A nice batch of VintagePro action. Strangler Lewis has been getting by but will that be enough against Gama? It should be an epic encounter as long as the bookers donβt screw it up. Ed Lewis vs. Great Gama -- This is the primary reason why I created the VP+ brand in the first place... Pleased that you're looking forward to the match as well, my friend... Epic encounter? Let's hope!

LEGENDARY CHRONICLES WRESTLING
Under The Wire Tour (card #200) 04.May.08 Dow Event Center, Saginaw, MI
FIT FINLAY def. Doug Somers (w/ Mike McCord) via pinfall at 5:34. - Finlay pinned Somers with a counter schoolboy rollup after a missed running clothesline against the turnbuckles. -- Tokens: Somers 2 - Payback was Finlay's motivation as his partner, Scott Irwin, remained on the sidelines with an injury that he suffered during a recent post-match assault by Somers and McCord.
STAN HANSEN def. Bobby Eaton (w/ Dennis Condrey) via DQ at 9:09. - Eaton was disqualified when he smashed Hansen with a steel chair. -- Tokens: Hansen 5 - Eaton 2 - Constant involvement by Condrey prompted a surprise appearance by the Briscos. As the brothers forced Condrey away from ringside, Hansen started to take control of this heated exchange. His comeback was cut short when Eaton delivered a wicked chairshot to the face.
JACKIE FARGO & THE CRUSHER def. Thunderbolt Patterson & Tiger Conway Sr via submission at 8:21. - Crusher finished Conway with a CRUSHER NELSON. -- Tokens: Fargo 1, Crusher 1 - Conway 3 - Following an impressive victory, Crusher made some derogatory remarks about individuals of low character like Bruiser Brody and Jimmy Snuka needing to be taught proper manners. Amused by his partner's latest crusade, Fargo wore a broad smile and nodded in agreement.
ADRIAN STREET (w/ George Steele) def. Sputnik Monroe via DQ at 2:23. - Monroe was disqualified for bumping the referee while trying to push Steele aside. -- Tokens: Street 1 - This fresh rivalry continued to escalate as Monroe repeatedly had to maneuver his way around Steele in order to get hands on his opponent.
LARRY ZBYSZKO def. Nikolai Volkoff (w/ Baron von Raschke) via DQ at 8:00. - Volkoff was disqualified due to outside interference. -- Tokens: Zbyszko 1 - Volkoff 2 - This contest quickly spiraled out of control as Zbyszko wanted to send a spiteful message to Baron that he did not regret betraying their earlier alliance. Baron decided to become an active participant in order to counter Zbyszko's cheap tactics, pulling the referee out of the ring to break up a near fall and costing Volkoff the match in the process.
LCW Universal Tag Team Championship Match JACK & JERRY BRISCO def. Bob Orton Jr & Don Muraco via submission at 19:13. - Jack finished Muraco with a FIGURE FOUR LEGLOCK. -- Tokens: JackB 2, JerryB 4 - Orton 1, Muraco 2 - Surviving multiple close calls, the Briscos relied on their athletic prowess to outlast the challengers in this marathon encounter. Bobby Eaton and Dennis Condrey made a brief post-match appearance to remind the Briscos that Randy Rose would soon return from his suspension and the Midnight Express would be rolling at full strength once again. Jack & Jerry Brisco retained the LCW Universal Tag Team Championship for a successful version two title defense.
RAY STEVENS (w/ Mad Dog Vachon) def. Bobo Brazil (w/ Killer Kowalski) via pinfall at 10:30. - Stevens pinned Brazil after a BOMBS AWAY. -- Tokens: Stevens 4 - Brazil 1 - Despite controlling the action for the majority of this contest, Brazil failed to put Stevens away when he had the chance. The referee was distracted by Kowalski and Vachon trading blows out on the floor, allowing Stevens to stun Brazil with a mule kick below the belt.
Triple Threat LCW Ringmasters Open Championship Match HARLEY RACE def. Randy Savage (w/ Candi Divine) and The Destroyer via pinfall at 24:47. - Race pinned Destroyer after a PILEDRIVER. -- Tokens: Race 4 - Destroyer 3 - Savage 3 - Realizing this was going to be a demanding affair, all three competitors maintained a steady pace without wasting energy. When Savage had Race lined up for a high risk move, Destroyer knocked him off the top rope and sent him crashing hard to the concrete floor. While Divine tried to get Savage back into the fight, Race blindsided Destroyer to emerge triumphant. It was a historic moment as Race ended the reign of Macho Madness while becoming the first Triple Crown winner in the company's history by having held this title as well as the LCW Universal Heavyweight and LCW Universal Tag Team Championships. On a more dubious note, it was also the first time that a champion had lost a title without being directly involved in the decision. HARLEY RACE won the LCW Ringmasters Open Championship.

I'm not sure what the future holds for the Macho Man... Will he challenge Harley Race or will he move on to another title chase? All, I do know is what a glorious reign the Macho Man had in 22+ title defenses?

Savage robbed by losing the title without losing the fall. Go Briscos. The Briscos overcame a very tough pair of challengers (Orton Jr & Muraco) only to be smacked in the face with the realization that the Midnight Express trio is waiting in the wings... Combine that with the fact that the Heroes Cup takes place next month and the reigning tag champs cannot afford to get complacent... Truly appreciate the continued interest, my friend... Many thanks!

I'm not sure what the future holds for the Macho Man... Will he challenge Harley Race or will he move on to another title chase? All, I do know is what a glorious reign the Macho Man had in 22+ title defenses? It was a heartbreaking loss, without a doubt... The Reign of Macho Madness officially stands at 25 successful title defenses over the course of 596 days... Glorious is the right word to describe such an accomplishment, my brotha... Savage is eager for a one-on-one rematch against Handsome Harley... Can he reclaim the gold?
