I absolutely love DQs in the game. LOVE them! Countouts too, but DQs get me excited about potential future storyline possibilities. And when it happens in a random match between two wrestler/teams, I get jazzed that I have a new storyline to work through. I do not have titles change hands on DQs or count outs and wouldn't unless it was a stipulation of that particular match. I am 100% the same in this regard. Count-outs and DQs can set up storylines. Especially if the guy winning probably shouldn't have had any reason to think he'd win! As for titles changing hands on a DQ or a CO? I only use that as the stipulation in a big blow-off match when the champ has had a tendency to duck out on the match or "deliberately" get himself disqualified.

If it's really setting up something, great. If it's just a throwaway match it's super annoying especially when you have other plans. (My reason why I got tired of DQs in Crocket and WWF and early WCW where it was just.....do 20 minutes and then for no reason do a run in for a dq)

(My reason why I got tired of DQs in Crocket and WWF and early WCW where it was just.....do 20 minutes and then for no reason do a run in for a dq) Obviously we all have our own ways of doing things... Hence the popularity of the phrase, "It's up to you, promoter!". But the "throwaway" matches that end in a dq often turn into a new and unexpected storyline... That is one of the things that I love about this game. This is why I don't plan ahead too much... To me, the point of having a game that is dependent on dice rolls is made kind of pointless if you are striving only for a particular predetermined outcome... but, to each his own, I guess. 😊

I do understand, however, that sometimes dq's happen way too often, and I use the common "double roll" dq rule for that reason...

I don't mind when others use it. Just not for my feds.

Ya I do not model any of my feds COTG or LOW after today’s wrestling. All my stuff is inspired by 80’s-90’s WWF/NWA stuff mostly.
The only feds I run like real time are my Indy feds. I suppose if there was ever an AEW game the disqualification would have to all be super low. But they’re doing their own thing anyways.

I have house ruled two stipulations re disqualifications: (1) no DQ finishes in consecutive matches and (2) maximum of 2 DQ finishes per card. I treat my matches as 100% worked. If I had more DQ finishes, I would need to fire myself as booker. The more hardcore guys must love been booked later on your cards . Less chance of been Dq'd if you only allow two Dq finishes Personally rules are rules in my opinion . Maybe this is why I'm having 0min17 matches but most others having say 45 minutes matches . Turning a blind eye to most Dqs . I do agree Dqs can be a great storyline , especially when a wrestler gets screwed out of a title match

So for my 2-card debuts: Gotch beat Douglas by submission. Hackenschmidt pinned Douglas a few days later. Fenton pinned Irslinger. The Stranglers destroyed Corino and Snow. Gama beat Cobb by count out. Turk beat Roller with a body scissors after hurling into the crowd over and over again.
Loving the new charts and looking forward to the ultimate showdown between Douglas’ team and Gotch’s.

I pay them and they do what I say. Any boy goes into business for himself answers to the office. 😎
