Lance At-Las was my favorite when I was a kid and this re-imagining is pretty drastic. The original is a classic with a fairly traditional noble good guy look. However, the new one does make way more sense for a guy who has been living like a hermit on Mars for 1000 years. So far Mr Galaxy is easily the star of the set from an art standpoint, but this one is pretty nice too. Mayhem should be off the charts. Let's not give the artists ideas... seriously, I can't imagine a wrestler going "off the charts" in a literal sense.

Speaking of Mayhem, I hope his lack of "(c)" on both out of the ring and deathjump is preserved. It breaks the modern rules, but I thought it was a unique little touch to Mayhem's card and appropriate--his whole thing is that he doesn't execute "strategy" and will take a stupid risk at any opportunity.

Wow! Just as Spike's original 2088 card helped attract new customers (including myself) to the game with that infamous babysitters advertisement, I could see this awesome looking card doing the same thing if it is also used for advertisement purposes.
Spike's 2091 COTG color card is definitely one of my favorite pieces of recent COTG card art (and there have been some great ones recently!)
My Ring of Vega (ROV) Chapter 1 fed is ready to resume, once this set arrives next month, starting with Show #45 (September 2090) with my annual Vega Warfare show as that is the show where I introduce at least most of the new wrestlers for the following year as unannounced participants in my Vega Warfare match. Back at my Show #42, Brute and Massacre had sent Spike back to Aethra for a cleansing so this new Spike card will be ready to make his debut once I resume playing this chapter of my Ring of Vega fed.
So far for me in my ROV fed, Spike's highlights include winning the first-ever Vega Warfare match (which was actually Spike's ROV debut) and being my longest-reigning InterPlanetary Champion at a duration of 11 shows (Shows #30-41.)
Looking forward to seeing what Spike does with his upgraded card!

The original Spike is one of the greatest drawings in the game's history, IMO. The 2091 update was very solid, but not as much character as the first. But this one is fantastic. I'm definitely picking this up. Which means I'll have to back track and get the others too.

Of all the great Spike art, this is definitely my favorite. I think it’s his most serious look. Also, the art really fits the more modern - realistic style than the others. Really cool

While this update is much better than the original 2091 drawing, I just can't get into a Gladiator smiling like a babyface. A smirk, sure, but this looks like he's trying to get on a Wheaties box. Please note that I'm not knocking the drawing, as Werner is my favorite COTG artist ever. That smile though, LOL.

He just looks so massive and so confident. The PP card has been dominating my fed. Just a overpowering card. I may use the art from this card with the back of my PP card. Can not wait!!

Spike was actually the second guy we finished. Mr. Galaxy was the first. I wanted MG to have the best physique while Spike needed to look massive, over 300 lbs. So I got them out of the way first. You see Lance At-Las and he’s a pretty big and strong guy. But Mr. Galaxy shreds him in terms of physique and Spike dwarfs him. So we used those first two guys to map out the rest of the set.
