You're lucky you get the bye for #1 seed. #1 seed for me is a game against #8 with the ever so fun 8 team playoff. How many teams are in your league? We did have an 8 team playoff when our league was 16 teams. But in my opinion you should never have more than half the league in your playoffs. If you have a 12 team league then really it should be no more than a 6 team playoff IMO. My league is 14 teams, with a 7 team playoff. It's a 12 team league. Just a small money work league. I agree though, should only be a 6 team playoff with a 1 and 2 bye. Not a big deal though as it's only $25. |

Well, I have a 28% chance of winning this week. So, playoffs look out. I am currently sitting in the 4th and final spot. However, I am tied with two other teams and have the lead due to tie breaker of total points scored. The bad news is both teams are playing each other this week which mean one will win. So, I have to win and hold on to my points lead. I mean there is a chance they tie and thus I could make the playoffs by tying as well but that seems less likely than my 28% chance of beating the top team this week. It would be cool if I could pull the upset. That would be two weeks in a row I won via upset and both against the team in the top position when I played them.

The fantasy apocalypse has been averted! In the final 4 for two leagues while I’m in a 3way tie for 1st in a 10 team were 5 people are fighting for 4 spots. Win and I’m in. Lose and I’m in depending on points & outcomes. My 2nd son is due Monday however it ends up as long as my child is healthy it’ll be a great weekend. My the fantasy gods be in your favor fellas!

Congrats. I am sure everything will go great Monday. Even if he has trouble gripping a football once he is free of the womb. He will get the hand of it soon enough.  I had a sliver of hope last night as my guys, Herbert and Williams were actually outscoring his guys of Mahomes, Ekeler and the KC kicker. But then Ekeler got a TD while my guys cooled down and Mahomes got hot. Oh well. I should be top seed in the consolation playoffs and hopefully can win that. Good luck to all in their playoffs. |

Man, Dallas D better go off against NY. I sat Indy D because I thought they might have a so-so day against the Pats O. Only half but they are going off on them. 21 points right now. Granted it will go down if Pats score. But it might go up as they pin their ears back and go after Jones.

You have heard of the Midas touch. I have invented the Martin touch. Like today, I say Shultz and he went for 16+ points for Dallas. At least it is giving me a good laugh.

Well, I survived round 1 even after benching Mahomes for Burrow. To be fair, Mahomes has been crap this year unless he plays the Raiders or Chargers. On to next week.

I had a bye this week, but didn't stop me from getting another weekly high and another $25. Thanks Cooper Kupp and Brandon Cooks (who finally is doing something).
I had some Free Agent dollars left and picked up Antonio Brown and Ronald Jones. Not every year you can pick up Brady's top remaining RB and WR in week 16. May not need them, but with all the Covid list guys, I want to make sure I have enough backup options.

Do you believe in miracles? Cause I don't. I almost did. After Sunday my opponent was done and majorly underperformed. I thought I might beat him, the top team, and make the playoffs. I had 3 spots open with 4 guys to use all in the Rams-Seahawks game. I only needed about 40 points. With 2 WR and 2 RB to pick from I thought I had a good chance of pulling off a second straight upset. But alas, my guys all underperformed. Oh well I am top seed in the consolation bracket. I ended up regular season with 4th points scored and 5 least scored against me. Funny enough the two teams tied at the top both had less points scored against them. All in the timing.
As I look back at my draft, I think my best pick was Justin Herbert in the 6th round with the last pick in the round. Six QBs went before I took him. My second-best pick might have been the Indy D with last pick in the 8th round. That is much earlier than I prefer to pick a D but there had been a run. Seven D's were gone by then and Indy was my preferred pick so I did not want to miss on them. Justin finished the regular season as #2 QB, only 9 points from first overall. Indy ended up #3 D.
