As a promoter, have you ever had to cancel a previously announced match for any reason?
I did in my Ring of Vegas fed because I actually forgot to play a match between ROV TV Champion Jeff Cobb and Jay Lethal at my Glory by Vegas IPPV.
I knew something seemed wrong when I was playing out and posting the show results but I did not figure it out until after the show was over and already posted in the fed forum.
So I had to rebook that match for ROV TV with the explanation that Jay Lethal had travel issued regarding his flight to Glory by Vegas. Jeff Cobb actually lives here in Las Vegas (he told me he is about 10 minutes away from where I live and I have seen him at my gym before) so it obviously made more sense to have Lethal and not Cobb be the one to have flight problems to the show in Las Vegas.

I cancelled a couple matches when I lost my George Hackenschmidt card. I ordered a replacement from TM and Hack only missed a couple matches. Turns out the Hack card was in my scanner.
I've toyed with the idea of having someone no show on Indie shows but I haven't done it yet.

This actually just happened in my current Legends fed - PCWA Pro Class Wrestling Association... AJ Styles was scheduled to face The Destroyer on my most recent supercard, Over The Edge, but suffered a minor injury while competing against Greg Valentine on the previous weekly episode of Wednesday Night Whiplash... As a result, Valentine replaced Styles in the match and The Destroyer wound up defeating him by forcing him to tap out to a Figure Four... Gotta love when the dice deliver like that! Really cool how you're handling the neglected Lethal vs. Cobb match... Honestly, it's little touches like that which makes a fed really come to life... That's some great lemonade! |

After looking all over for my Tiger Mask and Jushin Liger cards I couldn't find them and wanted them for a tournament. Was about to order Legends 11 again then I thought of one more place to look and there they were. Oh and I'm sure I've had to reschedule things just can not think of an example right now. |

Yeah main event feud match Justin Credible v Kevin Steen . Rolled opening segment chart there was a backstage brawl and one of them got injured badly (Justin Incredible) . Kevin Steen later got suspended .

I’ve canceled matches because I also forgot all about them. In my indie fed, I kept confusing poor AJ Gray and AR Foxx, resulting in Gray wrestling twice in one night. Although in that case it was less canceling the natch and mire restarting it with the correct wrestler.

I've done it a couple times when I accidentally booked the wrong match from what was planned. Also a couple times when I couldn't find a card temporarily.

I've done it as a smaller angle in my LWF fed from time to time (It's always fun to sprinkle in some real life into ones write-ups).
