NEW NWA WORLD CHAMPION!!!

In what can be described as a HUGE upset NWA SS Champion The Hobo defeated NWA World Champion Nature Boy Buddy Rogers to become the NEW NWA World Champion!

This win is not without some controversy though. Shaun Ricker was in Hobo's corner as in what Ricker describes "friend and moral support".

Ricker seemingly turned over a new leaf after he and his former manager Percy Pringle had a falling out. Ricker then befriended Hobo and offered to be in his corner for his match with Rogers. Hobo was initially reluctant but Ricker finally convinced him saying Rogers would use every dirty tactic in the book.

Flash forward to this past NWA SS card. The Hobo was putting up a good fight against Rogers but eventually got trapped in the FIGURE FOUR GRAPEVINE. Out of the referee's view Ricker smashed Rogers in the face with an unknown object. With the hold broken The Hobo (who had no idea what had transpired) was back in the fight. Later in the match Rogers again had control and put Hobo down with a piledriver. Ricker pulled Hobo outside the ring to keep him from being pinned. Ricker began to help Hobo to his feet as Rogers came outside.

Rogers nailed Ricker but Hobo clotheslined Rogers! Hobo rolled Rogers back into the ring... hit the Hobo Train followed by STREET PREACHER for the upset victory! Ricker came into the ring and tossed Rogers out before celebrating his "friend's" victory!

This is way worse than when Koko beat Giant Baba for the belt clean in my original LOW fed.

Really like the dynamic that is starting to take shape between The Hobo and Ricker... It's not often that you see someone of the caliber of the Nature Boy being relegated to a supporting role... Great storytelling!

Doug Gilbert (w/Eddie Gilbert) made his debut against Jake "The Milkman" Milliman and was disqualified when Eddie interfered and attacked Jake! The Gilberts looked to send a message to NWA Global with their debut and make an example out of Milliman. Eddie and Doug savagely beat Jake until The Armstrongs hit the ring and ran them off!

Alexis Smirnoff pinned Soul Train Jones after the HEART PUNCH

The Taylors(c) beat The Midnight Express (w/Jim Cornette) when Tug Taylor pinned Bobby Eaton after the ANCHOR DROP. Cornette was LIVID after the match...although Eaton was pinned this time it looked as if Eaton and Cornette blamed Condrey for the loss! Condrey was upset with being blamed and shoved Cornette and left the ring...
