Highly competitive match. Koloff's power vs Bastie's agility. The conclusion of the match came when Koloff attempted a clothesline as Bastien was in the corner. Bastien dodges and Koloff hits the turnbuckle hard. Koloff goes down and Bastien uses a quick roll up for the win
Bastien will face the winner of the (4) Giant Baba/(29) Billy Red Lyons match

Very exciting match between Bastien and Koloff... It would be kinda cool to see Lyons pull off another upset and face his fellow Redhead in the next round... Lots of fun!

(13) Greg Valentine (4 tokens) d. (20) Hillbilly Jim (4 tokens)
Hard fought match that went back and forth quite a bit. Valentine locks Jim in a lengthy figure four leglock. Jim finally gets to the ropes to break the hold but the damage is done. Jim gets to his feet but Valentine was waiting and hits Jim with a neckbreaker for the win
Valentine awaits the winner of the (4) Tommy Rich/(29) Buddy Rose match

Jannetty seemed poised to win the match. A high risk mistake by Jannetty, a fallen official and the Mountie takes advantage using the Shock Stock to pick up the shocking win

(4) Buddy Rogers (3 tokens) d. (29) Mike Dibiase (2 tokens)
Rogers had a tough time with a game opponent. Dibiase had Rogers reeling for the majority of the match. But once Rogers was able to lock in the Figure Four Grapevine it was over
Rogers moves on to face (20) Mad Dog Vachon in round 2

Babb was going to make sure Lyons did not follow Bastien's lead by upsetting him. He ends this quickly and nails Lyons with two Neckbreaker Drops to make sure it was over
Baba will face the other half of the Flying Redheads when he faces (20) Red Bastien next
