While I'd have enjoyed seeing Red Crush grab the belts, some length to a title reign is good too. Big win for Ray Stevens. Always enjoy an Adrian Street win as well.

The Russian Bear becomes the #1 contender!! In the meantime, Thesz gets sidetracked by Baker...that is going to be an unorthodox feud to say the least. It will be technical vs brawl...
Adrian Street for the duke...the reason that I brought this up is because I watched his story yesterday on the network and found it interesting.
Anyway, caught up on the last couple of cards...dont know how u keep up with several feds at the same time but its always an enjoyable read.

Bockwinkel and Stevens can be a difficult pair to book... Part of me wants to keep them in the hunt for the tag belts while another part of me really wants to see what they can accomplish in singles competition... Either way, I expect these two will always be a treat to whoever is wearing gold. Street is an absolute blast, as always... And I think this partnership with Firpo might last awhile. Always appreciate the excellent feedback, my friend... Many thanks!

Adrian Street for the duke...the reason that I brought this up is because I watched his story yesterday on the network and found it interesting. Anyway, caught up on the last couple of cards...dont know how u keep up with several feds at the same time but its always an enjoyable read. Here's a peek behind the proverbial curtain, brotha... A little explanation on how the rivalry between Baker and Thesz came about... When I start a match, each wrestler rolls 2d6 to see who will open on offense... This could also lead to something out of the ordinary under the following conditions: If Wrestler A rolls 12 (boxcars), then Wrestler A opens on Level 2 Offense. If Wrestler B rolls 2 (snake eyes), then Wrestler A opens on Level 2 Offense. If Wrestler A rolls 12 (boxcars) AND Wrestler B rolls 2 (snake eyes), then Wrestler A opens on Level 3 Offense. Now for the really fun part... If both wrestlers roll the same number, then I roll again but only using 1d6 this time (instead of 2d6)... If they roll the same number again, it winds up being a NO CONTEST... From that point - IT'S UP TO ME, PROMOTER! In the case of the Triple Threat, Koloff and Rogers both rolled the same number on both rolls... Since Thesz was the odd man out, I decided he would become the victim of circumstances... Ox Baker just happened to be next in line to debut in my fed... So, I naturally decided that he would make an unscheduled appearance... And well, you know what happened. Always appreciate the continued interest and very kind words, my friend... Many thanks for staying tuned!

interesting...I do something similar with the rolls though I use 11 and 12 and 2 and 3 for those. (mind you if it's 3 vs 2 or 12 vs 11, I might do level 1 anyways)

I used to have a system that was a little more convoluted, involving a homemade prematch mayhem chart... But, I've really been trying to simplify my gameplay as much as possible these days and think this suits my purposes just fine.

I am struggling to find ways to determine #1 contenders (short of just picking the #1 contender based on W/L percentage and a couple other variables). I may steal pay homage to this.

Very pleased that you like the concepts and yes, feel free to use anything you see here in your own fed... That is half the fun of sharing as I beg, borrow and steal plenty of ideas from our fellow promoters... HA! I've always enjoyed holding special events like these to determine who will be next in line for a title shot... When I look at straight win/loss percentages, I often find that WWE must be onto something with its 50/50 booking model because that's how a number of wrestlers tend to rank... Even top guys like Rogers and Thesz seem to lose almost as many matches as they win (or more)... Quality of opposition means a lot to me and that can be very subjective. Thank you very much for the great feedback, my friend... Appreciate you taking the time to check things out... Cheers!
