting the champion in hopes of taking his title? Time will tell!

NWA Women's World Champion Sherri Martel defeated Madison Rayne in 4:41 with a Top Rope Splash
Martel quickly extinguished any momentum the challenger had in this one with a quick and steady attack. Martel showed why she has been such a dominant champion and used her famous Top Rope Splash to pin the challenger. Following the match, Number 1 Contender Jessicka Havok stormed the ring and attacked Martel. Kiera Hogan ran in and made the save as Hogan and Havok have had quite the rivalry recently. Hogan then picked up the belt and gave it a good long look over before handing it back to the champion. Martel has a lot of challengers looking to take her title away. We will see in the coming weeks who can try and wrestle the championship away from her. 

Street Fight: "Rowdy" Roddy Piper defeated "Ravishing" Rick Rude in 1:56 with a Sleeper
Piper wasted no time in this one and took the fight right to Rude. With no one on the outside to interfere on his behalf, Piper went for The Sleeper early and it was enough to put away Rude. I'm sure this feud is far from over and that Rude will be looking for some kind of retribution.

NWA US Champion Big Van Vader defeated Magnum TA in 4:22 with a Running Body Avalanche
While this was a short match, it was fast paced, hard hitting, and full of action. Magnum went on the attack quickly and nearly scored a quick win on the champion. Vader rebounded with a quick Powerbomb but Magnum got out at 2. Vader then went on the offensive with his trademark strikes and power. Magnum started to mount a comeback but was caught with a Running Body Avalanche which stunned him enough for the 3 count. Vader might have scored the quick win here but it was not the domination he has shown in recent matches. I'm sure these 2 will cross paths again.

The James Gang defeated NWA World Tag Team Champions Buddy Rogers & Johnny Valentine in 8:29 via countout. The titles did not change hands.
The James Gang showed why they are a top 5 contender in the rankings and really put the boots to Buddy Rogers. Rogers was bounced from pillar to post and was not able to make a tag the entire match. Rogers did survive 2 finishers showing why he has been such a great champion. After nearly 9 minutes, James J. Dillon grabbed the belts and instructed his men to leave the ring leading to a countout. This is not the type of finish the James Gang or the fans wanted to see, especially at Starrcade. NWA Vice President Bill Watts has stated that he will address this issue on the next edition of NWA: WCW. 

Tony Atlas defeated NWA World's Heavyweight Champion Nick Bockwinkel in 13:53 to WIN the title!
This was an incredible matchup that saw Atlas utilize his strength early before Bockwinkel went to work on Atlas' leg. Atlas would survive the Bockwinkel Sleeper and Figure Four Leglock. Despite distractions from Bobby Heenan, Atlas kept his focus and nailed Bockwinkel with 2 consecutive Press Slam and Splashes for the pinfall. Wrestlers filled the ring to celebrate Atlas' milestone victory. This ends Bockwinkel's 3rd championship reign and the start of Atlas' first. The crowd went WILD!
