Thanks for comments Swarm . With so many options for managers in the game I cannot resist using them for this event. Glad you found the tournament Lee and hope you have a chance to check back in as things go along. Lots of promoter’s making picks for this next match. . . onto the action! Bob Roop (20) v. The Barbarian (45) w/Mr. Fuji Morgan Dollar has strict instructions for both competitors. Roop neutralizes Barbarian with a reverse hammerlock and a gut wrench backbreaker looks as impressive as it is punishing. A suplex and Barbarian has to bail and regroup. Barbarian trips over Dr. Mike Lano however and the fans love it. Roop with a spinning neckbreaker and another suplex. Barbarian bails and Roop comes out after him. Barbarian grabs Roop and slams him onto the ringside table which is quickly reduced to ruble. Roop is left in a heap and we have our first disqualification finish of the tournament. Next match . . . Jimmy Snuka (13) v. Mr. Hughes (52)

Technical decision or not, it looks like Barbarian was being owned up to that point... Well deserved win for Roop.
Superfly in the next match. 🤟

Cool to see Roop advance. Knew the DQ bug would bite at some point. Snuka should handle this.

Thanks everyone for the picks. It does not look like anyone is giving Hughes a chance.
Jimmy Snuka (13) v. Mr. Hughes (52)
Superfly gets the early advantage with his speed and a backbreaker puts Hughes to the mat. A piledriver looks to nearly kill Hughes but he manages to reverse a whip to the corner and lands a kick. Big boot to the face downs Snuka for a one count (R8/P3). SPIKE SLAM. 1, 2, ¾ (R5/P4). THOUGHT IT WAS OVER! Power bomb and Snuka rolls to the floor. Hughes is out after him and Snuka bounces Hughes’ face off the ringside table. Another brawl on the floor follows and they head back to the ring. Snuka goes to the top but Hughes slams him to the mat. BOOO! Power bomb. Snuka escapes to ringside. Superfly is back in the ring where triple backbreakers are waiting for him. Snuka avoids a kick to the knee and plants Hughes with a piledriver. Two count (R7/P4). Snuka goes to the top . . . SUPERFLY LEAP. Morgan Dollar makes the three count (R7/P8).
Perhaps a little bit closer then many expected.
Up next . . . Buddy Rogers (12) v. Pampero Firpo (53)

Firpo is dangerous and unpredictable but still going with the Nature Boy.
