So has there been any more movement on this? As someone who is starting his LOW fed probably in August (big kick off) I'd love to mark my calendar to be on the lookout for this item!

In addition to the matches that were in the previous LOW special matches book about 15 years ago, I would like to see rules/charts for scaffold matches, stretcher matches, bullrope matches, and bunkhouse stampede matches. I echo this fully - a Bullrope match, bunkhouse stampede, and scaffold and stretcher matches would be fantastic. Also a War Games style match rules would be incredible. However, I know with trademarks you probably would have to call it something else, like The Match Beyond Rules.

One of the Centra sets has rules for a Caged Battlefield Match which is very WarGames-like.

Honestly it is going to be great to have a ton of matches in one place, like a Caged Battlefield Match, which those of us who only play GWF and LOW would have access to! ☺️

At Galacticon, something was said during the Q & A which got my wheels turning. It may be too late for a suggestion, and this may be just something that I want and no one else will, but here goes.
I would think it interesting to see a section of all the main charts historically, so if I wanted to play with the Into the Turnbuckle chart from 2087 with the original cards I could, or if in 2103 I wanted to update to the 2105 Into the Ropes chart I could do that as well. I believe most of the charts besides the current ones are hard to get, so it wouldn't be taking anything away from the store. Since I'm so far behind, I'm not sure how difficult an undertaking this would be, but for me, it would add to this being a true comprehensive Ringside Companion.

The way we've set it up now, it's one document. Matches that apply to both Legends and COTG are listed under their Legends equivalent, in the first half of the book. For example, cage matches rules are listed under "Steel Cage Match". There will then be an index in the COTG section that lists "Cosmic Cage Match - see Steel Cage Match, page XX". This does not make me happy... I know you can say six of one, half dozen of another- but which came first GWF or LOW? COTG is going to be a footnote in the LOW ringside companion?..? This is BLASPHEMY I tell you, BLASPHEMY!!!

Matches that are COTG specific will be in the COTG section in the second half of the book. That's how it's laid out right now. This project falls under "Card Subject to Change". We've had this project in the queue for a while. Whatever format it does end up coming out in, it will be great. If you guys have suggestions of matches you'd like to see (other than the Lego Death Match), let us know. We can't guarantee everything but maybe it can be added to a future set release. Cory Olson, matches I would love to see include: - Scaffold Match
- Bull rope Match
- Bunkhouse Stampede Match
- War Games-esque match (obviously named something else due to copyright/trademark issues)

Will never understand the appeal of a scaffold match but the others are all good.

Will never understand the appeal of a scaffold match but the others are all good. TTX, nor I. I think the big thing is you have some "classics" that involved the match - main event of Starrcade '86. It just feels like a territory staple in some places from the mid to late '80s, sort of like the brass knuckles matches and titles in the '70s to early '80s. It just seems like a good fit in a game that is centered around historic wrestling.

As Jim Coronette once said, a scaffold match can draw a crowd, but only about once every 2 to 3 years. To have them any more often just ruins the mystique.
