I see the advantages of both. Mind you if I don't like what the game has the move as, I just change it anyways or adjust as necessary (like the match where Panther Warrior hit the Canadian Destroyer seven times on Monolith...so I changed it to a superkick for that match)

Was never a fan of Balaal and Coven Black actually biting their opponents to finish them, so I imagined that BITE OF THE SERPENT was an inverted double underhook facebuster (Christian's Unprettier) and BITE OF THE VAMPIRE was a shiranui (Kendrick's Sliced Bread #2)... I also changed Swarm's WASP TRAP into an arm-trap crossface because there just seemed to be way too many sharpshooters being used... HA!

Absolutely understand the concept of leaving some moves open to interpretation as that's some of the fun of the game and then discussing everyone's vision of said Proper Noun Moves. There's already been some great conversations on some of these moves, case in point W.A.R. Gun. A Stun Gun or a direct counter to a Decapitor or piledriver makes SO MUCH SENSE that moving forward it will change my view on the move. The not so much an issue, but talking point, I have is when a character has 3+ moves that are undescribed it gets into a grey area of author's intent and promoter interpretation. Some characters, after removing some basic -1 moves and any listed deathjump, into the ropes, out of the ring, etc. 3+ undefined moves is almost 1/2 the proper move set of a character. So establishing an archetype for a wrestler can be misread. Interesting discussion. Years ago Tom enforced the rule of describing all - 3 moves with special names because he had a lot of fans asking him what they were. So I get it. And that’s how we do it in the GWF sets. All specially named - 3 moves must be given descriptions. I did it the way I like w Kronos on purpose. I can see how it can be controversial and I apologize if it comes off as anything but me trying to make a game set the way I enjoy it and hoping everybody else likes it too lol. Maybe I am selfish trying to project my own enjoyment of the game on others and instead leaving you frustrated. If there are any Kronos guys you would like to ask me about or discuss let’s do it. Fire away. I get it Rob, not an issue just something to discuss which is perfect for a message board! If there's one character I'd love to discuss from a moveset & working style it would probably be Cool. As he's so young and has innate talent, but is extremely cool headed. I have a conflict of would he would fast and agile like a cruiserweight or a measured worker ala Jake Roberts and that in turn would help me define his moveset. Is he a guy that likes to run a lot or climb turnbuckles as a cruiser or as a bomb diffuser would he work his craft down on the mat like a submission technician?

If there's one character I'd love to discuss from a moveset & working style it would probably be Cool. As he's so young and has innate talent, but is extremely cool headed. Man, I love Cool. The more I play the more I like him. Cool is a dare-devil but not in a reckless way. Everything he does is calculated. Cool Under Pressure is definitely a submission move that’s effective versus even the biggest and strongest foe. Haven’t 100% decided exactly what it is yet in my fed, but maybe some kind of nerve pinch/sleeper where he locks down the opponent’s neck while they flail around trying to shake him off. Other times I picture it like an ankle submission where he is cranking back with a cool and calm look on his face as his opponent screams in pain. He is definitely agile and quick thinking but I don’t see him as a cruiser weight in style. More like a brawler. He uses a big kick in both tag and singles finishers. So he’s a punch, kick and knock you out type of guy. Can see him being very calm and calculating in the ring but moving fast when he needs to, but I don’t see him as typical agile guy. That’s why he’s not a -4 ag like Sleeze was. Cool treats his opponents like the bombs he diffuses. He studies them, takes his time figuring them out then goes in for the kill. So in short, I’d say Cool is a dare-devil brawler. Like an RVD more than a guy who just throws himself around like a human weapon. Warden is more that guy, willing to sacrifice himself for a W. Cool is more cerebral. That’s how I see him. What do you think about him?

I think it says a lot about the design of a character that it takes several paragraphs to describe him. I think that's why I brought up Cool specifically as his character traits really mean he could go in several directions as he is not easily definable as 1 'thing'.
What I think really helps me frame him is you describing him as a quick thinking brawler as that definitely puts him in another category than the 'cruiserweight' mold. It's that 360 splash off the TB on his card that was throwing me off, but now I can frame that as a high spot.
This is really great to get some of the nuts and bolts of his design Rob. It was great to hear you on the KoPW podcast talking in depth about the card layouts even though you didn't have time to get to all of them. Talks like that and you talking to your process of why someone like Cool isn't a -4 on agility for said reasons is really interesting.

Ever since this thread, I've pictured the Decapitator as a Stan Hansen lariat, while the WAR Gun is a Bradshaw style lariat.
