SOONER STATE WRESTLING has been purchased by a company known only as TG, INC. From this purchase will come a reformatted weekly television program called Thunder. Teddy Long has come aboard as the new Commissioner. The Announce team will be lead by Gordon Solie and Tod Keneley. Interviews shall be conducted by Solie, Bill Apter, and Roddy Piper with Piper's Pit. The new program will begin this week.

This Weekend in Mexico both the Womens and World Titles changed hands in Mexico City. Angelina Love defeated Fabulous Moolah to become the new Womens Champion and Eddie Gilbert (with Mr. Hughes) beat Mil Mascaras for the World Title (with a big help from Hughes!) Gilbert had to be escorted safely from the arena as the crowd was rioting!

The Underground Arena, Oklahoma City, OK
The show opens with Teddy Long backstage as he gets interrupted by Wild Red Berry. Berry rants about Jerry Lawler and The Memphis Mafia running Bobby Shane out of the territory. After a couple moments Long gets tired of hearing it and tells him "Hey playa, why dont you take this up with The King himself? You got a match with him tonight!" Berry is left dumbfounded and upset!
The Trooper d. Johnny Rodz via standing dropkick
**- Gordon Solie interviews The Trooper after the match. The Trooper says he's in Sooner State to bring law and order back. His first target is Manny Fernandez! He challenges Fernandez to a match next week. Fernandez came out and accepted!
Manny Fernandez d. George South via DQ when The Trooper interfered and attacked Fernandez.

Guest: The Dark Menace
The Dark Menace made his Sooner State debut with a quote from an Alice Cooper song "Take a look at my face, I am the future... and the world belongs to me." He then went on to demand a title match against the newly crowned World Tag Champions (last week in Japan they defeated The Destroyer & Giant Baba for the belts) Road Warriors. Teddy Long came out and granted The Dark Menace's demand with " Best of luck Playa, you'll need it"

Sooner State Wrestling Thunder Underground Arena Oklahoma City, OK At the beginning of the show Commissioner Teddy Long came out and called Wild Red Berry out to the ring. He told Berry due to last week's shenanigans his charges Killer Kowalski and Gorilla Monsoon have a match with Jerry Lawler and Bill Dundee...RIGHT NOW!!! Lawler & Dundee d. Kowalski & Monsoon via DQ when Kowalski and Lawler brawled outside the ring and Kowalski assaulted the referee! Bateman (debut) d. George South via sleeper **- after the match Gordon Solie interviewed Bateman. Bateman got irritated by Solie's in depth questions and threatened him. Jerry Brisco came to Solie's rescue. Teddy Long has signed a match for these two men. "Timeless" Levi Shapiro(debut) d. Will Allday(debut) via IRON CLAW Gordon Solie interviewed the debuting Thunderkitty. Thunderkitty is looking forward to facing the top female talent in Sooner State. Tessa Blanchard d. Thunderkitty via DOUBLE KNEE FACEBREAKER Manny Fernandez d. The Trooper via gut wrench suplex. **- After the match Fernandez assaulted The Trooper injuring him 1 card. THE HOT SEAT with Bill Apter Guest: PWA World Champion Eddie Gilbert **- Gilbert was not at a loss for words as he bragged about defeating Mil Mascaras for the title (with lots of help from Mr. Hughes). Gilbert stated that Sooner State is his home now. Gilbert then took to insulting his longtime rival Jerry Lawler. Lawler came out and confronted the champ! The fight broke out until Teddy Long ordered the two men to take it to the ring! "Hot Stuff" Eddie Gilbert d. "The King" Jerry Lawler via count out. **- Lawler had the match won until Kowalski and Monsoon interfered. Lawler fought them off outside the ring until Mr. Hughes clocked Lawler with a slapjack from behind giving Gilbert the count out victory. North American Title Match Magnum T.A.(c) d. Alexis Smirnoff (with Nikita Breznikov) via DQ when Smirnoff smashed Magnum with the flag pole PWA World Tag Title Match The Road Warriors (c) (with Paul Ellering) d. The Gladiators (with The Dark Menace) via DQ **- This match came out from The Dark Menace's challenge last week on The Hot Seat. The fans were in awesome of this "tag team from the future" that The Dark Menace claims is just the first part of the first wave of his invasion force. The match was short but hard hitting. The referee disqualified The Gladiators when Massacre gave Animal a "Gladiator Piledriver" through the.announce table! The Dark Menace was pleased by this and said this is just the beginning! Im sure The Road Warriors are looking to evening the score very soon!  |

**- Even battle from these two participants but in the end it was Fernandez who managed to draw first blood.

LIGHT HEAVYWEIGHT TITLE MATCH
Danny Hodge(c) d. AJ Styles via abdominal stretch
**- Holy Hell what a match! Both men took each other to the limit. Several close calls by both men. The crowd was really into this exciting match. Hodge wins in possibly his hardest challenge hes faced as Champion. 5 stars! 11 tokens total.
WORLD TAG TITLE MATCH
Road Warriors(c) d. Rock N Roll Express via DOOMSDAY DEVICE on Gibson
**- Good match, Ricky and Robert gave Hawk and Animal a fight but in the end the champs proved too tough.

**- Magnum came in like a house of fire and gave Smirnoff quite a beating and put the big Russian down with 2 straight Belly to Bellys to put an end to this rivalry.
TITLE UNIFICATION MATCH - Best of 3
Great Plains Champion Barry Windham d. World Champion Eddie Gilbert 2 falls to 1.
**- Gilbert took the first fall in a one sided battle. Windham seemed to come alive in the second fall. After a lengrhy battle Gilbert falls victim to the LARIAT. Windham kept the momentum in the deciding fall and once again hit the LARIAT to unify the titles.

SOONER STATE WRESTLING NEWSLINE (over the hiatus)
The Poffos made their return to the territory with Randy Savage and Lanny Poffo issuing a challenge to Jerry Lawler and Bill Dundee for the Homecoming Show in late December.
Nikita Breznikov and his crew (Iron Sheik & Nikolai Volkoff) have also returned to the territory.
Look for new talent to arrive and former talent return to the area over the new year.
The Appalachian Wrestling Alliance has recently opened its doors and has seen some current and former Sooner State stars appearing in AWA stomping grounds (Eastern Tennessee). Already some AWA staff and talent have been talking about the AWA being the superior fed and they will prove it! Will this become a war or federations?
The Homecoming Show takes place this week and the following matches are signed.

HOMECOMING
MYRIAD CONVENTION CENTER
CARD RESULTS
The Road Warriors successfully defended the Tag Titltes against Doug Somers and Buddy Rose.
Jerry Brisco defeated Light Heavyweight Champion Danny Hodge with the FIGURE FOUR LEGLOCK to become the new champion.
Magnum T.A. successfully defended the North American Title against Eddie Gilbert.
Angelina Love successfully defended the Womens Title against Malia Hosaka.
Randy Savage & Lanny Poffo beat Jerry "The King" Lawler in a Handicap Match when Savage hit the FLYING ELBOW DROP.
World Champion Barry Windham successfully defended against Jack Brisco in the main event.
NOTES:
Rose & Somers got slaughtered.
Congratulations goes out to Jerry Brisco on his Light Heavyweight Title victory over Danny Hodge in an exciting match. Hodge's reign lasted 8 months!
Bill Dundee was announced as having transportation troubles. He still had not arrived by the time his tag match with Jerry Lawler against The Poffos started. Lawler decided to go it alone. The King gave Randy and Lanny a heck of a fight but in the end being outnumbered took its toll and Lawler took a beating. After the match as The Poffos celebrated their victory Dundee ran to the ring still in street clothes. The Poffos made a quick exit as Dundee helped Lawler to his feet... and then kicked him in the midsection! Dundee then piledrived Lawler. Dundee then dropped two elbows.on Lawler before hitting the SUPERSTAR BOMB before leaving Lawler laying motionless. The fans were stunned at this turn of events.
The main event proved to be a great one! The Champion won the first fall and Brisco took fall number two. The third fall saw Brisco give the Champion everything he had.and had Windham pinned when J.J. Dillon distracted the referee as Tully Blanchard dropped an elbow on Brisco's neck and then rolled Windham on top. The referee saw Windham on top of Brisco and made the three count.

* - Show began with Gordon Solie talking with "Superstar" Bill Dundee about betraying Jerry "The King" Lawler. Dundee stated he is tired of playing second fiddle to Lawler in the Memphis Mafia and catering to a bunch of Oklahoma yokels. Dundee declared that the only place worse than Texas is Oklahoma and that he is proud to represent Tennessee and Appalachian Wrestling Alliance.
Bill Dundee beat George South with the SUPERSTAR BOMB
Hollywood Blondes defeated The New Breed when Steve Austin pinned Chris Champion after the STUN GUN
Sherri Martel beat Rockin' Robin with the TOP ROPE SPLASH
* - Bill Apter was joined by J.J. Dillon and World Champion Barry Windham. Windham gloated over his (controversial) win over Jack Brisco at Homecoming. Windham stated he was looking for a real challenge. He was soon interrupted by "Dr. Death" Steve Williams who told Windham he never got his rematch from their title (Great Plains) match back in October. Dillon and Windham began to backpedal when Co-Commissioners Charlie Cox and Teddy Long came out. Cox granted Williams the title match (TBA) and Teddy Long barred J.J. Dillon AND Tully Blanchard from ringside. Cox then added he will have a special guest referee chosen by THE FANS! There will be 7 choices for the Guest Referee... they are:

* - After the match Gordon Solie talked to 2 Cold Scorpio but was interrupted when Tracy Smothers and the newly returned BG James attacked Scorpio and beat him with a leather strap. Smothers and James was ran off by security eventually and an angry Scorpio challenged both men to a tag match next weekend. He said he had a phone call to make for the perfect partner!
