King of the Ring 2021 by the Game

the King of the Ring 2021 tournament presented by Filsinger Games.

The King of the Ring is a huge 128 man tournament (similar to March Madness) to crown the very best wrestler of the GWF.

For this tournament I will be using only B&W cards. It is a single elimination tournament. I have split the brackets into 4. Northwest, Southwest, Northeast and Southeast. The wrestlers have been separated into brackets by debut years. Seedings have been decided by the wrestlers Rahl ratings. Who will be the crowned the best? Will there be a cinderella man in the tournament? Stay tuned to find out.

Northwest Bracket Match 1

(16) Jim Londos (3 tokens) d. (17) John Pesek (7 tokens)

Londos took control early and almost scored a quick win. Pesek fought back and was able to momentarily control the match. Londos fought back the onslaught and took a big advantage. Pesek was cut in the process. Pesek sensing the blood turned things around and nearly pinned Londos. It was too late as that offense was all Pesek had left. Londos was able to withstand and was able to finally pin Pesek after a Crotch Lift and Slam.

Londos now awaits the winner of the Lou Thesz/Henry Irslinger match.

Southwest Bracket Match 1

(17) Bob Orton Sr (7 tokens) d. (16) Dick Hutton (3 tokens)

Back and forth action early in this match. Hutton takes over the match and seemingly had Orton beat. Orton was busted open. As Hutton tried to finish off Orton with a sleeper, Orton is able to counter. He senses the blood and turns it on and nails Hutton with two Piledriver's to score the win and an upset per seeding.

Orton will face the winner of the Mil Mascaras/Butcher Vachon match

A little disappointed that my Vampire brother didn't make the cut to appear... But, I'm still a sucker for a massive, monster tournament... Cut 'em up!

Northeast Bracket Match 1

(16) Larry Zbyszko (5 tokens) d. (17) One Man Gang (7 tokens)

No one dominated this match as the each man took turns on offense. Zbyszko kept trying to find ways to get the big man off his feet while trying to elude him. Zbyszko had a trick up his sleeve as he removes the turnbuckle and nails the One Man Gang against it busting him open. Eventually the big man was winded which allowed Zbyszko to hit the Piledriver for the win.

Zbyszko now awaits the winner of the Randy Savage/Cousin Luke match

Sorry... You stated this was a tourney just for B&W cards in your opening post and I totally missed it... Looking forward to some great action.

Southeast Bracket Match 1

(16) Brad Armstrong (3 tokens) d. (17) Jonnie Stewart (6 tokens)

Very competitive match early but eventually Armstrong takes over. Stewart lost some blood in this one as he takes an ugly fall outside the ring. Armstrong picks up the win with a Russian Leg Sweep

Armstrong will face the winner of the Steve Williams/Doug Gilbert match

Thesz proves why he is worthy of the #1 seed as he dominates this match. He picks up the win with a Greco Roman Backdrop

Butcher dominated early working on Mascaras back. Mascaras is able to turn things around and pins Butcher following a Flying Bodypress
