LEGENDARY CHRONICLES WRESTLING
Under The Wire Tour (card #201) 04.May.15 Celeste Center, Columbus, OH
DOUG SOMERS & MIKE MCCORD def. Thunderbolt Patterson & Tiger Conway Sr via pinfall at 9:52. - Somers pinned Conway after an elbow smash. -- Tokens: Somers 3 - Conway 1 - A clever blind tag allowed Somers to catch Conway completely by surprise.
THE SPOILER (w/ Paul Ellering) def. Sputnik Monroe via pinfall at 13:03. - Spoiler pinned Monroe after a ropewalk smash. -- Tokens: Spoiler 1 - Monroe 4 - This was an important win for Ellering's new Legion of Doom. Taking the loss in stride, Monroe indicated that he was still seeking a resolution to his ongoing rivalry with Adrian Street and George Steele.
ADRIAN STREET (w/ George Steele) def. Fit Finlay via submission at 11:05. - Street finished Finlay with a London Bridge Leglock. -- Tokens: Street 2 - Finlay 2 - A stroke of misfortune wound costing Finlay the match. As he was preparing for a high risk move, Street pushed the referee into the ropes and caused Finlay to lose his balance. Sputnik Monroe rushed the ring to protest the decision, leading to an altercation between him and Steele.
BOBBY EATON, DENNIS CONDREY & RANDY ROSE def. Stan Hansen, Jack & Jerry Brisco via pinfall at 4:32. - Condrey pinned Hansen after a shoulder powerslam. -- Tokens: Hansen 3 - The action was fast and furious, making it nearly impossible for the referee to keep track of which competitors were legally inside the ring at any given time. In the confusion, Condrey dropped Hansen into a pinning combination. Hooking the tights for good measure, he solidified the Midnight Express as number one contenders for the LCW Universal Tag Team Championship.
JACKIE FARGO def. Jimmy Snuka via pinfall at 2:11. - Fargo pinned Snuka after an ATOMIC DROP. -- Tokens: Snuka 1 - This encounter was a definite extension of the fierce rivalry taking place between Bruiser Brody and The Crusher. Wanting to end the match before Snuka could gain his bearings, Fargo nailed his opponent with a turnbuckle wrench and then disposed of the weapon before the referee noticed.
LARRY ZBYSZKO def. Baron von Raschke via pinfall at 12:37. - Zbyszko pinned Baron after a PILEDRIVER. -- Tokens: Zbyszko 1 - Baron 2 - Displaying his trademark ruthless behavior, Zbyszko used every underhanded trick at his disposal in order to beat the man that he once considered his closest ally. Nikolai Volkoff arrived to help Baron, but was cut off by Iron Sheik.
LCW Universal Heavyweight Championship Match LOU THESZ def. Gorilla Monsoon via pinfall at 6:57. - Thesz pinned Monsoon after a THESZ PRESS. -- Tokens: Monsoon 1 - Although he managed to overpower the champion for a good portion of the contest, a single slick reversal allowed Thesz to secure his footing. Swiftly transitioning from one hold to the next, he neutralized Monsoon's size advantage. Lou Thesz retained the LCW Universal Heavyweight Championship for a successful version six title defense.
No Holds Barred Match BOBO BRAZIL & KILLER KOWALSKI def. Mad Dog Vachon & Ray Stevens via pinfall at 9:35. - Brazil pinned Stevens after a COCO BUTT. -- Tokens: Stevens 3 - With surprisingly fluid teamwork, Brazil and Kowalski appeared virtually unstoppable in this brutal showdown. The crowd cheered the unlikely pair as they ended their bitter feud with last year's Tag Team of the Year award winners in glorious fashion. This outcome also had many thinking that Brazil and Kowalski might be the favorites to win the next Heroes Cup.

Go Midnight Express. Still wonder how long Brazil can trust Kowalski. Think it might be time for Snuka to tour the territories for a while.

Go Midnight Express. Still wonder how long Brazil can trust Kowalski. Think it might be time for Snuka to tour the territories for a while. The MX have really been going strong since they got over that initial hump... They will be getting another crack at the tag belts VERY soon. Honestly, I'm not sure what made me turn Kowalski into the 'reluctant face'... Brazil is probably aware that he can't trust his new partner, but with the Heroes Cup right around the corner, he's willing to try. Superfly is most likely one individual that I will put on hiatus before too much longer... Of course, he and Brody are participating in the Heroes Cup as well... So, a lot depends on what happens there. Always value your input, my friend... Currently working on yet another indy reboot... The territorial approach wasn't really working for me... Gonna try a kind of national promotion instead... Appreciate you taking the time to check out everything that I post... Many thanks!

I enjoyed the last few shows but am really bummed at the way Randy Savage lost the title in the three-way bout. Not a great way to lose it after 25 straight successful title defenses, especially since he wasn't actually beaten for it. I've always felt those should be elimination matches so the champ has a fair shot but at any rate a tough break for the "Macho Man".
Lou Thesz vs. Gorilla Monsoon was a match I was really anticipating, and it looks like Monsoon fared pretty well despite the losing effort. I'm pretty shocked at the lack of success for Stan Hansen thus far. Hopefully he can kick it into gear because he has a pretty strong card. Those darn dice!
Keep the great action coming my friend, an always enjoyable read.

Keep the great action coming my friend, an always enjoyable read. Must agree that it was a heartbreaking manner in which the Reign of Macho Madness came to an end... Almost 600 days... But, Handsome Harley is now the champ and he's definitely no slouch... And Savage ain't going nowhere... It's gonna be lots of fun figuring out which direction he goes next. Thesz remains champion, turning aside another potent challenger... I was hoping that I could justify pushing Hansen towards a title shot... Just hasn't worked out that way... Yet! Truly appreciate the constant encouragement, my friend... Many thanks!
