News and notes

-MCW Champion Curt Hennig contributed commentary at ringside. Hennig became the inaugural champion by winning a 
over the top battle royale at a non televised event the night before in Knoxville, TN eliminating The Barbarian last.

-Dibiase def. Windham after Windham went shoulder first into the ringpost. Post match, Dibiase with the attack and 
locks the Cobra Clutch in, until Tully Blanchard comes out for the save. 

-Ivan def. Disco with a sick Russian Sickle in under 2 minutes. 

-In a battle of young upstarts, Sam Houston picks up the victory with his Knee Lift right to the face of Armstrong. 

- Davey Boy Smith def. Bruiser Brody in a tremendous main event. Davey Boy picks up the impressive win
  after a huge Gorilla Press Slam.  Davey Boy poses in the ring and makes it well known that he is coming for Hennig, and his MCW championship.

-Tune in next week as Tully Blanchard tries to exact revenge on Ted Dibiase in the main event!

Legend Dave Meltzer reports that Bruiser Brody entered the main event with an undisclosed, yet serious injury.
We are told that the matchmaking committee here at MCW is looking into this situation, as our main event
last week had serious title implications attached to it.

*news and notes*

-Finlay squashes Val in a match of two new wrestlers debuting.

-Finlay passes Koloff on the entrance ramp and gets a nod of approval from Nikita.

-Koloff def. Starr after hitting him with the Russian Hammer.

-Camera goes backstage to meet Jim Cornette w/ Mr. Hughes. In the corner, we see a brief glimpse of Bobby Heenan and Magnum TA talking.

-Cornette discusses arriving in MCW and becoming "the face of MCW".

-After Ted hits the Cobra Clutch twice on Tully, he picks up the win. We see Masked Superstar attack Blanchard in ring after the bell.
 Magnum TA runs out to make the save, clearing out DiBiase and Superstar.

-Barry, Tully, and Magnum open the show in the ring to thunderous applause from the fans. Magnum tells everyone they've had enough of the sneak attacks and invite Dibiase, Superstar, and whoever else they want to bring with them to our first PPV "All the pain money can buy" in 3 weeks. Magnum then announces he's gonna face Masked Superstar tonight in the main event.
-Jannetty def. Armstrong with the Rocker Dropper. In a sign of respect, they shake hands after the match.
-Nikita pins Mean Mike in under a minute to win the tag match. Ivan never tags in.
-Finlay wins via DQ after a tough chair shot from Stallion. Walking back to the dressing room, Ivan invites Finlay out for a drink. "No way you should be getting beat down by Stallion," Ivan says. The   look on Finlay's face, he seems to agree with Ivan.
-Next week, Davey Boy Smith will face Bruiser Brody to see who faces Curt Hennig for the MCW Championship at the PPV.
-Dibiase says in an interview they accept the 6 man tag match at the PPV, and cant wait to share with the world who his 3rd man is, at the PPV.
-MCW champion Curt Hennig will provide commentary for the main event.
-Magnum w/Tully and Barry def. Superstar with Dibiase. This has been the best match rolled so far in MCW by far. Magnum wins with the Belly to Belly Suplex. Post-match, all 5 men are in the ring scuffling, security, staff and even Hennig are trying to break them up, and Dibiase takes the opportunity to sucker punch Hennig!!!

Legend Dave Meltzer is reporting that MCW has signed one of the UK's brightest up and comers, The Dynamite Kid, to a multi-year deal.

Legend Dave Meltzer is reporting that the Booking/Match Making committee is the trio of Bobo Brazil, along with BlackJack Mulligan and Lou Thesz.
These 3 were hired directly under the thought that they will never actively compete in MCW, but no one ever truly stays retired in wrestling.

Dark Match: Disco Inferno def. D-Lo Brown

1. MCW Champion Curt Hennig def. Brad Armstrong
-Hennig defeats the young Armstrong with the Hennig Plex and shakes his hand post-match. Says he can't wait for Davey Boy vs. Brody later. And says he hasn't forgotten DiBiase and that sucker punch from the last show.

Backstage, we see Jim Cornette again, this time he is talking to Val Venis.

2. Ivan Koloff w/ Nikita Koloff and Finlay def. Italian Stallion
-Post-match all 3 beat down Stallion and Ivan tells Finlay that's how you treat a jabrone.

On the widescreen, we see a vignette hyping the debut of The Dynamite Kid.

3. Ted Dibiase w/ Masked Superstar def. Marty Janetty
-Dibiase hits the Cobra Clutch twice to defeat Marty. Dibiase said it felt good last week to "pummel" the champ last week.
But his current business is the 6 man tag at the PPV, then he will get back to "slapping around" Hennig, if he even has the Championship after the PPV.

4. Hugh Morrus def. Sam Houston
-Morrus hits No Laughing Matter for the win.

***Main Event***
Number one contenders match, the winner will face Curt Hennig for the MCW Championship.

5. Bruiser Brody def. Davey Boy Smith
-Bruiser connects with the jumping knee drop for the pin.

Hennig walks down the ramp and into the ring, and the show closes with the champion and challenger face to face.
